Pendragon Rising for Android
I love it! I thought it was great! It had me thinking, it really did! I just wished I could have gotten with Marc! ???? Emrys, was actually a considerate candidate. Though because of relations, sadly it couldn't be. I wouldn't mind Cai, either. They don't have an actual relation to each other. PLEASE add an option to date other characters! I loved Marc's character please bring him back or add more dialogue and scenes for him! ❤❤❤ Also, I beg of you, write a sequel to this story. It is amazing, really!
If you had made the whole story free of charge. You'd make more money from ads, because these could give the big names like Mobile Strike a run for their money
Being based on Arthurian mythology, steeped in the atmosphere of medieval England with an encroaching hoard, this CoG had all the ingredients for a fine dish of a game. Until the chef sneezed in the plot and blew away half the plate. This CoG is stunted, shallow and has infuriating hints at greater depths that never surface. The game has no conclusion and hobbles across the minimum line required to charge money on the play store. The competent writing is squandered on a title that feels limp and gutted.
Was in the app for not even a minute. I refuse to play a game that I need to pay for halfway through. I hate to be so destructive and I'm sorry. I'm sure your story was great and worth the price but couldn't you get money through ads? Couldn't you have an ad pop up after every page because I would rather have that than needing to pay a ridiculous price partway into the book. Again, I'm sorry and I'm sure you deserve the money but I personally believe you should get it through other means.
Story leans heavily on Arthurian legend which can be had at Half Price Books for a few dollars. If this story had to stand on its own, it would fail miserably. It has plenty of past legend, books, and movies to lean on though as it spins around the legend offering a scant amount of choices. Not the best storytelling by Choice of Games.
The choices feel like they all lead to the same conclusion. There's no way to know what the game wants from you at any given time. Very frustrating and not worth your time or money when there are better games of this genre
It's pretty frustrating to see people complaining about having to pay, saying that they could get the money by inserting ads after every page or something. You guys have no concept of what it means not just to develop an app, but to actually write an entire novella, do you? Not to mention, do you understand what it means to have an ad play after EVERY page? It would take like 3x as much time to read the story, and that would be the case for EVERY read through. I'd rather pay the $4, which keeps the company running and pays the authors what they're due for their time and hard work. If you want something free, go read WattPad or something.
Well I think it's a great game but there's to much dialogue I do like that it helps the story but it's just that it gets old fast
I like these reading games...especially when you develop your character in the history....but then BOOM!! You have to pay to continue playing....good bye my good reading
great, except the $3.99 cost. I'll pay for it, though, because it's well-worth it. I love these games and the developer
Disappointed that they put a price on the book. Would watch more ads to just continue.
The amount of stats reducing system is ridiculous, there's a lot of choice that will reduce one of your skills and favor another ,by only giving my soldier speech my warrior stats reduced from 80 to 50 Now I understand why this "game" have a bad rating not because of the writing (which is most COG's case with bad rating) but only because of the stats problem that can easily be "fixed" or balanced and yet you stand idly
Over all from what i was able to read it was great I've in the past downloaded games from you and they're always great but the fact that you must pay for a whole story is pointless and if you're going to make us end up either buying the full storry or uninstall isn't really fair you can still make money from adds also you could try something like passes every hr or so something like that would be great
Didn't read once I knew you had to pay. Please put this info in the description
Is there a sequence to this game , or are you planning to make one.
._. Wait till my first 9 paychecks then ill give u a solid review
Left me wanting more
Will there be a 2nd part of this game
Pay to play scum
A lot of meaningful choices, and the writing is exceptional, strongly recommended.
Makes u pay
want. to. read it. over. and. over
I really enjoy this story it had a very natural kinda flow to it. It never really felt like a moment was forced except right after morgan left and you started a romance with her the conversation between Morgan and her mother just didn't feel natural to the story as the story flowed was such a nice rhythm to it especially with the feelings arthur and morgan had for each other this conversation didn't really flow with the story it completely throws off a part of the story
Compelling story that was hard to put down. Pace got a bit fast toward the end and the epilogue was really brief. It was fun to follow some of the familiar paths in King Arthur lore while deviating in others. Really hoping for a sequel, especially to see what happens next for this version of Morgan. Obviously would be a more commonly told part of the legend, but none the less interesting in the Choice format.
The story was very good and beautifully written, but it was very short and not worth the $3.99. The choices were pretty obvious which direction they would take. It had a relatively abrupt ending. I finished my first play through in 30 minutes. If you have the money I would recommend it. But if you really want to find something worth multiple playthroughs and an in depth story line, pendragon rising is not it.
As I have read, in other reviews, it lacks in a good epilogue. I felt for the build up, the end just didn't satisfy. There are also multiple pages of storyline before your next choice, making it feel as of the reader isn't really the one choosing the story.
This game is epic and I've replayed it a good 5 times now. I'm wondering if there's a way to get dyfrid as an ally as I was able to only save him and four of his men. More importantly how to keep Morgan with you til the end? Definitely recommend
The writing in this game was excellent like so many others put by Choice of Games, LLC. At first I wasn't sure how the gender swapping of such well known myth would work out, but it was handled very well. The ending did feel a bit rushed, but everything else was so well done it didn't detract from the story for me. If anything it seemed like they were not giving a huge epilogue because they might be leaving things open for a sequel. Couldn't have asked for a better take on Arthurian Legend.
The ending was pretty short but it leaves you waiting almost certainly for a second book. It may not have been mentioned but it definitely isnt finished yet
I actually was enjoying this and then got the "Remember earlier when we said it was free, well now you have to buy it to continue" message. I really don't like it when that is done, just be honest from the beginning.
As soon as you open it you are asked to buy at 3.99. There are 2 apps, one free and one costs. But really they both cost. Google isn't playing attention properly!!!
The storytelling was good, but the choices seem vague in what they do at times and the stats are so dynamic it's hard to maintain a personality you want to take which kills the immersion. It seemed at times no matter what you did you were bound to fail.
I went once through as a woman, Arta. The story is beautifully told with places to make decisions that will affect the outcome. I give nothing away, simply say that I thoroughly enjoyed being a warrior in the company of women warriors, answering the questions in character. I'm going on to round 2, to see how much difference it makes to be another character. Well worth the minimal price, likely to have plenty of replay! A few weeks later: yep, still fun ;) !
I very much liked the story line. It definitely needs a sequel or continuation of the story though for the price. Also if you make the "wrong" choice it ends too abruptly.
The stats felt useless and some of the changes made no sense, like I gave a speech and my warrior skill dropped from 80 to 50. Story was interesting thou.
I enjoyed this story immensely, but I have to agree that the epilogue was a little lacking in length for me. Also I wish we could have find out what happens with our love interest in the end.
As soon as I started, I could not put this down. There are so many branching paths and it feels like every choice you make will affect the story. The characters were very well written and I found myself attached to many of them, especially Gawain. The romance subplot was also well implemented. I enjoyed going through this journey as Arthur and have played twice so far. I am looking forward to going through it again sometime.
I've been through this one three times since downloading it several days ago and thoroughly enjoyed the story. App worked without any problems. Would love to see a part two though - it came to a close way too soon!
Seriously it's bullshit, I am sure it's most likely a good story but since I can't even read it I'll assume that it is not and rate it accordingly.

Finished it, and kinda liked it. Except the end where there is this A Beginning in Bold letter. I just hate cliffhangers, there should be a second book but since this is somewhat tied in the legend of Arthur I guess it is but a suggestion, and only that. But I liked it though which is why it has 5 stars. But I kinda feel that in certain chances I was not given any choice, and there are also some that I notice doesn't do much aside from the change happening in the next chapter, but as for the rest what is bound to happen will happen.
