Astraware CodeWords is an addictive word game with a difference! You start with a crosswords style grid but instead of words, each codeword letter has been substituted with a number from 1 to 26. It is up to you to figure out which number stands for each letter in the cipher!
There are no clues but 3 letters are already in place to help you get started and each letter of the alphabet is used at least once. You start by guessing possible words and matching numbers with letters, until you've fully cracked the code - and your vocabulary and logical reasoning will be stretched along the way!
Did you know that the letter 'e' is the most commonly used letter in English? Did you know that 'th' is the most common pair of letters to be seen together? You'll use this knowledge and more as you make your guesses and work out the words!
Astraware CodeWords gives you access to play our free Daily puzzles - top the global leaderboard by completing the puzzle in the fastest time! For an extra challenge there is a Weekender puzzle available each Friday with a trickier grid and more unusual words.

Thanks for fixing the back button problem. Works perfectly now. It is helpful how the letters are inserted. I'm enjoying the varied difficulty levels. Most are easy-ish, but I get truly stumped on quite a few!

Thanks for the reply, but you misunderstand my comment. Autofill IS turned on. However, sometimes, not all the initial 3 letters you provide are automatically filled in when tapping them.

UPDATE 2/24/17 STILL ENJOYING THIS GAME!! It is one of only a few I have continued to keep on both my tablet & my phone. PLUS w/ all the new puzzles that have been added now how can I not give it 5 stars!! LOVE IT!! (First review)I get extremely bored when the puzzles are too easy. No glitches! Love games that don't have any problems!

Good way to exercise your brain. I prefer this type of puzzle instead of regular crossword since if there are things that I really never heard of before, I could never answer it despite the clue given lol.

Not the hardest puzzle game ever, but certainly one of the most enjoyable Edit. After an update last night, the game freezes upon completion of a puzzle. Tried reloading, no luck. Thanks for responding. Still no luck. Cleared cache, reinstalled. I finish one puzzle and the game freezes on the Submit Score page
