Conflicts: Operation Market Garden is a turn based strategy game set on the European Western Front during the Second World War.
Operation Market Garden was a risky Allied attempt to shorten the end of the Second World War by using three groups of airborne forces to capture multiple bridges to pave a way for a 100-kilometer armored attack to seize the German industrial heartland east of Arnhem. American and British Paratroopers without direct supply line have to depend on the unreliable airdropped supplies until the Allied spearhead reaches them.

This is how a strategic turn-based wargame should work. If you use proper military strategy and tactics, things will not go horribly wrong. The entire "Conflict Series" is must-have for casual and serious wargamers. Joni: great job as usual.

This is the third one that I have purchased of the Conflicts strategy games. As with the others, this is wonderfully reminiscent of the Avalon Hill games that I played growing up!

You play the allies trying to advance an armored spearhead to link up with isolated paratroopers. Fun scenario. Rules include supply air drops, tactical formations for units, ranged artillery, and night turns. Units gain experience and skills from battles. Variable set up ensures it can be replayed many times.

Too bad Montgomery did not have this to game his disaster before he slaughtered his elite paratroopers. Sosabowski would have agreed. Your Allied troops get slaughtered but we die valiantly.

Love the subject but I wish it was on a smaller scale like battalion/company sized units.

This is a regiment/brigade-level simulation of Market Garden, and V.3.2.2.8 fixes many earlier problems. Specifically, the Germans have gone from mostly sitting in place to aggressively attacking the corridor, raising the challenge significantly. Not the best in the series, but it just moved up the table.
