There should be more free games to play. I didn't like the only free game available to play and I have to buy all the other games. Ten dollars or not I feel like this app is a rip off and only design to make money and not the user amusement. I'm tired of all the apps trying to force you to buy the game or more levels. If there were 9 more games for free and you could really see if you enjoy the app and want to buy all the games or one game. I was a huge fan of Atari games but this app was a fail I would not recommend it for anybody. It's a waste of time unless you don't care about paying for games on an app without really getting to see what it offers.

Caveat Emptor. First, Missile Command is one of my all-time favorite Atari games. Unfortunately, this "free" incarnation appears to be buggy. The control that allows firing a missile at a target by taping a silo then a target, or by dragging from a silo to a target, often fails to actually select the intended silo and sometimes fires a missile from some other silo at a random point instead of at the target point. I guess that old saying about free stuff is true - you get what you pay for. Me sad now :(

Thanks for fixing the game to work with Lollipop. I managed to locate the option for purchasing the entire suite of games, but it wasn't easy to find it. You have to move to a purchase-able game first, the hit the Select button, then you can see the options for purchase, including the package deal. Not very intuitive, I'd have also listed it on the regular BUY screen as an option too. But why nit-pick at this late date? Free advice, no extra charge. :->

I grew up playing Centipede, and can back up my words with reasonable skill. I like this app, very reminiscent of the original game feel. Ability to toggle control placement and sensitivity is nice. However, the additional black space underneath the ship's moving area and the small firing button are irritating. I use the trackball on the left, as the touch pad wasn't effective for me. Bottom line? One can get around the control placement and button size. Worth the ninety nine cents.

Very good retro gaming. Feel just like the arcade versions I spent many quarters at. My only complaint is the screen control. I feel it would be more comfortable to play if the screen played sideways without trying to cram your hands together to play it.

K70%
by K####:

Games cost 99 cents ea or all for 9.99. Bought Centipede. Firing button doesn't fire correcty (lags behind touch) so wasn't much fun dying so often. Bummer. Touch screen option no better--kinda hard to watch action and keep finger exactly on missle at same time. Very dissapointed. Sigh...

I don't know why everyone is complaining so much about the price, its $10 for 100 of Atari's greatest hits! That's only ¢10 per game?? And like I said "Atari's greatest hits"!! If you went to an actual arcade it would cost ¢25 per round in a single game. So..... Ya I don't get what all the whining is about, but maybe that's just me. Love this app though and very affordable in my opinion I also love all the different control schemes you can use for each game and screen orientations!

K70%
by K####:

Remastered but not optimized. No ability to define a custom set of controls. The ones they provide are poor, at best. Can't set controls not even for an Xperia Play, which has it's own built-in gamepad. Not to mention they don't support any kind of external bluetooth controller. Landscape screen orientation works anti-clockwise only. I am very dissapointed. I expected much more than this from ATARI.

K70%
by K####:

Holy cats, complainers. This is a beautiful app complete with colors and sounds that turn back time. There's 1 game with the app, you pay $10 for like 99 more. That's cheap. Pay if you want throwback originals (that's how companies stay in business) don't pay if you don't. But please don't give a bad rating because they ask you to pay for a product that costs them $ to make. Thanks Atari!

This is exactly what I've been looking for! I'll gladly purchase 100 games for "the price of a movie ticket"! Oh and thanks for revising the description, which now states the game that is free, and that others can be purchased separately. That ought to shut all the naysayers up! 5 stars! Brilliant!

I posted a review approximately 6 months ago, concerning posting high scores. App is still deleting after restarting the games, especially on Millipede. Can you resolve this issue developers?! I love to compete with other players. Thanks in advance.

I've bought the full 100-game set, and I think it represents wonderful value for money. The attention to detail that's gone into it, from the choice of control methods to the inclusion of game manuals and the attractive menu systems, make this a very well designed app. I never had a 2600 and can't wait to play through the games included here. And to get the arcade versions of some games as well is brilliant. Well worth buying

M70%

I bought the full set for $9.99 and definitely got my monies worth. Dozens of Atari arcade and console games. I used to go to the arcade and spend 10 bucks of quarters in a couple hours. The only thing is the screen is a little small for some of the games. The game would look a lot better on a tablet.

I'm 47 years old and i remember then Atari first came out and so remember before just about there wasn't no games except just some hand held games so i like thos game. Brings back my child hood is Great app thanks 5 star

I was going through my apps in Google play and found this from several years ago. I had purchased the whole package. Installed, restored my purchases using my Google receipt number and voila! Works great! Still love old school Atari!

K70%
by K####:

Love a classic but the games scream to be graphically updated. Last update 2015? Not asking that you change much but atleast give these games a facelift. Even Atari moved on from these in the 80's. I'd love the simple gameplay but graphic atleasts...

K70%
by K####:

At this time I would not recommend anyone purchasing the full version of this game. On my old phone the game stopped working after the marshmallow update I sent Atari 4 emails and never got a reply back from them. Now I have a new phone and tried to install the full version of this game on it and it's wanting me to pay another 10.00 dollars. Contacted Google Play and was told Atari would need to fix this.

by K####:

This is garbage. It does not work with an external moga controller. Trying that results in the swift keyboard permanently taking up half your screen even after exiting the app, you have to restart your device to get it to go away. Tempest is smashed into some graphic pixelated garbage, unplayable, I don't know what I'm looking at, it doesn't resemble the game in any way. Every game starts with a confusing control panel that takes up 35% of the screen and you don't know how to start the game. I would like my money back.

M70%

Im a 10 year old and i love the classic arcade games. now people are obsessed with stuff like halo and call of duty we need more arcade games.I just wish the games didnt all cost money

B70%
by B####:

I purchased all games but when I select manuals for games it downloads them upon selecting. I want a download all manuals button or download all assets. Also needs reverse landscape or auto orientation for wide screen setting because it's landscape on side I don't want it. Prefer other landscape. On iOS version it auto landscapes depending how you hold iPad. This version is inferior. I wasted 10 bucks buying 99 games again. I'll just play on my iPad and not my android phone.

K70%
by K####:

The memories come flooding back. My only niggle.... the Activision Anthology recognises my bluetooth gamepad - unless I'm missing something this doesn't support it at all. Controls are set up well for a touchscreen, but still can't compete with using a physical pad.

K70%
by K####:

For some reason when I accidently forgot to use a cap in my password while trying to buy all games for 9.99 now it's not offering me that option when I try a second time. Its only showing the option to purchase one at a time.

K70%
by K####:

This is an access app. It doesnt have anything playable when you first open it, but then it gives you the option to purchase playability for games you choose. Annoyingly, space invaders isnt on the list of available titles. The titles are also arranged in lists of the original consoles they were available on, giving the appearance theres more titles than there actually are. It would be nice to have at least one free game and maybe some demos and original music cues to tempt us to buy. As it is, its useless

K70%
by K####:

I bought the original atari game which apparently can no longer be found in play store and unlocked all 99 games. It crashes every time it gets past the initial credits. Now the only option is to spend $10 on the new "remastered" version. Ripped off. When is something going to be done about this? *Update* that link to that page doesnt seem to work on android devices. Considering you know my likelihood of using an android device, why would you send me to a page thats not mobile friendly?

R70%

Great stuff. Totally faithful to the arcade versions as you would expect. A lot of negative reviews here are about it not being free. Get over it. E.g. 63p for all asteroids variants? To play as much as you want? Did none of you ever go to an arcade as kids? Bargain.

K70%
by K####:

My old purchases are gone(centipede, asteroids, major havoc,) and on Google play page I can't reinstall them. Very upset. Tried to put in service request it wouldn't let me..what's the Atari I'd #??? Please fix..... my old purchases were on 9/5/12

K70%
by K####:

On LG G4, there are sound problems (Sound isn't right) with Centipede, and hooking up to BT, much sound is MISSING (Explosions, etc)... Wouldn't be much of a problem, except Centipede is why I downloaded the app in the first place! Other than that, it 's great so far.

K70%
by K####:

I was happy to see this collection when I switched from iOS to android. But, alas: this seems a very poor port of that version, though both are made by Code Mystics. The android version not even supports a Bluetooth Joystick! :( I am sorry now that I bought the whole pack... Again!!!

K70%
by K####:

This is totally fun! Not sure why people complain about the price. It's free to download with one free game. Only .99 for 3 games or $10 for 100. That's a deal!

K70%
by K####:

But why release a "free" game if you're just going to charge the he player for all but one of the games. I get that a $10 game turns people off of downloading but that's what this essentially is. Great range of games though. I would recommend that you keep some of the particularly classic games like asteroid or pac man free

Hello, I have purchased this game in the past on my galaxy S5 and one day it stopped working, I tried un installing and re installing and it did not worke. Today I installed it on my Galaxy S7 but it is not letting me play all games, it just has missile command and says to pay $9.99 for the rest of the games. (It does say that it is in app store purchases) Can you please help, I had no problem paying the $9.99 once. But not going to pay twice. Can you fix this?

Only giving two stars because of only being able to try one game, missile command. Brought back memories and did work just fine. The others probably work great also, you should let us try them out. I've been burned to many times by buying games that I can't try. So sorry. Good job on the one free game through

S70%
by S####:

I've read some people saying this was a waste of money and I'm sorry they had problems with the older version but this one is awesome! If you dropped quarter after quarter into the video games back in the 70's like I did you will get a real kick out of playing them once again exactly the same as you remember them. You get a variety of options for most games so you can have the shooter button on either the left or right hand side etc so that makes it more comfortable. I have been using my Nexus 7 tablet and the games are crystal clear and sound great. No more quarters...imagine all the money I'll save. Try it for yourself and see.

S70%
by S####:

One game is free and you have to buy the rest. Every time someone explains this they say to open a ticket and they will help you resolve it. It's not resolvable until you change your description to "it costs money but we have given the player a sample to play to see if they like it". If you change that maybe you will get fewer negative reviews. I'm sure your games are just fine but with this misleading advertising how can anyone really rely on having good costumer service from you.

Atari's greatest are remastered onto mobile with revamped controls and giving us all a trip down memory lane. It has their 2600 games and their arcade titles too. You can look at box-art, manuals and arcade cabinets to select games or go in the menus. What would be nice if it had Activision's Atari games like Pitfall because those were classics and also, the menu is kind of slow and needs to be fixed. Great App Atari!!

H70%

I'm one of the people that bought games on the old version, and now can't restore them. I tried submitting a ticket through the website as this page suggested, but their ticketing system won't let me submit a request. I guess I just lost all of my money I spent on this. I wish I could give it zero stars. As someone who's been an Atari player since the original days, it's sad to see what this company has become since the name has been bought and sold over the years. Very disappointed.

I dont know why everyone is talking so bad about this app. Sure you have to pay $10 if you want all the games, but so what?? Yes there are ads, again who cares? I really enjoyed this app i love all the little details they put in it and i love having all those arcade games at my fingertips! I also like the other mobile app options from Atari. Although centipede origins isnt great i still enjoyed it too. The only thing i can say about THIS app is they should have included Food Fight, other than that o love it.

Its a lot of fun, its nice to be able to sit down and play a classic game, despite the hate on the latest update it was actually quick and easy to get your purchased games back, all you have to do is hit the button on the bottom left corner and then scroll down to the bottom, then you hit restore purchases then hit when it was bought and then you can fill out the information from the receipt you get in an email from Google play, make sure is not a different account, and then hit the transfer button.

It would be good to win a free credit for beating the high score to let you play any game once. Beating high score again on any game should give another free token. Make the winner of free tokens view a video to claim prize.
