Why is the board shaped like a cross? If it was a standard square it would be more logical.

You play a little 2048-like game to build an army, then once the board is full, that army takes on monsters and you get points at the end. Unique idea but not much depth to it. Good casual few-minutes or bathroom break sort of game.
