Choice of the Pirate

I would rather have ads every minute the have to pay the fee too continue the storie. 1 I'd finish it way too fast. 2 if i where buy it and all the others that i tryed too play id be dawned a fiew hundred $. Thx for the very good storie, even tho i will not countinue it.

It progresses too fast but not a stars worth, it leaves me wishing for more but happy to explore other paths. Choices only matter to a point but it does a good job of making you feel like they do the first time around. Still, 10/10 can't believe it's the same people behind Choice of the Vampire.

this game was SO. WORTH. every cent i payed for. i did fairly well my first play through, but i feel like i messed up towards the end, which is fine. i have every intention of playing this game multiple times. i havnt been so absorbed in a text based game in a very, very long time.

I really felt the impact of my decisions, and I love how I was able to know how my actions affected my relationships with other characters (happy ending with my partner Caesar, but lonely parting with Joaquin). I'd pay for quality stories like this again.

I just picked up broadside yesterday and loved it. So when I saw this I instantly picked it up and played to the point that it asked me to pay, because I was already hooked I paid for it. I have zero regrets and found a new genre I didn't think I could love, 5 stars.

I've played it four times over and always get the same ending no matter how different the choices I make. Are there different endings besides the two obvious ones (undead, or dead version)

Amazing! I was brought in and loved the story. Just as it starts to become my characters time to shine.... time to pay and I never do that, but this time I did and am pleased to say it was worth it.

But Every time I try to Challenge The Pirate King I fail... How do you beat him? Otherthan that it was good.

Very interesting game , we have seen similar things in popular movies like pirates of the caribbean , ghost ships , huge teeth filled tentacle monstrosities, romance , treasure hunting and sea fights so if you appreciate any of those things then you will love this adventure where your decisions also matter.

It's okay, I really got sucked in by the story enough to pay for the full version only for it to end really suddenly. I'm rather disappointed to be honest.

I really loved this COG. Only thing that bothered me was the debt I owed to I think her name was La Playa? I paid it in full. Then later on, El Sabio said he erased my debt for a mission I completed. Which made La Playa mad. Then again the next time I came into port I had to pay her again in full. Even though Sabio previously erased my non-existent debt that I myself had taken care of already. Like the game kept forgetting I paid the debt. Don't know if it's a bug and is fixable. But I'd like to see it worked out for future playthroughs. Other than that, even though its short. Man did I get lost in the storytelling loved every minute. I just want choices and good storytelling like this game. Not options to wait a day for 3 hundred days. Or points for stat building. Like other COG games do to make it seem longer. It just makes it tedious and takes you out of the experience in my opinion.

Makes you feel like a real pirate, in a really well made scenario, i just wished it lasted longer.

wish the different relationship options gave you more room for interactions, but great story with lots of replay value.

The end just didn't do justice to all the choices I had made up until then. It felt detached and not at all unique. I did play through again, and even with completely different choices, the epilogue still left me hanging. (Also much too short for its price) Something that would really set the game apart from other text-based rpgs is the ability to really use your stats to your advantage. Like spending money to improve your fleets, or doing more specific tasks to hone your skills.Overall, an ok game.

I absolutely loved it, definitely in my top 5 CoG games (all five tied for first place btw). I was hoping for an open end so as to continue pirating in a sequel, but the game in and of itself is a masterpiece.
