Press the button a set number of times, after these are done you must wait a set amount of time before the button can be pressed again.
There are upgrades that can be purchased by the points gained from pressing the button to do certain things such as, reduce the timer between presses, increase the number of points from each press, or ever reset the timer completely.
There are also several possible effects that happen randomly when the button is pressed, such as bonus points, or given an extra press.
