Colin McRae Rally

Graphics, tracks, all natural surroundings are top notch, but its tilt steering is beyond Suckville!!! Steering is the core of race games & this one, steering is one of the worst. You steer more by tapping the brake. Needs a tilt steering overhaul with a sensitivity adjustment, a volume control, & quicker load time, an easy fix & go from 2* to an easy 4*, maybe 5*. No updates in over 20 mo, not a good sign.

I had this game on my wikipad tablet,it played well BUT the frame rate would drop now and then. On my lenovo Tab S8 it plays loads better. The touch screen controls work perfect. Only downside is the long loading times when entering a race. If codemasters could fix this I would rate it 5 stars.

Not too euphoric about this one. Enjoyed it but have to admit that most of this is about good memories of playing this one back on PC for nights and nights on. Android version greatly brings back the spirit of these days, but asides this, the game unfortunately doesn't have much to offer, and in some ways (motion control) falls back behind loads of other rallye / racing simulations on Android. Could be improved...

I had this on my iPhone and it was awsome so I got it for my s6edge+. It runs great but at times the touch screen controls will stop working for a slit second. Sending you straight into a tree lol hope they address this issue soon because this is the best rally game on Google play

Really nice refreshing game.. nice physics, graphic and nostalgic.. but lots of improvement needs to be done, control is unstable if using accelerometer, loading time relatively long compared to other racing game and missed several experience in previous collin macrae, such as replay after we drive and tuning the car before starting course like original game would do. also it would be nice if compatible with the controller

A really good quality port, very authentic feel from the old McRae games I used to play on Windows 98. However with all great things comes a BUT, and it's not a yummy, curvaceous butt that you can really sink your teeth into, no, that but is loading times. They. Are. Long. Does it taint the experience? A little, yes. But if you can put it aside, certainly worth four stars.

Game loads fine, stage select. fine, car select fine, goes to "loading" screen but never gets to the start of race :( any help? If not, refund please. If you really wanna play this game just download the epsxe PlayStation emulator and this game and play that way I have and it works fine, LOL my phone can run a PlayStation fine but not this half game app made for mobiles!!

Very good video quality and very bad handling with steering. No chance to calibrate, it is like an arcade game you play with bad buttons. No chance to drive straight ahead with gyro handling. No video options, no metric units. Otherwise it is a great game. I will wait for updates and these things to be fixed. If they don't it is no worth buying it.

Nexus 7. Would have been a five but for the fact that it keeps crashing when loading stages in the Australian series. Sometimes closing and restarting works but not always, and, could you add a loading bar for the stages as sometimes they take so long to load I think it HAS crashed ! Otherwise a superb game. Update, 28/09/15, Random stages will not load, no sound on most of the Greece stages. Down to three stars until fixed.

Great game for only 10c and has good graphics, but has some issues. Firstly, this game will drain your battery FAST! Secondly; the control buttons are too small and the sweet spot is too easy to miss. Also the sound keeps bugging out. That being said, at least it doesn't crash as much as Colin McRae Helicopter Simulator!

Best Racing Game/App ever! Excellent control and lovely scenery. It would be nice to have a sound mute option...so I could listen to my own choice of music while driving, (at the moment I hear both the game sounds and my own music). Thanks so much for such a brilliant game amid so many crap ones.

My only issue so far is that the game sound cuts in and out during rallys. This I have adapted too but it is very annoying. I thought it was a problem with my phone at first, but after checking it seems to be a code problem with the app. Fix this and you'll get that fifth star.

Solid racing. Physics are solid and gsmeplay is good. Two major gripes though. 1) is that the touch controls for steering are way too small it's too easy to miss a target and go spearing off in the wrong direction. 2) is major bug I've been experiencing where the sound randomly cuts in and out. I'd those two issues are sorted it would have been an easy five.

This game is very badly coded. Bugs galore and interruptions just because, it's super infuriating. I love the license and it doesn't do it justice at all. When I chose championship, it starts loading the race and stays there until I close it 4 times out of 5. It's not like I'm using a droid 1, but a Galaxy S7! This is unacceptable

This plays like a dream, although I am having sound issues. It randomly cuts completely off just after starting a game or less often the co driver cuts off. Unless I haven't seen it an online score board seems essential in a game like this otherwise once it's completed I probably won't go back to it.

CONTROLLER SUPPORT PLEASE This is a port of a great game. But i don't understand why the standart HID gamepads are not supported. Gamepad works on Android since 2010 - It's 2015 now - wake up!. It's like 4 hrs of work (Yes i am a dev). Also no Android TV support is a big fail these days. Had potential but the touchscreen controls just suck.

Says I may experience performance issues with my device I got a galaxy note 3 it did stutter a few times not a big deal. Needs google play achievements will rate 5 stars if you add them in update.

It's a great port, looks exactly as I remember it. The controls are easy and responsive. The graphics are exactly what I want from a mobile game. The only downside would be how long a race might be, so it's not a pick up and play game. But then if you're after a game to waste some time, it's perfect.

Same look as the old Cm Rally I was addicted to 15 years ago. Problems - controls so sensitive you are in a constant tank slapper and crash with nothing you can do about it, very annoying, stages take minutes to load, and audio cuts out regularly. With some tweaks this could be the best mobile game I've played but only 3 stars for now.

There is too many major bugs in this game, - need a lot of time for loading - touch contor some time doesn't work - the sound same too, some time it's gone - my device is mi4c - sorry for my bad english The question is, when you want to upgrade this game? its been loong time since the last update i think.. But...however, i still love this game..thanks

Awesome game, can't wait to see this develop even more. I am on an LG G5, only issues I have is during actual play, sound cuts out, then once the race is over, music starts right up. Its definitely not the phone as this is the only app I have that issue with. Otherwise, amazing game!!

It's still fun to play. Runs well on my S6. But it just seems to try and be old and new at the same time - failing at both. It would have been cool if it was actually more like the PS1 original. Lacks features and has a poor UI

Game is not working properly on Samsung phones. Probably most popular android phones. Loading times never end at some point in championship. Very dissapointed. I did only pay 10p for it so no big loss here.

Physics feel just right, like most other CodeMasters racing games (dunno how Thumbstar did it with Unity). Only complaint is imprecise steering with either thumb or accelerometer controls. Continued input (more taps or further tilt) disproportionately increases steering angle. Otherwise, this is a pretty decent game.

Way too slow to load. Codrivers voice is annoying and redundant and cannot be turned off! Even after completing Australian championship i cant advance to next location. Cars performance deterirates quickly then barely drives at30 mph. Refund Refund!!!

Says not optimal for my galaxy s6, works ok but I don't think the tilt controls would work... Anyways the main issue I have is that the game doesn't save to Google play account so I start over every time I get a new device or reset my device. Please fix this

Just enough sliding around to make it more than a simple racer. You gotta learn when to take speed off to not go flying off hills. Tilt steering needs a sensitivity option on my device though. As is it's impossible to make small adjustments. I use the digital touch option.

I love how this game is an actual rally game, not just an gymkhana arcade. This is the best mobile rally game I've found. The only problem I have with it is some sound issues. The sound in my headphones cuts out pretty often and no its not my headphones. I've tried two pairs of headphones and all other sounds work with them so it has to be the game. Other than that there's no issues, I love this game but please try to fix the sound issue. (I'm on android)

Locks up whenever you select a game. Also displays a warning it's not compatible with my handset and I may experience performance issues. Would have been nice to know this before. 2 starts as I hope it can be updated to resolve this

Does not deserve to carry the great man's name. Dreadful. I have a 6 month old Galaxy s6 edge which apparently isn't new enough to run this horrendous game correctly. At least that's what it told me on installation. 0.5/10 game play dreadful. Graphics dreadful. Give me back my money. Dreadful.....

Being skeptical, I bought this on offer for 10p and after just one go I was hooked. Owning a stupidly large Android tablet (Galaxy Notepro 12.2/5.0.2 Lollipop) I assumed it wouldn't work or feel right but it did! Controls seemed nice and fit well. Apparently though this game isn't recommended for my device, as per the start up message, but it seems to play fine. Overall, it's a great mobile game!

The stages take a long time to load. Also, would be nice to be able to adjust steering sensitivity. The car is all over the place... And, would be even better to add at least some customization options, such as paint, wheels etc.

Fanatastic handling and frame rate. I can't really believe it but it is the most fun i have had on a rally game since sega rally twenty odd years ago.

I have a high end phone and I would like to get the best graphic out of this game. Please add graphic options such as draw distance etc so i can tweak it my self. I played CMR since the first one came out on PC

Had a few issues early on with sound but they seem to have rectified themselves. As a long time rally fan, the co driver narration makes it a cut above other rally games.

Brilliant game. Used to lave it on the PS. This Android version is also great. Eventhough the game plays really awsome when I link to my TV using MHL cable and using tilt controls, PLEASE ADD ANALOG CONTROLLER SUPPORT and more country stages. Problem I'm facing is loosing audio in certain stages.

Game just stays on loading screen. Please refund, haven't been able to play at all.

I installed it on a previous phone (s4) only to get a message saying "this app is not recommended for your phone" when I opened it the first time. I obtained an immediate refund as I didn't want to waste my money on a crappy app. When I got a new phone (Z5) recently I installed this app thinking it must work with my phone now but I still get the same message. I can no longer get a refund due to google app store policies. Please refund my payment. Some warning would have been nice regarding incompatibilities

The game started out great on dirt but the Corsica stage is really annoying and frustrating.

Used to love it on the PC. Still love it on Android. But the in-car sounds (engine/road/co-driver) all break up and disappear once you get beyond the first rally. If that gets fixed, it'll be back to 5 stars!
