You'll control two spheres, one for each thumb, traveling along rails crammed with dangerous obstacles you'll need to avoid to survive.
To avoid the obstacles and stay alive, you'll need to enter a trance- like, thumb- enlightened state.

Besides, Trails introduces all-new, color- based mechanics! Your spheres may change color from time to time, and you'll need to adapt to color obstacles.
