D-Day 1944 (Conflict-series) for Android
Very challenging. 2-3 turns into it, the Germans attack with powerful units that you need to figure out a response to. Road movement and higher movement points than other games by the developer that I have played makes the game dynamic, where you can push quickly to take cities but the Germans can just as easily cut off your advance units. Misdirection gives the game an element if uncertainty. You have to know when to attack and when not to and it a bitter struggle to defeat the Germans. Definitely recommended.
Awesome. Been looging for ages for these type of games to come to andriod. Really enjoy the table top type games, these are just as fun. Thank you so much for making it.
A really solid wargame in its own right, let alone easily one of the best on Android. Love the quotes and facts that appear. I have played through the campaign once and on my second attempt. AI seems challenging enough at the moment and really like the different outcomes for battles and details such as fatigue and concept of negative movement points units can get, which adds a lot of depth. These factors force you to really consider your tempo and ensure units are rested and replaced with fresh ones to maintain fronts. Emphasis on the encirclement of en units is a lot of fun too, especially by scoring you on larger ones achieved at game end. I will certainly be trying out others in the series and recommend to all tabletop wargamers. Often find myself up too late playing "just one more turn!" Almost forgot to mention very responsive to feedback and gives in depth answers. Well done indeed! Well worth the small price for hours of fun!
This is a fun game. Enjoyed it very much. Looking at the dev's other games now. There are a bunch of them, hard to choose.
Fantastic game! I just finished the game on normal and I am planning on buying the other games in the conflict series because this one is so great. It is well worth the money and the developer deserves every penny. The game has the perfect balance of challenge and reward. One of the best mobile games I have ever played
DD is my sixth Conflicts game. I have not been disappointed, yet. All of Mr. Nuutinen's games are exceptional value for your money.

Could do with more maps too
why did you remove the symbols of the Waffen SS units? This is a historically accurate game, id hate to think that it was because someone or even Google complained.
This game is fun and a little bit challenging. No bugs found and took me about five restarts before I had the rules figured out like allied units can go back to cities not on front line and rest to get hit points back. Allies have to form a front line to prevent German probing attacks. Pretty fun.

Well designed for the format. Challenging, but easy to use and can be played in increments. So far played about 10 hours. High replayability. Update: 4yrs on still my favourite mobile game.
Absolute rubbish
This is one of the most compelling games I've ever played - PC, console, board, or otherwise. While it could use more thorough documentation, it is relatively easy to learn, and the developer is good at responding to questions. The game is much deeper than it appears at first, so make sure you give it a fair shake before writing it off. I'm a WWII gamer, but I'm more into tactical gaming. I never thought I would enjoy gaming at this scale, but D-Day 1944 is a quality design. This is my first Conflicts Series game, but it won't be my last.
Game is ok, but played once and got bored. Too expensive for what you get.
Excellent game allies always win but how quickly
Just a few turns in. Read updates.Brought D Day on 6-6-15.... generous reinforcement at least early on. Balance seems fairly even. Small scale a bit convulated tho.

I like most of Joni's games and own 7 of them so far. This one, however, is not very well balanced in my opinion. Way too difficult on normal. Thank God Hitler didn't have the troops that the AI has in this game. Most of Joni's games are fairly competitive, with Kursk being the best in my view. This one isn't even close in its current version. UPDATED REVIEW. After the changes I think it plays much better. Definitely more balanced.
The latest update has given the German forces way too many advantages. On Normal play, the Allied player gets pummeled. What changed in the last update? It seems like every German attack succeeds even when conducting river crossings. The SS divisions are nearly invulnerable. Return the AI to previous settings please!
The old school way to play on the phone. Works great, love playing them.
Miss the blue/red color sceme, it was easier for color blind users

Maybe I misunderstand the gameplay mechanics, but one thing I've consistently noticed is that enemy units that are defeated will sometimes fallback or withdraw to the rear of my own unit. It feels really gamey, chasing down units that have 1 or 2 HP left. Whereas, they should be fallback to their rear lines. And the game is very ugly.
Great turn based strategy game. Reminds me of RISK. Worth downloading for sure.
Proper old school turn based strategy game like I grew up with. Brilliant.
Beautifully balanced engine.
I put the game in easy mode, expecting to come across unicorns and kittens. Nope. Just a wall of enemies bearing down on my army. Developer has no sense of 'easy' mode. Well, I guess it IS easy if you're already an experienced player.
Took me four beautiful long evenings to complete. During that time my dog never got walked my daughter had little contact with her father my partner threatened to leave me and my work was severely affected by my addiction to this game at 2am. Now its time for operation barbarossa, and perhaps the single life. How about artillery from sea and land? Ability to drop paras a little beyond enemy lines? Perhaps attaching them to an airbase? Not criticising just ideas. Love it all. Amazing game.
WHERE IS FALL OF NORMANDY????? I grew up playing those great Avalon Hill board games, esp Squad Leader, et al. This is that platform for droid. Classic. How bout naval game next?;)
Panzer missions goes on forever and it's basically the same game. This version sure has a few extras but it's a single map. Not good value
Great game go back to it time and again.
Great game.
It's difficult but its sooooooooooooo fun and so worth the money, if you like this game you might like another wwii game like this called Operation Barbarossa
Good game. Two major annoyances. First units forced to retreat but unable to do so should be eliminated. Second you need to be able to take back moves (the number of mistaken moves I make not realizing a unit is active is a pain) not including attacks or moves in which you identify or discover enemy units or mines. Would love to see Joni take on Gettysburg.
Wish Joni would port these over to the kindle fire, I would buy them all, my samsun's screen is just to small.
Loved it another great battle to mentally chew on!
Lots of fun for us old SSI fans and WW 2 buffs. Buy it.
Only criticism is sometime hard to judge where River is or to double move a unit by accident. Still if you concentrate that won't happen.

Some improvements made have made this a better game than when I first bought it. Now that Joni has included an overall Hall-of-Fame, I can measure myself against the best in the world.
