Battleships VS. for Android
This is the best of the many versions of Battleship out there. Just the classic game, doesn't try to add new features or power ups. Like another reviewer, I could actually do with less animation so it's less of a battery drain, but it's not a big deal. My only criticism is that I can't find a way to turn off the sound. I'm often playing somewhere where I don't want to make noise. (Update to add: still have this app, even better since the dev responded to add toggles for sound and animation. I usually play with both turned off just because it's faster without the animation. There are fullscreen ads, three or so during a single game, which is a bit annoying, but they can be skipped after a few seconds, so not that big a deal, and there is an option in the app to pay to remove them. Still a nice simple version of the classic game, no weird gimmicks or powerups or changes!)
Good game.
Not to be rude but I put 2 players but I want it to be like taking turns not over wifi

It may have been described as a game for fifty year olds but I like it. All the other battleship games keep trying to add stuff but the original was pretty much perfect so why bother? I suppose I would prefer slightly less animation in this but that's what kids these days seem to like.
It won't work for the s3. I just get a nlack screen with two white bars on the edges.

This may sound like a strange complaint but I win EVERY TIME! The computer opponent makes ridiculously stupid moves so there is no challenge. It would be nice if there were different levels of difficulty.
