About Rommel And Afrika Korps

Conflicts: Rommel and Afrika Korps is a turn based strategy game which takes place in the North African theater during the Second World War.

After the Italian forces collapse in the North Africa, German HQ sends in some German reinforcements - led by the famous Desert Fox Erwin Rommel. Soon German Africa Corps (known in Germany as Deutsches Afrikakorps, or DAK) springs from assumed defensive setup to a lighting fast attack across the barren area, and in spite of serious supply challenges, Rommel manages to threaten the British strongholds of Cairo and Alexandria. Can you do better?

FEATURES:

+ Historical accuracy: Campaign mirrors the historical setup, including some of the related events, as Operation Flipper, Bardia Raid, sand storms, less than perfect collaboration with Italian troops.

+ Long-lasting: Thanks to in-built variation and the game's smart AI technology, each game provides a unique war gaming experience.

+ Competitive: Measure your strategy game skills against others fighting for the Hall of Fame top spots.

+ Experienced units learn new skills, like improved attack or defense performance, extra move points, damage resistance, etc.

+ Settings: Various settings to alter the look of the gaming experience: different icon sets for units, what to draw on map, etc.

+ Tablet friendly strategy game: Automatically scales the map for any physical screen size/resolution from small smartphones to HD tablets, while settings allow you to fine tune hexagon and font sizes.

+ Inexpensive: The classic WW2 strategy game campaign for the price of a coffee!

Join your fellow strategy gamers in changing the course of World War II!

Supply Rules: To keep your armored and motorized divisions on the move you must use Fuel Trucks to transport fuel from Fuel Depots to front line units. Fuel Depots can be refueled only from El Agheila (unlimited amount) or Tobruk (limited amount). Meanwhile only El Agheila and Benghazi provide food supply, so units must have a route to either of these cities after the British forces have moved.

Tactical Routes: Some hexagons are connected together via green lines forming slowly evolving Tactical Routes, and you can move between such hexagons using Tactical MPs instead of regular MPs. This opens up a completely new tactical dimension.

How to Win: In order to be a victorious general, you must learn to coordinate your attacks in two ways. First, as adjacent units give support to an attacking unit, keep your units in groups in order to gain local superiority. Secondly, it is rarely the best idea to use brute force when it is possible to encircle the enemy and cut off its supply lines instead.

Conflict-Series has offered highly rated Android-only strategy games since 2011. The campaigns are based on the time-tested gaming elements TBS (turn-based strategy) enthusiasts are familiar with from both the classic PC war games and legendary tabletop board games. I also want to thank the fans for all the well thought-out suggestions over the years which have allowed these campaigns to improve at a much higher rate than what any indie developer could dream of. if you have feedback about the Conflict-Series please use email, this way we can have a constructive back and forth conversion without all the limits of the store's comment system. In addition, because I have huge number of projects on multiple stores, it’s just not very sensible to spend handful of hours each day going through hundreds of pages spread all over the Internet to see if somebody has posted a question somewhere -- just send me an email and I will answer to it as soon as I'm online. Thanks for understanding!

Good hex turn-based game. Periodic updates, that are well thought out and generally enhance play. you are buying not just the game, but a rolling improvement program to go with it. You can even suggest enhancements to the developer. Of course, you can't buy victory by purchases, so this is a game for proper strategists, not rich spoilt brats. I have now bought a second game from the same developer (The American Civil War game), and although the mechanics are a little different in each, they are both superb!

Can't recommend this enough. A lot of thought and effort has gone into this game and it shows.

This is a great game that accurately reflects the war in North Africa. Very well done Joni! Any chance to see a PC/Linux version?

There are no frills here, just a solid classic wargame that harkens back to the days of SPI and Avalon Hill. You are Rommel, battling the AI CW all the way to Cairo. The AI gives a credible performance - the aggressiveness of its units is tempered somewhat by their proclivity put themselves out of supply. You do spend a fair amount of time moving supply trucks around, but that's war in the desert for you. Fuel powers everything, and British commandos and raiders can make you hit the new game button in a hurry as you watch your depots burn. There is no save game or undo function, so your decisions are final. I wish the terrain graphics were better, but at least there are plenty of options. Some kind of basic sounds would be nice too, and better documentation. Still, 5 stars for one of the best wargames on Android.

The fuel Achilles heel is a nice add in for the game. You rarely see fuel constraint tactical consideration in many games...the updates are good and overall a fine albet challenging game

Another excellent offering in the Conflicts Series, but with the twists of having to shunt fuel, deal with unreliable allies, sandstorms, and more. Quite challenging and very replayable. I really only have one complaint: Operation Flipper. Historically, this was an attempted commando raid on Rommel's HQ in November 1941; it failed and was not repeated. In Easy mode, it can happen 3-5 times in a single game, which just seems excessive.

Great turn based wargame like the Avalon Hill Afrika Korp game. This Conflict Series game has rules including supply trucks for fuel, sandstorms, and Italian command problems. Units gain experience and skills from combat. Variable set up, and a good AI makes the game highly replayable. This game is a lot of fun. A classic wargame.

I have fallen in love with this game, easy to pick up and play but also very challenging. BTW this is the first game (on Google play store) I've ever used money to actually purchase lol

Great game, very engaging. A bit overblown on the Italian noncollaboration and HQ commando raid. I had three of one and two of the other, within 20 turns.

Rommel&AK is by far the best in the series and that from me who thought Eastern Front might never be bested. R&AK has great new angles like coastal raids, piggy-back fueling, airport jumping and better zone of control.

Just wish that the brits would land somewhere else besides right next to ur main supply base. It's so hard to cover all the ground with so little units. Still won. Just a hassle is all

The creator seems to be getting better with each game that he creates. This one could use a better way of identifying Germans and Italians but overall a solid game.

X70%

Most addictive installment in the series. I haven't gotten much further than Tobruk, but this is the first one where the supply issues feel organic and strategically correct. We now need A NAVAL INSTALLMENT?!?! Please? Don't let DK beat you! How about Tsushima, Guadalcanal or Leyye Gulf? Or (please) Trafalgar? Or a comprehensive Napoleonic naval campaign ??? Like Eastern Front? You are the man to do it!

Another great game, having to supply your forces adds realism and depth and really adds to the game, cool game

X70%

Another quality title from Joni, a personal dream come true for myself. The supply mechanic plays heavy, with limited city sources, transportable depots and trucks to ferry the juice to your armour. This chain of precious fluid is very vulnerable and needs protection. Aircraft movement across sandy airfields supplements your sandstorm weary ground troops. Just about the best 'proper' wargaming you can get on the droid.

This series a good basic engine, but plays more like a puzzle. I keep trying them but continue to struggle with the enjoyment factor. It is probably me! Sorry.
