Similar in playing style to the popular iPhone game, Chess With Friends, Genesis Chess for Android is a convenient way to play chess both locally and online with a growing number of people from around the world. Play both classic chess and our very own Genesis Chess variant -- which is the main emphasis of this app!
The Genesis Chess variant is a dynamic and fast-paced game where the board starts out empty. Players then proceed to create the environment in which the match takes place by placing new pieces down or moving existing pieces.

I used this app for months on my old phone. It was a cheap phone, making memory quite scarce, so I went with the smallest chess app I could find. But I ended up loving it because of its straight-forward approach and configurable settings. I never played in 'genesis' mode much, but that's ok because normal mode worked fine. Thanks for developing this! About to put it on my new phone :-)

I like that I can play my friends across the internet using this app very easily. I also like that it shows which pieces have been captured, which it used to not do. However, since you fixed my one gripe, I gotta give you 5 stars, good job! :D

Good app. intuitive. easy to see the board - at least on my large screen. I play regular chess only which works well. i would like cross platform compatibility with iPhone. Would also like to invite people to play via email as well as by username. Option to change the update duration would be good too.
