Splice for Android
The designers' work is outstanding, only to be surpassed by the excellent ambient soundtracks that follow each level. The increasing puzzle difficulty reaches a level that proper mindsqueeze is necessary.
I got the chance to demo this game at PAX this last year and was instantly taken with this intriguing puzzler. I told the dev that I chatted with that if it ever came out for Android that I'd buy it. Well, it has arrived, and I kept my promise. Keep up the great work!
Was very excited to try this game out but I can't really do anything with the graphics. I have a galaxy s2 but I get a flickering that makes it impossible to play.
Very good puzzle game. It's a pity that it only lasted for 2 hours. I would not buy it on its original price, since it does not have enough levels.
The first 3/4 of the game feels like practice for the really challenging stuff. Great concept, i'm a big fan of the game's mechanics. Would like to see more of the more difficult puzzles is all...
Splice is amazing. It's immersive and the puzzles presented are intriguing. I've played on and off for six hours today and I haven't gotten sick of or frustrated by it!
Bad on mobile. Don't buy unless you have a tablet. Can't see what you're doing because your finger is in the way.
Top graphics, really smooth, and brilliant music to match every level! I love everything about this game. I wish I had found it sooner. Worth every freaking penny I spent on this. You're in for a real treat people. Get this now!
Had to uninstall due to crashing and freezing on loading screen. Couldn't even try the game. :(
Got to say its awesome and does not get old. Gets boring for a minute then you stop playing and few hours later your back at it again furiously playing
An amazingly addicting game. After assembling the first few strands it makes sense. After that you won't be able to put it down.
So puzzling, yet so satisfying when you complete each level
This is strictly from my point of view... something about this game struck a cord with me and I was/am immediately hooked. It's simplistic and doesn't force you to play at a specific pace; pick it up, play whenever, and take your time- relaxing. This idea of there being no tutorial is false-the first couple strands in each sequence are like a tutorial. Plus, if you click the "?" button in the top left of the screen, it tells you what is going on and how to play.
I would have wished that the developer had made some more difficult levels. Other than that it runs perfectly on Galaxy Nexus and is very addictive
Recommend as a "top app on Andriod". I don't think so. Laborious
A very clever game that starts nice and simple but works its way towards being very tricky. It requires trial and experimentation which are an integral part of the game.
Splice is one of those puzzle games that give you a rush every time you solve one of it's challenging stages. Accompanying it's intuitive and immersive gameplay, Splice has gorgeous graphics and an intensely captivating musical score. These element make Splice one of the best puzzle games available on any platform.
Playing this on an 18inch touchscreen. BRILLIANT!! Hope it gets a bit more difficult later on and theres many more levels to come!
Used to work on my S3 but it stopped and hasn't worked since. When it's fixed I'll GLADLY give it 5 stars.
The puzzles in this games are pretty challenging but not impossible to figure out. This game looks graphically amazing and the soundtrack gives it a calm and soothing setting. Although it can seem lackluster in terms of additional features. It's a solid addition to any puzzle enthusiastic.
Finished the first 7 sequences. Nice to know there's 3 more after the game is 'over'. (Sorry for spoilers). However it's sad that the game has never been updated past version 1.0. This game is by far one of the most fun I've ever played. Whilst being quite a challenge, after a few levels you do start to 'see' how things should go and that the game is all about planning ahead and basically working backwards. 70 levels is great but I can't give it 5 stars for being abandoned after just being released. A-
The design of this game is so thoughtful and stands apart from most games available on android. Both the graphics and soundtrack are beautiful, and the gameplay is unique. Still my favorite game on android, and the most polished one I've seen thus far.
Confusing but fun ?
At least, I'm not at the intellectual level of Hamish Fox, so I find this game challenging and stimulating. My eyes aren't as good as Fox's either, so I think the graphics are good. I couldn't see any need for a menu button either, but I was able to find the tutorial, so maybe my eyes aren't that bad.
Game mechanics are not obvious at first, some introductory text would be very welcome. Once you get a grasp on how to splice cells, the puzzles become fairly straightforward, and given how there are not that many types of strands you can assemble, also a little repetitive. Prior to purchasing, I half-expected the strands to be engaged into some kind of battle for survival, but this game lacks that element.
Used to work on my S3 but it stopped and hasn't worked since. When it's fixed I'll GLADLY give it 5 stars.
I've tried to work out the point of this game but just can't. The mechanics make no sense to me. I've tried reading the very limited instructions and then experimenting to try and get the objects to react predictably but it just seems random. Obviously other people are having luck with it but not me. The timeline rewind doesn't make sense; the splicing appears to just be a matter of random click-drag trial-and-error as to whether anything will happen and/or what will happen. Disappointing.
This game is a very unique and challenging, and despite what some say it actually follows some very simple mechanics. One of the best puzzle games I have ever played.
This game is an absolute masterpiece, a true work of gaming art. The graphics are absolute eye candy, the music is soothing and very well written, and the gameplay is challenging, especially once you get to the epilogue levels. The game also runs seamlessly on my Nexus 7. This is easily one of my favorite games for Android, and will always have a place on my tablet.
It took me forever to figure out how the game worked (the tutorial/instructions were kind of vague) but once I got the basic understanding it was all good. This is a wonderful puzzle game! Very charming & unique.
The simplicity of this game is what makes it so intriguing. Such a simple concept once you get the hang of it and yet gets more and more difficult the more you play. So far it is worth every penny.
Needs to think before making moves. Simple and yet requires complex thinking to solve. Thanks for the move to SD lol that took months
This game keeps my brain stimulated! Im addicted!!
Anyone looking for a beautifully presented, elegant and challenging puzzler, look no further. This game is everything you could want and more; from the visuals to the music to the gameplay, it's a completely immersive experience. The only the I would have liked to see is a way to track puzzles I solve with angelic solutions, but that's an extreeeemely minor gripe. Buy it now.
Confusing but fun ?
Love this well designed puzzle game. Movement is fluid, looks great. Runs as well on my Tegra 3 powered tablet as on my Note II.
If you love a game that offers unique challenges and infuriating puzzles, then there is little doubt that you'll enjoy Splice. Very intellectually stimulating gameplay.
Trust the reviews. Unique puzzle solver, kind of makes you feel like a mad scientist, lol. (Was just playing Ndemics Plague Inc.) Puzzles progress in a way that explains the game as you go. Will be telling friends about this one. Hanging on to that fifth star until I'm done. ;) Will try your other games too. Nice job developers. Very well done indeed. :) ATTN GALAXY NOTE USERS; Spen may not work, but an aftermarket cap stylus works fine. :)
... but please add 'cloud save' for users with multiple devices.

Pros:A minimalist user interface, easy learning curve, beautiful design and a great atmosphere. Cons: The tutorial isn't that clear, the help is not completely clear either, on a 4.5" phone the user interface texts are to small, the graphics are a little bit on the slow side on a1ghz Qualcomm single core cpu w/ Adreno 205 (maybe a setting to adjust texture size and texture filtering, bilinear/trilinear and an option to disable completely the music/sound options?). Conclusion: Great game, needs tweaking.
