Battle for Wesnoth for Android
It's not out on the note 4 just yet! Please oh please let it be released for the note 4. I loved this game on my PC and occasionally play it on that, but I would play it much more often on my phone! It worked on my S3 and it was played a couple of times, but with the stylus and the larger screen, it just seems like the note 4 was built for this! If it is released for the note 4, I will gladly give it 5 stars.
This is a badly done Android port of a great Open Source game. And even worse, the money you pay doesn't go to the project, it goes to line the pockets of one particular developer who's not even that involved with the main project. Wait until someone else ports this, does a better job, and promises to support the main project with some part of the proceeds.
Worked OK on my other Android devices running KitKat. However on the Nexus 9, after downloading all the additional files, it fails to load up to the main menu. Also, on hi-res phone/tablet thee should be option to change the font size as the default is too small.
This game is freakin' awesome. Definately recommended to ANY turn based RPG fans. My only complaint, minor as it is, is that I wish there were some new campaigns for us who has played the game through and through. Other than that, my absolute favorite game!!!
Arguably the best turned based fantasy strategy RPG made. Plays true to PC version on Nexus 7. Looking forward to the possibility of new scenarios. Such additional content would be worth a modest premium.
I upgraded to the HTC Evo 4G LTE which has a much higher resolution. The game zoomed completely out and won't zoom in or out any more. I can't read a thing. Too bad, this is a strategic game that beats all others.
This version is from 1.8 branch and thus no longer suitable for multiplay since nobody uses 1.8 server any more. The vendor has not replied to my requests to upgrade to 1.10 branch (which is the currently used stable branch).
It's a good port of the desktop version with nearly all features present. It's not optimised for tablet, but doesn't look overly phone-like and is very good. REVIEW UPDATE: no updates in over a year. It's still a great game and port but not recommended for the old content.
This game is one of those games you'll probably play here and there on phones in 20 years with holo display and full graphics cards in them, and it's that fun. Not only is the strategy game play great, but from scenario to scenario you get to bring the units that fought and leveled up from previous battles into the next one. But the end of a campaign you usually have a little "family" that's kicks some serious but. Try the game out! You won't regret it!
Doesn't have all the features of the free version for PC, and there are no plans for updating it. Just play on your PC for free. Buying a free game is a good way to support open source developers, but not when your going to get worse support than the free version.
The game works just fine and as expected. There is one problem though when one is in the multiplayer lobby and wants to write. I tried it and realised I just can't hit Enter. Can anyone fix it ? Thanks!!!
I played this game thr ipone, it was great, so when I hot m y galaxy gs3 I was excited and bouggt the game. Boy was I disappointed, the charectors and words are so small, can't see the charetors nir read the text, and they skipped several missions. Game sux. Could I get my money back, please?
Nice game - know it of old from the desktop version, but fonts are WAY too small to read on my Hudl2 and there's no way to zoom in at all. I can just about manage to tap the areas to move to with care, but it's a frustrating experience. Wish I'd tried the free version first, but I thought I knew the game. If some sort of zoom option could be added it would make a world of difference, but not playable for me at the moment I'm afraid.
This is really an epic game with hours and hours of play time. It's widely recognised as one of the best free games on windows and linux and the interface works really well on android. I would like to see some of the pc and linux versions expandability on this version though.
Can you add a multiplayer mode where you CAN ONLY RECRUIT LORDS THAT COME FROM UR EMPIRE? If yes please let everybody know just asking ok? Oh an.. now my phone is making stuff glitchy

I'm sure it's very good, but it doesn't work on a Nexus 4 and lollipop, probably doesn't work on any phones running Lollipop. Last updated 2012? It's a dead app, so avoid!
This brilliant strategy game is unplayable for most gamers (graphics & text are too small to read/see), unless you have a low rez device. Seeing as most mobile gamers have high end devices, most mobile gamers will find themselves stuck. It is exceedingly lame that the devs have not lifted a finger to fix this 2 year old issue. ~Al Jackson Founder and Editor Hardcore Droid
Overall this is a brilliant game for lovers of turn based strategy with rpg elements. It has great depth of storyline and strategy. The only downside is it runs quite slowly/laggy (at least it does on my phone, Huawei U8800). If the developer could speed it up so that it ran faster it would be a 5 star game for sure, and probably one of the best turn based strategy games on Google Play. Had to drop my rating as it is not supported by my Nexus 5 wunning Lollipop. Please fix!
I've loved Wesnoth for years and was really excited to get it on my tablet, but it doesn't seem to work with lollypop. This was a huge disappointment to me, so I'd suggest trying the date no first to make sure it'll work on your system. I really hate to give this game one star, but until it works on my system, I can't improve the score.
It's great apart from the fact that you can't use multiplayer and also sometimes the local multiplayer glitches out and you can't scroll down pls fix :(
Very challenging game. Lack of zoom to see the detailed graphics is probably the only complaint I have. Update: Has not been updated for Lollipop. App no longer functions.

Fantastic game, when I updated my nexus today, the app will not open. Please update soon!
Ever since my 200mHz PC back in the day, I have been looking for a game with similar depth and strategy to Warlards 3: Reign of Heroes. I have finally found it in this amazing open-source game!! Works with my Asus Memo Pad HD7 and my LG G3!!
How do you turn the sound off? I have sound muted on my device but it still plays and can't find any settings in the app. Seems nice otherwise. Edit: Found it! The settings menu is well hidden and a bit hard to find on the smaller screen of my phone
I love this game, and have played it for hours on Linux. Still, it needs to stay current with the latest pc version, as I can't open my saved games from the pc. If there was any way I, as an embedded software engineer, could help I'd love to.
I have been looking for a strategy game with more depth than many of the 'cutesy', simple games that are out there for phones/tablets and this is it. Great game, still fun after having it a few months, and the storylines are good.

Impossible to play, can't read the text. Would give zero stars if possible. Too late to get a refund, too.
It's too hard? A tablet interface wouldn't be bad also...
A great game and a great port. Tons of fun for strategy fanatics, with factions that matter. Tons of replayability thanks to a RMG and various methods of multiplayer. Runs a lot smoother on my Android device than the IOS port did on that device.
They never added multiplayer like they said they would last September. Everything runs smoothly, takes up A LOT of RAM when playing though.
Great game, on older devices with lower resolutions. Pretty much unplayable on the Nexus 7 2013 now that I wanted to play it again...
I love this game on PC... I just bought it for Android and the game crashes while starting... Since I tried uninstall and reinstall I can no longer get a refund... I just want to play... I'm bummed... :(
Great game on desktop and ipod touch, but it lags and freezes on my droid 3. If the screen goes off I have to remove my battery to unfreeze my phone.
Once u start and get into developing your force its hard to put Down
This is a fantastic game worthy of 5 stars and miles ahead of similar games I have tried. Only complaint is my eyes hurt after playing it so much!.
Playing campaign, everything OK, phone crashes (Unrelated). Go to reload game from App Store and NOW it's "incompatible"? I was playing it just now!! EDIT: The app was relabeled as compatible once again. I reinstalled.
