Dark Strokes Free

Keeps saying "Can't keep a profile on the server. Check internet connection" but my internet wifi is connected and working. Even tried turning on Data and still gives same message. Please fix. It is a really fun game and I really wanna continue playing. Will raise to 5 stars if this us fixed. Thanks.

Great story, fun puzzles, and ton's of things to find. I payed for the collectors edition, and got pop ups for other games, but nothing major. I have bought other games for my laptop, and payed $10.00 to $20.00, so $5.00 was a good price for a game that i have now played 3 times! Took me a little over 6 hour's to complete, the first time, and I usually like longer games, but it was fun, and the storyline kept me interested.

The game looks like it would be fantastic, as are the other games from alawar. But any time I try to unlock the free version I get some sort of cannot connect to server, check internet connection. Which, I know my internet is fine, it's working for all other things. Don't know what I'd want to buy the game if I'm having issues after the 1st chapter.

Great story, graphics, transition from place to place. Mini games challenging but can be done with patience so few skips and hints needed. Hours long for reasonable $2 charge. Not quite done with game but only downside is map isn't interactive. Since large area mostly broken into smaller group of sites at a time and multiple things to do at each site, basic map works OK. Videos only long enough to move story along. Yeah!

The game itself deserves five stars. The one star rating is because I paid for the game and was sent a receipt by Google Play. Alawar claimed the transaction failed despite my sending them an email through Google Play with my receipt attached. As a result I had popup ads bothering me all,through the game. I do not feel I got what I paid for and will not in the future purchase any games from Alawar.

Storyline was interesting, if a little predictable, but a few things were never explained. Graphics were great, as always, and the puzzles were on the more challenging side (I was VERY thankful for some of the hints!) Like others have pointed out, after the first part you have to pay for the rest of the game. It was only $2.99, and I can always play it again later, but it did take me less than a day to finish. I gave this game 4 stars because despite paying for this game, I was still bombarded with ads.

I'm not proud to say I have been playing way to many of this type of game lately. After playing countless Big Fish, G5, and Artifex games I stumbled on this one and was VERY pleasantly surprised! The game play was long, the graphics and storyline were great, no glitches, and the price was less than many G5 and Artifex games. Great job guys, keep it up!

Usually this developer has great games that are truly free. This one would seem to be so except it keeps giving me an error when trying to unlock the next chapter about my internet connection. That is obviously not a problem. What's up Alawar?

You have to be super precise to "touch" the stuff to move forward and you need to longpress to even get a reaction. But the worst thing is you get commercial pop-ups even though you paid for the game! That is NOT okey at all.

I have purchased several of your games but I'm not happy that I have paid for the collectors edition and it has frozen on the orb where I need to follow the signs for it to release the bone key, but nothing is happening, no signs are moving for me to follow, either fix or a full refund please.. Otherwise it would be a five star, please act quickly

It lasted a good while but what is the point in giving you a map when it doesn't tell you where to go. I also found it very annoying that ads kept popping up even though I had payed for the game. Very annoyed with this game it won't let me play again even though I paid for it.

I like this game but I'm in the cemetery and brought the last gem to open the casket. It bounced somewhere and disappeared. Now I can't finish the game becuz I can't get past this. The hint is no help. I press it and it tells me go to the casket. I press it again and it says there is nothing else to do. How do I get passed this?

I really enjoyed this game. The storyline was fun, albeit there were a few glaring plot holes, but I don't play these games for the storyline. But the puzzles were enjoyable, challenging but not too difficult. I would have liked a map but otherwise I think the game is well designed! Worth the purchase!

Help! I really like the game but when i try to unlock the next level for free it says to check my internet connection. My internet is fine. I'm using it to post this right now... please fix and then i will give 5 stars.

Would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for all the ads appearing even though I've paid for this game. Good story line and puzzles to solve. If you like hog's its fine but there where too many for me

I had the SAME difficulty as others buying the full version. I ended up paying twice - once for each type. Please refund one!

This was a very intriguing game. This is the second time that I am playing this game. I don't remember all of it ,but I knew I liked it well enough to play it again. Thanks for making such fun to play games. Wendy

This game would have been a 5 star had it not been for an ad every time you finished a HOS and the map could have been a little more helpful for example: letting you move from place to place with out all of the back tracking , I had to use the hint button for that right frequently...Other than that this game had a pretty good story line.

It's not actually free and if you attempt to unlock subsequent chapters for free, a convenient and vague error message pops up!

Fix the free part and I'll rate higher no way to contact the company Prolly would not reply back anyway. Come up some bogus check internet my internet is fine I pay my Bill so fix this!

The graphics I like. The puzzles I also like....except for when I have to go through the process of setting the woman free...I'm sure she would have drowned or suffered hypothemia while waiting to be set free. Still it enthralled me to carry on...and even after all that looking and finding what I needed to set her free...the anticipation of getting to the next challenge I'm in there. Keep up the good work.

Yes paid for it and enjoyed it very much. Tons of items to find & had a great time figuring out where to go next. Too me 2 days to complete n really enjoyed it. The only down side was the ads that pop up after every puzzle but other than that loved the adventure

Good game, but don't bother to download unless you are willing to pay for the full version, or else you will only get the first chapter. I wish they would make this clear in the description, I am tired of having this experience with games that appear to be free...

Great game & graphics but the ads are a pain. Expected in the free version but not after purchasing!!!! Took several times for the purchase to be accepted by the game. Get rid of the ads. An interactive map would be helpful too.

The free TRIAL got me so hooked that I just had to buy the rest of the game! I've noticed bad review where people are paying for the game but the game says fail! If you get this, go back into the unlock page & it gives the option "restore purchase" in the top corner! No need to pay a second time! I also see so many people complaining that the game isn't free, even though it CLEARLY STATES "Try & buy!" I've already completed 7 of alawar's games & don't have a bad thing to say about any of them!!

No separate paid app. You need to purchase from within the free game. Overall one of the best Alawar games along with the weird park series. Great story and best visual effects of any Alawar game. Only downside is a lot of ads for a paid app.

I always love alware games they are the best out there I've played many! But this time you can not unlock the free version like you used to be able to before I wanted to play this before playing part 2 so I know what's going on but I cannot get it unlocked it tells me check my Internet connection? Ridiculous and very very disappointed in what is usually a great company

After clicking "next chapter" get error: Can't keep a profile on server! Check internet connection! My internet is fine; so what does this mean? Tried on 3 different devices, getting same error msg. According to other ratings, this has been an ongoing issue since 2014; Alawar has not addressed or corrected. PLS HELP! Until now, I loved the game- 5 star worthy! I'd like to get full version, pls FIX or @ very least, reply & explain how I can resolve. Asking for help since Jan2015. Does anyone read these?

Really enjoyed this game, had a good story and it kept me riveted. Found a couple of the quests challenging but managed them after a lot of thought which is good. One of the best games I've played and really good value for money. Would highly recommend.

Once again, a good game with detail, visually pleasing and interesting. The inventory is in the way and it would be better if it could be dragged in/out of view, a welcome feature of other Alawar games.

Was loving the game till i got to the artists house and needed to get the bone key...no matter what i do i cant get the key so i googled it and others have had this same prob. So now im stuck with a game i paid for that i cant finish. And i agree...if we pay for a game we shouldnt get ads while playing...

Was enjoying the game until it wouldn't unlock next chapter. Kept saying to check my Internet connection and couldn't save profile. There is nothing wrong with my Internet connection. I payed for game so please refund. I even uninstalled and started over but the same thing happened. This is obviously a problem based on other reviewers. So fix it or refund purchase.

Not terribly challenging, but the art is beautifully steam punk without being obnoxious, if that makes any sense. The story line was interesting, but could use something... else. Something a bit less obvious. These are not criticisms but a call from your paying audience to push further, the potential is there to be even more. I like the trend of combining games and interaction and art and literature. Games like this make me look forward to the future of art.

I try to watch a video for a new chapter. It gives me a vague message about their something being wrong with my Internet connection. Yet I have had no problem connecting to my Internet on any other gaming app.
