A Midsummer Night's Choice for Android
This has to be my favorite from Choice of Games so far! While it's a little pricier than I would have liked, it's well worth the money. The story is engaging and well told, the characters are likeable, and there's more than enough routes to give it good replay value. I have to admit, the stats confused me a little on this one, but overall I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
I've recently discovered the Choice Of games, and they just keep getting better and better. This one was simply fantastic - had me hooked from beginning to end and I just couldn't put it down. The characters were wonderfully written, and the author clearly knows his Shakespeare. I was genuinely laughing out loud in parts. My play was a total mess!!
This game is great! You can replay it over and over, but never get bored! It has a wonderful plot and good characters. It really makes you think, while still being fun.
I loved how each time I played I could imagine a completely different character. The story doesn't force you into one category and gives you lots of interesting choices.
It was okay not worth the $6 tho and I got confused alot but other than that it was okay
My new favorite CoG. I wish it were longer however. I love Shakespeare, so this was a real interesting take on the original. Loved the humor. I hope there is more like it in the future.
If there was a chance to rate only one game a 6 star this would be the one!!
I love it but I don't like the fact that I have to pay for the next chapter
I would love to play it but none of this type of game is worth six dollars.
Simply adorable^^
Only the first 2 chapters are free, you have to pay $7.99 for the rest of it, but overall the story is really good
It was really cute! I loved all the references to Shakespeare and things!
I love this game. The writing tickles the English major that I used to be, the choices you make feel like they lead organically to the conclusion, and the addition of a dark mode makes me incredibly happy since I find myself playing these games before bed more often than not. I might wish that there was a scene where you get scolded for trying to pursue romances with everyone instead of being decisive, but ah well. That might be overgilding the lily.
You'll find so many great Shakespeare references all in one story. I never get bored with this one.
It did not say in the description that you have to pay after the second chapter
But then after reading all these reviews, I'm not sure if I should purchase the continuation of the story..? Well so far the story has been going well I can see that it is well edited and actually is very intriguing to read. Yet I don't see the reason of paying that much for this work, I had only seen a tiny portion of this story. I'm giving this four stars for the laughs, the first part of the story was really interesting and I would like to see more of these types of stories. Very new and refreshing.
The story just wasn't enough. The romances feel forced, there's not enough attention on them, and the plot and ending overall leave something to be desired. It feels like the story meant nothing, despite it changing the player characters entire life. I'm giving two stars because I enjoyed the best friend character (though not enough to remember their name)
I love it, but I can't go to the next episode without paying. Most choice games allow you to continue playing, but with a lower version than those who pay. Its well-written and great, but that is my only problem. I hope that gets changed soon so I can continue my decisions.
It was very nice. I was looking forward to play this and had fun doing so. But everything felt too rushed. The plot was interesting. I loved the struggle my character had with their father, but, having tried every possible outcome, the Morgan romance made no sense to me. In the end, many things are left ignored as well. But i did enjoy the game in the end.
A good game and nice story. However, it is like the original Shakespear's work, whimsical. Your first 3 stats are the importance ones, the last 3 are just measurements. One more thing, if you are not used to Shakespeare way of writing, you will feel off when playing it.
The story was one I very much liked. It had just the right amount of humor, tragedy, and all-around emotional parts at every corner. I loved the story so much and how well it was written. Hope to read more of the writer's work someday!
It was fun. I laughed a little. But everything is really confusing as far as the plot goes and it's really rushed. It has potential, mind you, but it's still definitely lacking
Too predictable, almost boring for a Shakespeare imitation. No character development. Rushed, abrupt plotline. Choices of little importance. And the romance is just... °~° I liked Prenzie though.
This is my favorite choice game I've played in quite a while. Has a playful spirit throughout, with good romance and ending options. I'm certain I missed more Shakespeare references than I picked up, but I think familiarity with the Bard is not strictly required.
Really good i paid for it but i need to erase the app and maybe some other time download it again... but i dont want my money to be wasted is there and id to identify my account?
I found myself laughing really hard more than once! Really wishing I could seriously romance the other me, though (lol)
I'm not even done with the story but so far I can't put it down! Its so fun to read, you never know what's gonna happen next! I'm loving it!
The story line is so interesting and full of surprises. I was completely immersed into a new world and I couldn't restrain myself from tapping the 'Next' button when reading it. If you fond of reading fantasy novel and wish to be the main character, I recommend you to read it. Good luck in your adventure to a new world!
"A Midsummer Night's Dream," is a fantastic and whimsical adventure from start to finish. The story and plot are well executed. I was hooked from the first chapter. This story is definatley worth the $3.99. I hope that Kreg Segall continues to write, I would gladly buy another of his tales.
The characters, the options, the plot---it simply draws you in. The comedic bits had me laughing in hysterics! :D First app I ever purchased, and I don't regret it. Stayed up till 3AM because I couldn't stop reading it! I didn't want it to end, but that's the beauty of starting over and trying out the other options! :D I love this game and would recommend it to everyone. (: Cheers! x
Oh god, I absolutely loved this story. It was totally not what I expected at all. I loved the humour, it definitely made me laugh a lot and reminded of the Monty Python based humour. It's more comedic than romantic, so I do wish there was a bit more romance involved but nonetheless, perfect and great writing! I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for this Writer. I've never been interested in Shakespeare, mainly because of the way it's been written but reading this, I do kind of want to give them a try.
I actually laughed once. Very fun to read, less fun to play since there are lots of character attributes but it's not always clear which gives you what so you can't be a consistently funny or smart character. YMMV
Sorry guys but I can only give this 2 stars. The story is so quick it is confusing and I didn't feel engrossed or drawn in at all. I didn't really see any large consequences for choices and when I compare this to other choice games it is sorely lacking. Don't get me wrong, it is not the worst, but it isn't far off. I would recommend giving this one a miss.
The writing is quite good and very funny, but there was very little branching from the main plot. It feels like being caught in a river current and your choices only influence whether you get hit by a rock or a log on your way down. It's an amazing read the first time, but subsequent replays don't feel like an adventure anymore.
Omg! It's too much of a sorry shame that you have to pay to continue your adventure, but I loved it immensely, omg! I am in love with it, it's definitely better than I thought it would be. I'm certainly recommending it! XD
I found myself laughing really hard more than once! Really wishing I could seriously romance the other me, though (lol)
Definitely love it! It's so hilarious and the twists just refreshing. The choices are great and don't limit us to a certain characteristic. I really enjoyed the flow of the story. Love the bear's part, btw.
Really fun adventure with lots of laughs and even when in serious parts of the story, it manages to keep a great tone.Choices feel great and don't force you to play one way the whole time. Looking forward to more great stories from this writer!
I have read many text based game books like this but this is by far my 3rd favorite (tin star being the first and samurai of hyuga comes second) of them all, i love all the characters and the humor is absolutely adorable!

I loved the story in this. The characters were all pretty interesting and fun and it was a clever, engaging premise. The writer obviously knows his stuff and is very passionate about this subject, and it was nice to see that show through in the game. My major complaint is that the stats often didn't make much sense. It was often very confusing trying to figure out which choice correlated to which stat, usually in a way that was more frustrating than challenging. Other than that, great game.
