Steam: Rails to Riches for Android
Great game. Challenging AI. I've played dozens of times on my commute and it's no less fun now than it was the first time. Highly recommended.
Absolutely love it! Great game runs well challenging AI.
Game is good. Needs some better descriptions. Map add-ons won't download for me even though I paid for them.
This game is fun, but it needs a records page where you can see your stats. Wins, losses, total points, total tracks laid, etc. It also needs to have some Achievements on Google Play Games. The feedback link inside the game doesn't work, it wouldn't let me type in it. So for now, this game scores in the 2.5 - 3.0 range. It's playable, but just barely.
Well implementated, no bugs really for me. Faithful adaption from original board game. However the lack of online or even peer to peer play sucks because even the hard AI is not very good. My last score was a win by like 25 points. Against all hard level.
Freezes frequently, requiring you to exit the program. Only comes with two maps. Update: stability is much better now is.
Love the game. At times buggy and won't allow some roadside legit moves. But all in all great implementation!
Very pretty design, easy to use. I haven't played the boardgame so I was glad of the tutorial, but it crashes the game at the point it's guiding you to move goods through 3 links. It also doesn't mention the bidding that occurs only at the start of the game nor the end game scoring. Perhaps it would if it didn't crash. Plays well on my hudl 2.
Purchased, downloaded and now cannot download map, got error that connection could not be established even having internet access... please review the way maps are downloaded
Its come a long way with the expansion maps. If they do Steam Barons even better.
I've been waiting for this since I heard it was coming to mobile on Boardgame Geek. It's a faithful adaptation of the tabletop version and it runs smoothly on my Shield Tablet. About the only downside to the game was the decision to make the German map a separate purchase as it's included in the tabletop version. It's an annoyance that I think could've been avoided by including it in the base game and increasing the price by a buck or two. Update: the addition of the Basic rules and the Carcassone map are welcome additions so I bumped it up to 5 stars.
Updated review: The AI sometimes locks up for no reason and requires exiting to the main menu and reloading the game -- once I figured out that this resolves the issue I managed to actually finish one game. Tile placement is a little awkward -- trying to confirm placement tends to rotate the tile instead. But hey, at least it's the full game now. The AI itself is OK, but nothing to write home about. I'm decent at Steam and I crushed it. UI actually looks really good and is clean and intuitive, so props for that. Having undo is great also.
Intelligent play on the game of risk and strategy in an economic railroad competitive simulator. Personally, I find this game both satisfying and inspirational as one who loves game for their logical foreplay. Strongly recommend for players and designers alike!
Gave 4 stars at launch, but dev continues to support, so now I give 5 stars!!! Added new maps plus basic version of game. Awesome game! One of my favorite board games!!
I love the boardgame and this is a faithful translation. This app will continue to improve as more maps and online multiplayer is added.
Absolutely love it. After you got your grip on the rules tricks etc. it is just really nice blend of logical strategical challenge. Money and time well spent...!!!
Plays nice on my Galaxy S5. It would be nice if the base version is developed (edit: it now is). Great support from developers.
Can't even get past the install step without an error. Refuses to be installed to "sdram". ? ? ? Did not tell it, or configure Google Play Store, to install directly to SD. Though that would be a nice feature.
Game is nice but a computer player went bankrupt, and asked me to continue or quit (as if i went bankrupt). Hit continue and could not actually continue. Also could not continue saved game after exiting.
Very good game and implementation. Thank you so much for the colorblind mode update! I'm ready for cross platform online multi-player feature.
Great implementation of the game. Runs well on my 7" Kobo Installs but will not run on my Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Includes only one map by default. And plenty of Unity specific bugs that often force you to make a different move than what you have planned.
Unable to launch.
Sometimes i can't deliver goods even tho the cities are connected and i have high enough locomotive level
When trying to commit tiles to a space, tapping rarely works. Fix the buggy Interface, also give me a refund. Waste of money.
Great game and I enjoyed playing it a lot when it worked. Nexus 6p user, game would lock up, and various other bugs kept it from being playable.
Game would not install. Got a refund.
It took a little bit to figure the game out. By then, the play refund period was no good. Felt like it was designed that way. I have not played the RL version, this version can do more and better though. The game is itself fine but; *Still waiting on the multiplayer development. *To pay 4$ for every map isn't right. Applying and advertising for a kickstarter campaign would be a better strategy.
With the update it is fixed, had a good time playing.
But in tutorial not fixed. Won't let you progress without moving good that aren't there.
The gameplay seems solid so far, but having to pay extra for the Ruhr map is a slap in the face to every fan out there. Furthermore, there's no base game available for whatever reason, so all-in-all the list price is for half a game with a missing map.
After various failures I managed to get the game to run (with some encouragement from the developers). The tutorial still causes the app to freeze up though on both my Google Nexus and my LG phone, but the game does run pretty smoothly. The AI is very tough, and I've been seeing odd behavior in the game, but I'm not sure if these are the results of bugs or my misinterpretation of the rules. I hope that game continues to improve with multiplayer options and more maps.
Will give five stars once basic rules (no bidding) are implemented. Also, not too excited about having to pay for a map that is included in the base board game
Great implementation, scalable interface...Plays great on Nexus 5,6,9. AI is tough...bids hard, hogs urbanization and locomotive actions, steals my cubes. Would like networked multiplayer with AI seats, please, please....
Plays nice on my Galaxy S5. It would be nice if the base version is developed.
Fix for color blind people needed

Just downloaded and tried playing. Didn't get far. It is so full of bugs I can't believe it was released to the public!!!! How do I get a refund??? Seriously, I want my money back!
The tabletop version of Steam is my all time favorite board game. Not happy that this android version does not offer the basic non-auction play mode that is in the rulebook.

Why don't you say in your advertising that you have to buy most of the maps, this would have altered my decision. How do you get a refund on an app ?
