MegaN64 (N64 Emulator) for Android
Look, it's not an N64. As long as you understand that simple fact what do you have? You have the possibility to play all these amazing games again without having an N64. The Emulator is great, simple but complex if you wish. Great on my Samsung Galaxy tab S 10". I would think it would be less effective on a smaller android phone. But runs great. I just wish I had an old N64 controller still to enjoy these gems the way the should be.
This is one of the best damn emulators I've used and I have all of John's Emulators. The picture is crisp, the sound, although a little choppy occasionally, is great, the virtual control pad is on point. This is a great emulator. A couple things I would possibly like to see in the future would maybe be a battery saver function and maybe even cloud support so we can impirt and export our roms. Other than that, this is a top quality emulator.
I found the emulator to run really well but the control layout for a touchscreen is complex i found out on my own thatbyou have to change the button layout display to get thencross instead of the stick. Also i have ticked share controller as can seem to play multiplayer but when player 2 has to do something the buttons dont do anything. Info on this would really help and i would be happy to vote a 5 star ratingbif support comes through that works.
I tried to fix not having any sound or video by restoring to default settings. Well, it sure worked because it literally reset everything including my save files (which are gone forever now). And that isn't the only time I lose progress, since the game crashes often and I have to reload. Well I hope you are happy now, after asking for the 1,000,000th time to rate 5 stars!
I love the app, it's really amazing, but there's certain games where there's glitching and the hallways become green, or pink, aside from that the app's amazing and I love being able to play timeless classics. I can't use cheats or else the game won't load & will crash, then I'll have to restart the game in order to play again. Please resolve these grievances and will gladly rate 5 stars.
This emulator app is good and I figured out how to enlarge the buttons. The only problem is that there isn't a feature for the user to move the buttons around, especially if your phone automatically has a menu slide from the top screen; it gets really annoying. Other than that this app is good and I'll recommend it to others. Just add that feature and 5 stars for me. Also I understand that there's ads it's free app and you need the revenue for it.
This is a great app. My only problem seems to be that quite a few games seem to not load at all. A few like battle tanx, ocarina of time, donkey kong 64, kirby 64 ceystal shards and madden either do not load regardless of where the file was downloaded or have significant trouble playing or even fitting the screen. But other than that this emulator is fantastic.
This emulator is easily the best n64 emulator. I can use my Xbox one controller on it b/c I hate touch controls and the graphics are better than that of the n64 itself. The performance is great and it runs smoothly all the time. It rarely ever crashes and if it does, it's because I have a bunch other tabs open. I'd recommend this emulator to other people
Is fantastic for what's available. The standard settings run most games at a playable level. Once perfect dark can play I will make it 5 stars. Pokemon stadium 2 is also slightly broken but the battling is flawless. Once you get into battle and learn the tricks it's playable. Best so far :)
It takes a bit of getting used to but it's great! I am having a blast playing these old games on my phone. Just make sure you get good roms or you won't have much fun. If you have issues, check the rom before judging the emulator. This really is an amazing app to have if you enjoyed or want to enjoy for the first time the very first 3d games from Nintendo.
Tried to play multiple games and it looks good and would be a lot of fun but each game had one small way of stopping me from proceeding into the game. Ocarina of time would glitch when I went into the main menu to equip the sword and shield so I couldn't click on them which means I can't even get past the first area. Donkey Kong wouldn't let me jump into the beginning barrels so couldn't get past the first area either. Really was hoping to play some old favs but app I guess isn't good for tablets
Whole rooms on Ocarina of time will turn green. Other than that, I love it. I won't take a star off for the rooms changing color, because that doesn't happen often and game play is smooth. In some parts of the game, there would be no artwork, but giant, single colored geometric shapes. Ex. Instead of a church, there's two tall pink rectangles. Instead of a tree, there's a green rectangle.
I'm 32 and I love this game since it was launched. I have a N64 and a GC but life is different as an adult (bummer) so the only time I can play a little is while in bed before going to sleep. Took me not too long to get control of the bow and slingshot (the only thing a little harder than using the original controller). I'm already in the Shadow Temple and only started playing 10 days ago. So much fun even though I know where every little item is, from gold skulltulas, piece of heart, great fairies, etc etc
I love everything about this emulator. One thing I love is you can actually save your games, and you can do it for free. The graphics are normal N64 graphics. The controls get you from point A to B, they get the job done so it's fine to use til you get a Bluetooth controller. I never leave reviews but I truly love this emulator. Bout to play some Super Mario 64. ✌
It's a good emulator. Has a few bugs when it comes to loading some of the roms, and it may be the roms themselves, but sometimes I find certain things not loading right, like insides of buildings. But overall it's still dope to play some games from the best console ever! Lol N64 FOR LIFE!
This was a very good emulater, but the controlling is akwward during gaming. If your like me and are looking forward to playing Mario Cart this is the app you want. However, when you score the colorful mystery box and want to use the item; pressing Z leaves your touch screen joystick (thumbless). So, it is difficult to steer when you want to use your power-ups.
This app does exactly what you would expect. It plays N64 games extremely well. Keep in mind that while this emulator runs very efficiently, some games like paper mario and yoshis story still have difficulty running. No emulator is perfect but this one does a good job with many games - particularly, super Mario 64!
I love this app; though I originally had written that it had graphics problems on my Android (Samsung S6 Edge). After a bit of research I figured out how to make it play perfectly. Follow the steps below for perfect graphics: 1) Go to Settings, then PLUG-INS, then Video. Change video settings to gles2glide64. 2) Go to Settings, then under the Hardware tab click on Video. Check the box for RGBA_888 mode. The ONLY problem that is now left is that the standard buttons do not include the L button.
It works very well, it works like an emulator on a PC. You still got to download roms from online but, when you do the games work pretty well. Some games you may need to play with the plugins but it's very easy. The only problem I have is the volume buttons don't work as R or Z. But overall it works
Love how I can play n64 roms. Small glitching but nothing serious... However there is no "L" button other that some other small bugs but sweet that I can play all my old favorite games on my s7 edge. Great work guys keep it up!
I stated it's silly. And for good reason! It's great! I love this thing!!! Plays almost every game and unless something is wrong with my device, or there is a compatability issue with graphics BECAUSE OF THE DEVICE AND NOT THE EMILATOR, it runs like a sopping wet dream. Who could ask for more?
Look at full 3D games like Donkey Kong. At full game speed, it causes hollow glitches, aka no solid trees or walls. When I change the reality engine, the trees become solid but the game isn't very playable because it's at a slow speed and the image is glitchy and slow. I know it isn't my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5.
The game was gliching if i had to rate this app a 4 or a 5 but little things kept happening like i started the game and got 4 hearts and when i got to death mountain i had 3. The sky was having trouble loading. The games didnt play the way i wanted it to. Not a bad app but needs work
It's need better control sense. I play Zelda on it an mostly when I try an hold the Z or R buttons they don't stay down while I'm holding them an I end up taking a beating. Other then that the A and B buttons can be a little bigger for easier use.
Runs smoothly, very awesome. It is all worth it for missing parts of face in Super Smash Bros. Not good for games like Super Mario 64 because of many double button controls like the long jump but for other games without much double buttoned controls, it's a great emulator.
Runs really smooth☕and bro, its hard playing on a touch screen, which I like the replay value of some of my favorite games
This app is awesome. It made me feel very happy playing old classic n64 games. However some games are a bit glitchy. For some i cant use the control stick and the buttons won't work. If it wasnt for these little bugs i would definitely give this 5 stars.
It's honestly a good app and it's really fun but, whenever I do save something the game will delete it. I play aidyn chronicles and whenever I save in game it glitches and exits immediately. I really wish I could play this amazing game again without having to be kicked from it for saving. Do me this big favor and fix the saving for me.
Great app! Im able to play many Nintendo 64 roms, the one I was most impressed with was Pokemon Stadium. The only downside is there is an analog stick feature but I cannot get it to work. But other than that, It's amazing! (:
The concept is great. In all honest the whole thing is great. But the only problem is that I have had this same app 4 times and each time have the same game. Every time I get good and far it messes up and doesn't save my progress so I have to restart the game completely. It has happened every single time.
Please anyone help me. I installed this game and choose the Pokemon stadium 2 ROM that I downloaded. I click play and then resume it says preparing emulator and then comes back to the home screen. Mine mobile is Android lollipop. I have seen this emulator working on jellybeans. Please help me !!
I am very grateful for this to exists. I downloaded paper mario and it was stupid pixelated so I couldn't enjoy the old game and times. So I don't know if it was the download or the app butt whatever. It just influence me to buy and actual Nintendo 64 so yep
Wonderful so far. Though does this app have the ability to change the locations of the various touch controls? If not, then that would be a wonderful addition. Though to be frank, this emulator is incredible!! I am amazed by the ability to even play stuff like this on a platform meant for flappy bird. Good stuff.
Missed playing my N64. Ever since the kids broke it I thought I'd never get to play my Ogre Battle 64 again. Good things do come to those who wait. And now I don't have to sit in front of the television and do a whole lot of plugging cords in and out to play it. Cheers to all the lazy people like me. Lollz
I think it is a great emulator, runs smooth on my Galaxy S5, but went to play WWF no mercy and you kind of need all of the buttons on the controller for to play. but the controller seems to be missing the d-pad and the L button which I'm sure could still fit. If fixed could be perfect.
I loved the n64 and now I can play n64 games with my tablet for free! I only ask of 1 thing. If u could just work on the fog more so it's not glitchy then it would truly be THE BEST n64 emulator for mobile devices
Works most of the time, with a few games like donkey Kong 64 not working so much. But still, out of the 300 or so games most work. For a free app I'm very happy. Sure there are ads in the select game screen, but what do you expect, its free. Great app
So there are plenty of mupen apps out there. This one is no faster then the Mupen 64 AE and is the exact same app but with ads. I dont know how this got better reviews and more downloads than the official one but people need to stop using this and stop having to watch ads
Emulator runs great, no crashes, works on a low spec phone and is a lot more hassle free than previous emulators. No computer required. Very fun and ads so far have not been an issue for me graphics are a little sketchy at times though

I love this emulator, allows me to play all the games I loved as a child any time I want! I've used this emulator for years, its always been great. Lately though, there's been a small problem. Cheats no longer work, when you try to enable cheats it says"Rebuilding Cheat Database" but the cheats list never shows up. I'll rate 5 stars once this is fixed, because other than that this app is perfect.
