Die Stadt Aschaffenburg zelebriert das 400 jährige Jubiläum von Schloss Johannisburg und es ist wichtig alle Aspekte dieses historischen Ereignisses zu analysieren.
Der Bauherr des Schlosses Johann Schweikard von Kronberg war der Initiator von Hexenprozessen im Kurfürstentum, die 22 Jahre lang anhielten. Während dieser Periode wurden über 1879 Hinrichtungen dokumentiert. Der Besitz der Delinquenten wurde partiell konfisziert und floss in die Staatskasse. Mit unserem Projekt wollen wir auf diese Ereignisse hinweisen und eine kritische Reflexion der Feierlichkeiten stimulieren.

The builder of the castle Johann Schweikard of Kronberg was the initiator of witch trials in the Electorate, which lasted 22 years. During this period over 1879 executions were documented. The possession of the delinquent was partially confiscated and flowed into the state treasury. With our project we want to point to these events and stimulate a critical reflection of the festivities.
