Video Poker Expert for Android
Needs work. If the suits were the correct color and you could turn off the sounds I would rate it higher.
This is a half-baked app, literally. It works just as I would expect if it were still under construction and about 50% done. I’m giving it two and a half stars because it’s the only app I’ve found that even attempts to offer hand correction or training. First the good news: It appears to have perfect play under the hood and alerts the player of any error, showing them the difference in $$ EV between theirs and the best hold. On an error, there is a link to display a list of all 32 hold combinations in descending order with their EV. It has the most common Jacks variants and FPDW. There is "create a hand screen" (but see below) Now the bad news: The graphics are more basic than basic and they don't fit on the screen - on any phone. The only screen that’s polished is the opening menu, further suggesting that the developer abandoned the software halfway through. There are no strategy charts. Although it "saves" errors, it doesn't. What it saves is the hand, not the error. So it displays the correct hold when one looks later. If the player doesn't remember what error they made, too bad. It does re-display the $$ EV list as above, rendering the display of the correct hold superfluous. While it tells the player how much in dollars were lost because of each mistake, it doesn't keep track overall. There is no way to know how much one is losing to mistakes. It has only a basic screen of how much was wagered, won and lost. BFD. The app doesn’t even use that info to display a win or payback percentage to the player. The real value of a training program is to display the percentage of EV lost through error. It allows a player to know what their actual EV is going to be in a casino, since none of us are perfect. Yes, there is a "Create a hand" screen but the selected cards always revert to a preset random hand or the last error hand the player had - probably because the program is using the same code to generate the singe hand EV list to the player at the time. There is no "clear" button and tapped cards won't replace others when all five cards have been selected so one has to manually deselect each and every card each and every time one uses the feature. That's because there is no "close" button, either; the only way back is using the phone's back button so the custom hand is lost every time and reverts to the aforementioned last error hand. Still, until I can find another app that takes VP seriously instead of simply providing mindless entertainment, this will have to do.
Better if the cards look exactly like in the casino....show credits
Used it Before
Dumb dee dumb dumb DUMB!!
A very simple and useful program to help learn mistakes. Full UI does not fit on my LG G2 which isn't a huge problem. The only issue is that I can't use the "draw details" button under" analyze custom hands " since its not shown (I'd assume it's there because when you make a mistake, you CAN see the individual draw details). Still highly recommended.
The suits are all black colored, making it difficult to quickly and correctly identity suits. 7 of hearts, for example: the numero 7 is red, the heart symbol is black. A little confusing for an old brain. Other than that, good app.
Screen does not fit. Can not read credits on bottom of screen and left side. Also most plays seem correct but a couple seem off. One example is it told me to keep a certain hand of one suit but not the same hand of another suit. I need to screenshot this scenario next time but it happens not so often. Also my draw statistics aren't keeping track of four of a kind. I have 5500 plays and no 4 of a kinds. That is wrong.
I loved this app used at casino all the time to analyze hands. Now on my droid turbo screen does not fit and I can not see results. Everything is too big please fix it is not usable ....
On the Galaxy Note 4, you can't see the credits since it's mostly blocked by the playing field. Other, a pretty good VP trainer.
Graphics appear properly on my stock android tablet. On my Samsung phone, they are messed up, but I blame Samsung for Touchwiz UI being crap, not the dev of this app.

Good teaching tool. Great work.
Great learning tool / thanks
Dumb dee dumb dumb DUMB!!
There are issues with this app. Screen doesn't rotate, crashes from time to time for no reason. But it has all the games and payout tables that you need to be a better video poker player. I wish it had a running total for the costs of your mistakes. Could be better, but it is a great Video Poker app.
5 Stars, Only need to be able to see bets and credits at bottom of screen, doesn't show on my cell phone. Cards with standard images would be a real plus, plus, plus and I'd pay to get rid on the the annoying ads.
Used to be five star.
AWESOME app! Nice job. Thanks.
There was too much on the screen. Couldn't see pay tables, couldn't see bank, and the worst part was the heart and diamond cards had black logos. I train in VP for speed and card recognition and this is not a good app for that.
Graphics overlap. Play is ok.
Hearts and diamond cards need colored suit, not just the value. Too easy to miss possible flush draw when card values are low. Otherwise thoroughly enjoy the app assuming that the strategy is correct.
Great game nice bold face cards but you can't see your credits
The game runs fine enough, but the zooming and screen rotations on some windows are all messed up on Galaxy Note 3 . It looks like it just needs a code update, so once those issues are fixed, I will likely give it a much higher rating. If I could request one feature, include an option on the pay table to manually adjust the royal flush payout. I find a lot of machines with progressive jackpots, and I want to be able to see how that value affects the strategy.
Love that it only corrects me when I'm wrong. Gave it only 4 stars due to the fact that on my nexus 7 I can't see the credits. Can't find an option to resize it but maybe I'm missing it.
By far the best VP trainer out there, and I've tried plenty. Simple, easy-to-use interface, most of the important games available (it would be nice to be able to enter a custom pay table, though). Fast hand analysis, completely error-free (surprising that you can't say that about many other VP apps). This will be my go-to trainer.
Almost like Winpoker but FREE! wish u could change bet denominations tho, but not really important.
Could be a good trainer as it has most popular VP games. The payout list is barely visible - most of the pays are missing because the buttons to the right are so big. The list has to scroll to fit on the screen. The denomination, coins in and bankroll are blocked almost entirely due to the cards, which are push to the bottom of the screen due to the big buttons above it. No option to turn off sounds that I can find. Landscape only. Look at some other VP games out there for some layout tips. EVO 4G LTE

Great app. Just needs a way to track user's accuracy. Otherwise, perfect.
Great app for learning to play video poker!
The only quibble I have is the lack of an option to add sounds. Otherwise, this is quite as good as WinPoker 6.
Almost as good as WinPoker AND its FREE!!!!!!!!!
