Joe Dever's Lone Wolf

I was expecting a top down game, but saw this was a story to read with some tactical turn-based battles. It was honestly a different take on the RPG. The story is well written, and your choices ACTUALLY DO make a difference. This requires multiple playthroughs, but that's alright.

Error on my Ace 3( thats why I've just been able to play this game today bcus i have got a new tablet ). Now, Im in love with the story Of The Lone Wolf :')

This game is exactly what I've been looking for. Those great choose your adventure books and make it better. The only problem I've got is it crashes s lot, I just got started and I can't get past the first fight scene. Please fix this issue. Btw I'm using Alcatel products one touch.

This game is pretty fun to pass the time. If there is another game made, I would like to see a variety of different enemies instead of just 4-6 types with different armor on. More powerful items would be great too... It was disappointing when I received the mace made with perfect bronin in Act 4 and found out it was worse than the mace I had been using forever.

All I can say really. Read the books as a kid. This adds a great immersive spin. Must have for anyone really. Great bridge for kids that like video games as well as it would force them to read.

First off I love the story and style. However, the combat is supposed to be turn based. More often then not, when it's my turn the enemies will attack. I even will have a near full turn timer. This is so frustrating I've had to stop playing.

Fantastic job with this uniquely beautiful game book. The only criticisms I have are that the enemies are fairly repetitive, the combat system is slightly confusing (it's not clear enough when and how much burn time different moves will take), Lone Wolf is missing his kai cloak, the story is a little flat, and when you die it should say "Your quest and your life end here." But bravo!

I purchased the season pass on my note 3 over a year ago. I upgraded to a Galaxy Note 5 and went to install the game and reflects like I never purchased this game. Can anyone help me with this issue?! Please help

I give it 5 stars because I used to read these when they first came out. The only negative thing I would say is having to pay for bookmarks. But I guess like everything else it takes money to develop this stuff so I still give it a 5 star rating

Brings me back! The prose is decent. The game is excellent, crashes in ART runtime on my phone though... Had to switch to the old one, works perfectly.

I'm so tired of all these mobile RPGs that seem like really dumbed down pc/console games adapted poorly to touch controls. This game was a pleasant surprise, you can tell that the game was really made from the ground up to be a mobile game and it works so well. Also love the fact that you are really a character in a story with the book being written as you go based upon the actions you take and decisions you make along the way. Only negative is that it uses a lot of batteries even if I'm just reading story.

I love this game. So far it's really addicting. I can see myself getting the next 3 Acts. The story is so descriptive and diverse. The controls are simple yet challenging and its overall a well versed and developed RPG.

Personally, it's hard to find a decent game on a smartphone, but to find a GOOD game? Diamond in the rough, man. As a gamer, this game makes great use of its platform with the combat system and QTEs. It's definitely one of the more unique games I've ever played due to doing reading more than usual, which I've enjoyed. Makes me want to go buy the books. I definitely recommend playing this game, if you're a gamer or if you just appreciate quality stuff, in general. I bought the rest of the acts, do the same.

Read the books, truly enjoy this mix of story and gameplay. Wish it weren't just a demo of the first level, but it's worth the 5.99 for the remainder of the levels. Confused about complete edition, and buying the levels on this one.

I will not say it's perfect, but it is certainly very well crafted. The way it tells the story is very descriptive, one I would expect in a good book, and the fighting, leveling and inventory systems are not only effective but also beautiful to see and interact with. It filled me with inspiration. If you like the good rol games, this could be just what you are looking for.

I loved this game and was going to purchase all the dlc, but when it abruptly ended I became scared that I would pay a lot and it not be long enough. I will not be buying the dlc because it seems that it will be really short

A nice descendent if the Lone Wolf book series, but a novel game (not just a transcription of the original series). Expensive but very high production value.

This game is amazing, you have character creation by choice of skills and so far in the first book it has been relatively linear but it narrates and rewards you based on your choices. Great visuals during combat and good customization. First act is free on android. Play it now if you love interactive books mixed well with RPG action combat.

My brother told me about this game and I was really skeptical at first. I downloaded part one, and then bought parts 2 3 and 4. The game is really long for an app, and I'm glad I bought the dlc. And if you beat it, you can just choose all the things you didn't pick! This game is a lot like dungeons and dragons. With a perfect mix of storytelling and combat.

The stupid thing is the level up,potions,power/kai is unbeliveble low and when u meditate never fully recharge why because each time u meditated someones will eventually interupted u.the end

Game is GOOOOD love it, however it seems to have viral side effects, it keeps changing my wallpaper background, AND keeps turning the game upside down. Plz fix those 2 issues and I will rate this game a 5. I am a hard judge and have only given 1 other game on here a 5 lol. Once I see those 2 things fixed I WILL buy this game, but I won't work my but off for an hour to buy this until then.

I've never seen anything like it! It's a great hybrid between a make your adventure story book and 3D combat adventure. The only thing is after playing the part of the game, they want you to pay $12 to play the rest, which I can understand because it is a great game, but I'd rather just have ads in the game than pay $12 to play the rest

I was able to enjoy this on a GS3, but it refuses to get past the title page on a Note 4. No other apps running. No excuse. 2 stars until fixed.

I get past the first fight scene and it just bumps me off the game...tried a few times. I love reading and thought this would be a great concept for an RPG game...however I wouldn't know as I haven't had the chance to really enjoy it. :(

This game is A masterpiece on the phone market. I am blown away, thus feels like a console game when it comes to visual effects, and I feel as if I'm reading a wonder. The story is enthralling, the art and visual style is aspiring and I love this, its a must play!

Your ideal book meets your ideal game. Coming from a reader perspective, I have never found myself so immersed in a game that allows me to become in twined with the story through the interactable scenes. Usually when I find myself reading, I always think how amazing it would be to be apart of that specific scene, but with this game that just so happens to be the case. The details to which this story is formed is incredible, and I find myself sucked into the story wanting to know more.

Good game idea and unique but should be more of a game and little less reading pages.lastly, shouldnt have to pay for more chapters!kinda bummed me out way to big of size to!

Latest version crashes when I open the book. 4.4.4 using Android Run Time. Worked fine on earlier versions :-( I loved this app, please fix! Edit: Months later, still no fix. I'm hoping when I upgrade to Lollipop this will fix it. If not, I'll seek a refund. Reading the reviews, I'm not the only one with this bug.

Yeah, for sure this app is incredible, I liked it, but there is just one thing that didn't make me rate it with 5 stars, the Portuguese language, I'm Brazilian and some friends of mine can not play it because there are some languages, but not Portuguese, I invited them to play it and they really liked, but they need my help to play it and I can't invite other friends of mine. I love English, but it would be good to play this app in my native language, so please, do something about that and I will rate 5.

Graphics and game concept are extremely well done. Then you get to the attack methods and execution and it just doesn't seem to fit. Combat felt clumsy, difficult to execute, and easy to make mistakes. Once you are committed, you can't change. I found this aspect of the game a little too tedious as well as limiting in comparison to rest of the game. Also getting tired of seeing the FLOOD of over-monetized games hitting the market with game developers trying to make it rich at gamers expense. Enough already!

Love the fact that the fights are interactive. Played some other lone wolf games and this is one of the best. Can't wait for other games to be released

I am a longtime fan of the Lone Wolf gamebook series, and I must admit that I cringed for years about the rumors of a video game adaptation being developed. I was too nervous to even start up this app for a few months after downloading it. But it's perfect... seamless integration of classic text-driven story, beautiful illustration, and real-time combat that is tough at first but a fun challenge once you get the hang of it. And the music! So lovely on headphones. Do yourself a favor and buy the season pass!

The story & art work are very good. I would rate it 4 or 5 star on that alone. The combat system crashes noticeably less after the update. The qte response is still problematic. The combat is extremely difficult. How does a player succeed when you fall under a barrage of blows without being able to block or strike the multiple opponents? Plan on investing a lot of time (over 8 hours) upgrading a character that can get through act 2. Would be nice if the website had more hints and tips for players.

Excellent game play. Loved the original books. Good combination of book and action. Ability to attempt to dodge attacks would be good.

The text-based system is really retro feeling, while the simple yet challenging combat system is quite fun. Haven't gotten very far into the story, but it's very fun so far.

I've been searching for a very unique game and I finally found it. I love this game! Beautiful story with the perfect balance of reading/characters and action. Beautiful animation too. Love the style, idea and just everything. Would HIGHLY recommend. Also i'm totally happy to pay think ads would just ruin the flow. Ads suit some games but not this one.
