About Planescape: Torment EE

In Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition you'll explore the planes, survive combat alongside a party of unique companions, and solve puzzles unlike any ever seen in the genre.

The original Planescape: Torment was released in 1999 to widespread critical acclaim. It won RPG of the Year from multiple outlets for its unconventional story, characters, and amazing soundtrack. Since then, millions of Planescape: Torment fans have enjoyed exploring the strange and dangerous city of Sigil and surrounding planes through the Nameless One's eyes.

Discover an incredibly rich story and a unique setting unlike anything else in fantasy. Defeat strange and alien creatures, engage in rich dialogue, and explore the dark and dangerous Planescape setting in this 50+ hour RPG classic.

This is Planescape: Torment like you’ve never seen before.

Story:

"What can change the nature of a man?"

You are the Nameless One, a hulking figure covered in scars and tattoos collected over the course of countless lives—none of which you can remember, but are now coming back to haunt you. You are prodded awake by Morte, a floating skull and keeper of secrets, to embark on an adventure taking The Nameless One from the dirty streets of Sigil into the mysterious Outer Planes and even into the depths of Hell itself.

Portals riddle the planar metropolis of Sigil, providing access to anywhere in existence, but only if you have the proper key. Known as the "City of Doors," Sigil is a neutral ground where demons, devas, and races from across the multiverse gather under the watchful shadow of the Lady of Pain, the city's enigmatic ruler. This is a place where the word is mightier than the sword, where thought defines reality, and belief has the power to reshape worlds.

In your search for answers, you'll find companions matching the bizarre nature of the planes: a chaste succubus who can kill with a kiss, a confused crossbow-wielding cube, a suit of armor animated by a spirit demanding JUSTICE, and more. With these companions and others at The Nameless One’s side, you will explore worlds in search of answers, all to discover that some destinies cannot be escaped and some memories cost more than an even an immortal can bear.

Basically unplayable on a phone due to the resolution.Baldurs gate was manageable on the phone but this is far from it. I hope Beamdog fixes this, not just for me but for everyone else that wants to play on their phones. Will change review to 5 stars if fixed.

After a very odd glitch, where after purchasing the game, Google play still showed the buy button instead of install, which the only way to fix was to re-flash my ROM, I can say I'm over the moon that this runs so beautifully and i love the EE part of this port. Fantastic job as usual BD!

T70%
by T####:

Fantastic port of a genuine calssic. It runs great on the s7 Edge, just having a very hard time finding the save files so i can import my pc saves.

Needs an option to scale the ui for those of us trying to play on phones. Very difficult to hit some buttons.

U70%

Great game and port but the game is slow and the characters and controls lags a lot on my galaxy tab 2

U70%

I never played Plainscape. I really love these infinity engine games I would love to see Siege Of Dragonspire on Android. Thank you for this awesome classic game I can't wait to see what your team does next.

I played a little bit if the original and loved it, this enhanced edition is so much better in every way. I just want to know if I can transfer my save file to the enhanced edition on the PC?

Fantastic! Finally get to play this game again. Thank you Beamdog

The game is how I remeber it. Though I would have liked a better party ai.

U70%
by U####:

Been waiting for this for a long time and very happy to see it pop up out of the blue. The only minor quibble is no way to scale the UI, it's not unplayable by any means but would be nice to have slightly larger buttons. Any chance you could add the "long-press to view items in containers" function to the other EE games? It's a great addition here and sorely needed in the Baldur's Gate series.

by O####:

I'm so happy this exists. The music has already earwormed me again. Also the battery consumption is surprisingly reasonable. Slight downsides: the hitboxes on characters are really hard to hit unless I zoom way in, but I can live with that. Also, there are no cloud saves :-/ Even a single cloud save slot would be awesome; it's entirely possible I won't finish the game before my current tablet dies.

U70%
by U####:

Excellent port of one of the most superb games ever made. Having said that, I've experienced a glitch in which tap icons appear away from their hit areas, making area transitions occasionally difficult to find, and story objects hard to highlight. Thus far, this has only really happened in Sigil and the Alley of Lingering Sighs.

P70%
by P####:

Its unplayble with a samsung galaxy tab 2. Runs super slow. Not optimised for tab so home menu covers bottom half of the game tabs. Bg1 and 2 work fine. Will seek a refund on this game.

U70%
by U####:

The overall game is very good but there are some knit picky bugs. After talking to NPC's I get a massive drop in frames. Also the HUD is very small and is hard to tap. Other than that it is very good.

U70%
by U####:

Good port of a great game. Needs a scalable UI and I'm experiencing some serious lag (and occasional crashes) when I open the map. I'm using a Nexus 5X.

U70%
by U####:

I advise against buying on phones until they address the UI scaling issue as you will frequently mistap dialogue choices and struggle to select small items and buttons on screen. Mayyyy be manageable if you have the galaxy note series or other stylus phone but otherwise, a bad experience that doesn't do the original game justice.

U70%
by U####:

Instant buy for me. I've never played Planescape Torment before, but I feel it's going to be a good experience. With how Beamdog handled Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, I have high expectations for this port. Thanks Beamdog :)

OMG. Could not be happier! Except now I'm obsessed with this game again, I won't leave my room.

O70%

game freezes at the very beginning in the Mortuary. Morte comes, says a few words and before any in-game UI launches, game freezes.

U70%
by U####:

Amazing port of an amazing game. Many have already said this but please, please, please add the ability to scale the UI! Other than that, thank you for taking me back to my childhood!!!

T70%
by T####:

Can't run on galaxy core 2 game freezes at the begining :(

U70%
by U####:

The best RPG ever made with a rich story.

U70%
by U####:

I'm not very far in, but so far everything about this port is fantastic. Plays like a dream, and adds useful modern features without spoiling the original (I really love the journal keyword search!). I do have one minor suggestion - the rotating quicksaves & autosave are great, but the load screen doesn't sort them by date, so it's a bit unintuitive to find the most recent. If there could be an option to sort most recent to the top, it'd be appreciated.

U70%
by U####:

This brings back memories, thank you! Maybe Fallout 1 & 2 can get enhanced editions too... Is there anyway you could integrate cloud save, so we can move between devices (between my phone and my tablet, for example) easily? Thank you!

X70%
by X####:

The game i remember in all its glory. However when using a Bluetooth keyboard, number keys don't select conversation options and the tab highlighting doesn't work. Also seems to crash on the map screen 50% of the time which is mildly frustrating.

R70%
by R####:

I seriously love this game. Thank you everyone from Beamdog for delivering this port! Back when I was a kid I played and replayed this game over and over. Would have gladly paid $20 for this! With this port I hope more people can discover this hidden gem. Update: Unfortunatly I cant play the game at this time. The game sort of freezes after the initial dialogue with Morte. Also at the initial startup the audio stutters. Please fix!

Well, they've done it. They've seamlessly enhanced and ported my all-time favorite game into the palm of my hand. It's Planescape: Torment looking prettier than ever with all the fluid accessibility for the touchscreen you could want. I'm completely satisfied with this and the enhanced PC version in all its old-school isometric CRPG goodness. Keep it up, Beamdog! Can't wait for Baldur's Gate 3 and Icewind Dale 2: EE! Keep making Canadian developers proud!

R70%
by R####:

Great port of a classic here. Only issue I've run into so far is some major slowdown at random times. I have just reached Sigil after waking up. On a Huawei Ascend XT here. An update for this issue would be much appreciated, as it is very annoying. Other than that great job!

U70%
by U####:

This is a great port, but it was DEFINITELY intended for tablets with screen sizes larger than 5.5 inches. I do play it in my Galaxy S7 Edge, but I often have trouble tapping on the tiny buttons.

U70%
by U####:

I would love it, if not for one big issue. The game isn't optimised for my resolution, therefore the navigation bar on my tablet covers the bottom part of the screen, obscuring some of the important buttons as well as HEALTH bars of my characters, which makes the game extremely uncomfortable to play.

K70%
by K####:

Don't try to play on a phone unless you have super tiny fingers and a magnifying glass. It would be really great if Beamdog would make an option for a larger toolbar and buttons for all their games so it is more playable on a phone. Slowdown / stutter on S7 Edge when using map.

U70%
by U####:

The game itself is great and runs well for the most part, but there is one issue. I mainly play on my Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and frequently get slowdown when playing, usually after speaking to an NPC. It will go away if I open and close the menu. So far I have not had this issue when playing on my Galaxy Note 5. It would also really benefit from cloud saves as well.

U70%
by U####:

Just started playing on Google Pixel XL and it runs AMAZING! I am not having the issues that were experienced with Baldur's Gate and that others had with Icewind Dale. This is seriously working like a dream!

Q70%
by Q####:

I am sure my asus memopad is too old for this since it freezes after the nameless one wakes up but it runs great on my pc. Dont try on android 4.0

B70%
by B####:

The original and one of the best D&D games ever! A fantastic port, looks beautiful and runs wonderfully. I'm stoked that this has finally been ported! Grab it now, it's worth every penny.
