Good game, with the right price and excellent graphics. Plays smooth, but does not have much replay value. Finishes way too fast for me. Very linear critical path, feels like it takes away from the exploration. Not many secrets to discover, and needs more enemy diversity. As expected during my gameplay most of my deaths were due to me fighting the controls, but that's typical for most mobile games.

An excellent old style game boy type game. Absolutely superb adventure platform and in just my sort of style. Go through a type of maze finding secret rooms, keys for doors and other bits and pieces. It's not too hard or too easy, but it did feel that it could do with other map zones to explore rather then just the one set. If you don't mind the old fashioned style graphics, I strongly recommend trying this!!

Went into it with some apprehension but came out surprised at how awesome this game is! Controls are spot on and feel just right. The ads aren't too intrusive and eventually go away. The difficulty I'd say is JUST right. Challenging but not so much you wanna quit.

This is an exemplary example of a "metroidvania" style of game. The retro graphics make it seem as if it were an actual gameboy game ported to android. The music was on point and exceptionally composed. It was a tad short but that is quite minor compared to everything it did right. Major kudos to all of the development team.

I have one complaint that has killed me in-game more than deaths I feel were legitimate. The Lag and the Deadzones for the buttons need to be fixed. I have died/gotten hit more than 100 times, though I feel that only 9 of them are legitimate. There is a HUGE gap between the Jump and attack buttons. Fix this and I will gladly rate 5 stars.

I am not one for reviewing Google play games often. This game was so exceptionally well made that I had to, as well as give it 5 stars on everything. Brought me back to my childhood playing Game Boy games like Metroid 2, Wario Land and the like. It's by no means a long game but it doesn't need to be. Its beauty is in its simplicity; no weird gimmicks or trying to innovate a solid classic genre of games. This is a perfect example of what the play store needs more of. There are plenty of mindless and half-assed clones of successful games on here, but this is truly a diamond in the rough. Keep it up, guys, I look forward to playing future games by you and would love to see you make even bigger games happen. This is up there with Yacht Clubs Shovel Knight. You did great! P.s. I loved how the final boss was very similar to Yakuza from Metroid: Fusion. Superb job! :)

i have nothing else to say about this game... because it is FREAKING amazing!!! the style is so simple, yet the gameplay it's so good

Great game. Controls on my phone caused me to hit pause with my back button and then hit exit on the pause screen way to many times and end the game instead of jumping. Other than that no problems. Again good game.

Old School Brilliance! Immensely enjoyable. Where it scores over super dd in my opinion is that you have to trawl around the entire dungeon, (which is huge!), visiting previously passed areas to get new items using items you have just unlocked! Works so much better than the linear level progression in super dd and other platformers! Hidden areas are hidden well too! Great job!

This is a great game that emulates the classic Game Boy style. The game is addicting and it's easy to beat in an afternoon. The ending was a let down because I was expecting more. Overall, I enjoyed playing this game.

A delectable game that combines a pallette and sound straight from the GameBoy with tight Mario-esque controls. Top it off with an encouraging checkpoint system, Metroid style exploration, and a free price tag atop humble ad choice and you end up with one of the finest games to grace the Play Store.

Wow, this is by far my favorite appstore game developer. I don't know how you guys keep doing it, but all your games are fantastic considering the usual laziness that is apparent in most games of a similar sort. Keep doing what you do guys, I have faith in you. You're going places.

I absolutely love this game, another masterpiece by Adventure Islands. The music is also really good, and I even started bopping my head. It's a bit easy though, but hey. It's a really solid game in general, not just as a mobile game.

I love this game. Graphics are amazing, good gameplay, and I love the style it's emulating. But towards the end of the game the moving actions don't respond. I hope this is fixed.

One of the best android games I've played. It was so addicting i played through the whole game immediately after downloading it. The only problem with it is it's over too quickly.

This game is amazing. The way that you're led around the map to figure out what you're supposed to do reminds me of metroid, although metroid is much better. But I still think this game is great. If they made a longer version with some more graphics (not necessarily color, just like different areas with different textures) and more music (for different areas) then I would be willing to PAY for this game.

Where to start with this one. This might well be the best retro action platformer on mobile devices from tight controls to great gameplay that shows not every game has to be a dark souls level of hard to be good to catchy 8bit music this game is a gem in a sea of poorly made cash ins. My only gripe with the game is how short it is i want more guess im gonna hit up the time trials :) 9/10 excellent

This game is so good, you'd think it was an actual Game Boy game from Nintendo. Everything about this is pretty much perfect. Please make more of these!

"Please respond" even though snailiad on newgrounds is my favorite metroidvania game this one has a huge potential too I like finding things and going through a map with little explanation I'm trying out the 16 bit version after

The controls suffer from being on phone, it's short but a really good game, the pace makes up for the controls, that's why i thing it gets higher than Super DD, but at the same time is also better because of the overall progression, being it a Metroidvania kind of game.

10/10 Better than most retro mobile games super addictive and has great gameplay!

I absolutely enjoyed the game, didn't realize it was a jam game until after I beat it, the controls can stick sometimes but that may just be my phone. But really, you should play it.

Overall I had a good time playing this, it was a simple platformer but something you could believe would be a game boy game. Not really a difficult game, only one part (for me) was genuinely hard but I would recommend this.

Perfect Little Adventure Game -Controls are smooth and feel great -Perfect amount of difficultly and type of gameplay. Must have for anyone. I'll honestly say this is the best free phone game I've ever played.

Its an amazing game, but the only problem is the difficulty, i like challenges but this is too much, there comes a point where you can't even get thru a room without dieng, it whas challenging but its not humanly possible to get thru the whole game on a mobile phone.

This looks like a game that could've been made in 1989 for the gameboy. But not only does it look like a gameboy game it plays like one aswell.Its got that stiff control scheme. And it is a great game. 10 outa 10

A very great experience with nice controls pretty graphics to mimic the gameboy, and fun items Rogelio you get further. I believe this needs more exposure.

A great little action platformer with spot-on controls and simple mechanics. Though it is a short game the time I had playing it was both challenging and enjoyable from beginning to end.

It's a very fun game. It could use more maps, more secrets and more item usage. Should make a sequel to this style, with more ways similar to this and the other dungeon game, possibly.

Im surprised, very surprised, this game has 0 in app pruchases, is completely free, and is actually a really solid game, I'm going to keep watch on adventure islands in the future.

Very fun metroidvania with solid controls, smooth and rewarding progression, and challenging but not punishing gameplay. Hopeful for a sequel thats a bit longer.

The key by water is almost impossible
