The single player mode gives you the knowledge to be able to play against other players. The first map works you through to show you how the cards work and what the ships can do so that you'll have some tools in your belt when you start playing other people. Strategy comes into play in the later levels of this map, so if it seems easy, it'll get harder, hang tight. Love the undo button for when you make a mistake and throw a bad word out there! Great job, beautiful game. Ps..love the loading text!

This game is, first off, very simple, yet fun. It has a wide variety of strategies to use, and has one simple goal. Learning to play is fairly easy, with a tutorial and single player campaign. Some are complaining that the single player mode has preset cards, and they do. However this is simply brilliant, as it helps teach you creative ways to get out of situations with limited resources, which many people encounter often in multiplayer. These put together make for a brilliantly executed strategy game.

due to the fact that each level uses a predetermined set of cards and lack of levels I am giving 2 stars. to make the game more enjoyable before the start of each level the player should be able to choose what cards he wants to play with. granted in some areas of the game (not much) it uses this technique.
