NotGamerGate is the app that shows what can happen when the world takes to Twitter to voice their views. It is a unique and upsetting game set during the recent GamerGate controversy.

All of the tweets used in the game are real, the only case in which amendments have been made is for the redaction of personal information.

Played at an insidious pace the player’s mission is to shoot the twitter-birds that tow the tweets across the screen.

Players take aim by running into position and then hitting the ‘Delete’ or ‘Retweet’ buttons to fire off the appropriate response. As the player deletes the ‘bad’ tweets and retweets the ‘good’ they gain followers. The aim is to gain as many followers as possible.

As the game progresses the player will also find themselves dodging falling spam and trying to catch favourites to further increase their following.
