愛德華.偉特是19世紀末英國著名的神秘學團體黃金黎明協會的會員。
愛德華.偉特（A.E.Waite）設計的塔羅牌，最初的牌是黑白的，因為受歡迎，後來由史密斯女士（Pamela Colman Smith）上色。
愛德華.偉特—構圖溫馨、簡單易懂、有故事性 ，市面上有許多插畫家會依照其精神重新繪製，
