Mors. : The Morse Code Trainer for Android
I don't know if it's my phone (Galaxy S5) or the otterbox on my screen but it doesn't work well for distinguishing between dots and dashes. That pretty much makes it useless to play because I can rarely input the sequence in time because it ends up deciding almost every input after the first as a dash. This is no good for a timed game honestly.
Great way to learn the letters fast. However no way to learn timing or listening. Make sure to increase the difficulty as you go. I got to the setting without the tutor and was suprised how far i could go before i hit an 'L' or a 'Q' lol.
Print out projected WPM, include numbers and punctuation (sentences)? As-is, this app is by far one of the most intuitive ways to practice and increase speed. My recommendations are only things I'd "like" to see, but the app is still amazingly simple and effective.
I like the idea of the game. I would like to see some improvements, or somebody make an improved clone. * The game is too short. I've never gone past 950 points. It would be nice to play longer and use more letters. * Play is too fast. I'm concerned about damaging the screen as it discolors where I touch it. * Needs a clear button that I can press with my other thumb because the swipe is confused with a dash too many times. * The software doesn't differentiate too well between the dots and dashes too well. It thinks my dots are dashes.
Great game, i just wished you could see a table with morse code, maybe add a menu option? Also, maybe have in the no-tutor section have the code for the next letter pop up after you lose, so if you lose you can see what it was that you didn't know and learn for next time. You could also add a listening option, where you key the letters instead, reverse mode.
I thought it would be cool to use this app, learn morse code when I'm bored, but I don't learn much from this, I touch the screen with dots for dots and dashes but it's too fast, I don't even read what I'm saying, because I'm too focused on the dots and dashes, if there was more time or even no time limit it would be way better.
The only problem is that it sometimes goes silent and you have to restart the app to get the beeping again.
Very fun and seemingly effective way to learn CW! I can't help but echo the complaint that you have to hold your finger on the screen too long to trigger a dah. Also, an effective WPM readout would be nice.
Good idea/concept with potential but it is lacking content. Also, does not correctly support RTL Layout
As a pilot I often have to identify stations by morse code. Finally found this app. It helps learning it! Thanks!
Great app! It would be good to have a timeless mode though, where you can spell the worlds without having to think about the timer.
This app is great! Would really love if there was an added mode that didn't have a timer, and just let you spell out whatever you wanted with the dots and dashes!
Everything is great. But it would be really good if you could easily get back to the list with all the codes on them. Also could you add a tally of words to the final scores? I'm trying to race a friend to learn Mors.
Great app. I wish there was an alphabet setting and able to remove the timer just for practice. Still a 5* app
Very challenging on the higher levels and I feel that I'm actually learning
The first time i opened the app i saw a list showing me all letters with corresponding morse codes . now , i no more have access to this page . i hope you add it
I was able to get the hang of morse code in a couple of hours using this app. Trust me, if you use this, then learning morse will be easier than you think :D
Nice idea and design but it doesn't really teach you morse, you just repeat the tutor
Good for practicing Morse if you already know it, but you probably won't learn your letters well from it.
Frustratingly unresponsive but, when it does work, it's a great tool
It is good for learning. Will be nice to hide the morse code to see if you learn.
Excellent work! Now my main training app!
I have been using this app non all day and love it. Been trying to learn Morse code for years and this is the only app I've used that seems to be teaching me the way I need. Also lots of fun
Who would have thought Morse code would be fun. Interesting approach to learning what Morse is all about. Addicting gameplay.
Really good work it's addicting
Found this app from video on YouTube. So far, this been easiest, funnest, and most educational Morse code app I have found. Within seconds of opening the app you are banging away Morse code with a tutor right in front of you. You get feedback right away on your progress. Fun, addicting, and educational. Very easy, intuitive interface.
It's kinda hard to use. I didn't hear sounds or any kind of confirmation that I was actually making the • or -, and it has no help menu or anything. So you need alot of patience to really know how this app works.
swipe has to go, resumption after an incorrect character is ambiguous.

This app does what it's supposed to do, and pretty well too. There's only one problem with it I can see: the dash takes way too long to register as a dash for a speed trainer. But other than that, it's a great app for learning to type in Morse code quickly, and I highly recommend it!
