Once I installed the update I lost all my currency and it reset me back to chapter two despite having been towards the end of it... Considering the money I had owned was used for important needs and I no longer have it, not sure I want to continue playing anymore. >>>>>Nevermind. I just restarted and picked all the same choices. Annoying but I hope another such update doesn't do the same when I'm almost done.

All that work for an epilogue just over 3 paragraphs long? If I thought you cared about your customers I'd try asking for a refund, what a waste :(

Why you asking about the graphics when the game is text based? ???????? Absolutely great anyway, compelling story and choices, by far the best game of its kind for me. I haven't yet finished but I'm sure I'll replay this until I know it back to back!

The ending was a bit unsatisfactory (rushed and it felt like my choices didn't really have an impact on other characters), but all in all it was a great game!

It's really good for passing time. I personally enjoyed the characters a lot, and also the realism that this story has. My only problem is that, english being my second language I didn't really understand every description on detail, and there were a few choices that I really didn't understood what I was doing, but that is really MY PROBLEM. Only one suggestion though, please do consider to create some more activities as to when the player is in a town, because it feels a bit rushed sometimes when you have to leave some place just after having played a concert when you've only arrived! Anyway, thank you for the experience.

Full ver. review: + Well-witten, visual prose + Thoughtful world-building + Plenty of world-fitting choices to shape your character + I'm staggered by the amount of branches possible really - The ending feels rushed. It's really more about the journey than the end. Basically, if you play the free parts and like the theme and the way the story is told, buy it.

The story was decent but it wasn't all that memorable...

I really like the subject matter in this story. I prefer this to wizards and vampires.

Beautifully written, however lacks a multi-save system, which is a shame as more options couldn't be explored.

I really liked it, it had an 18th century feel and I really enjoyed the story so far.

I've loved Choice of Games since I played Samurai of Hyuga. I got really hyped for this one too, because it seemed just as solid. The beginning was good, and the detail was brilliant. Though sometimes it gets overwhelming. You have a lot of details to take in on such great empires and nations. I absolutely love the thought put into them individually, as well as the concept of Genius. Just wish we spend more time on the cities than the road.

It was pretty nice, but what's available for free doesn't really give you (Or me) the incentive to purchase the rest of the chapters. Maybe another day I'll come back to it.

As a player, didn't feel like I had much of a choice throughout, conversations with other characters felt like they barely happened and didn't matter. The only really fleshed out things were the cities but since you couldn't interact with anyone in them for very long, I couldn't care. Annoyed that I paid money for it, but I guess that was my fault for thinking the rest of it wouldn't be like the beginning.

Why do i always , without fail, end up pro bonaventure? why am i always polite? every single playthrough i end up the same? why are there other options if i end up in the same position everytime

I am an avid fan of the make-your-own-adventure type games, having played many of the Choice Game titles and others by a multitude of companies. Yet, as a musician, I was able to relate to this one so much more, and the multitude of choices really allows for a unique experience with a coherent and enthralling story line. Everything comes full circle in the end, and I have to say it truly makes for a strong and endearing story when you get everything you wanted, yet still end hollow and wanting more.

Giving 2 chapters doesnt really give people the immersion to buy the full game im not impress with the start of the story and wont risk my money for a game that i dont know is good or not

Would probably help if the storey lined up with my thoughts. Just couldn't stay with it

I thought you can romance almost everyone. I mean you toy with my feeling. You put unnecessary info about a character that make me want to romance them but in the end there only 2 love interest. I ll really like to romance Aki(eventhough no plot relevant). Plus the story is lead to same thing. Nothing will change along the way. Everything just change in the end. Well I do enjoy it so thats why 3 star

I love this game, played it twice already and just love the characters. The setting is superb and the array of choices outstanding.

All choices of games had a lot great writers.only if u willing to explore ur own imagination when reading.thank you

This story was well-written with an intriguing backstory and lore. My biggest complaint is the lack of extra lore and information that could have been provided for the reader. That complaint aside, I believe this story was great and whole-heartedly recommend it.

I can't buy the whole story but let me tell you, the first two chapters will blow your mind! Although I think $3.99 is too expensive for just a story, but great job on putting the story together!
