Heroic Battle

Graphics are weirdly bad at times, but it's very well made otherwise. Game becomes softlocked if you move back and forth three times and close the warning, and the Resume option resumes the last time you manually pressed the back button in the game (which does nothing in the above softlock), not when you exit the app.

Great game period. Heroic Battle remains true to the original stratego graphics and gameplay, much more than the "official" app does. It could be more challenging but still lots of fun to play. Easy 5 stars + [[Keep up the great work and improvements. Maybe consider point values for pieces remaining rather than a set 100 points which might give the point system more meaning.]] T

Excellent app overall, especially for a free download - the only exception being the hilariously incompetent AI. I know Stratego is a famously difficult game to program but sometimes I wanted to let the computer win just out of sympathy.

There are two aspects to Stratego. First, you have to make your setup, and then you play against your opponent. This app forces you to pay just to make your own setup, and only lets you choose from a few bad setups.

It's good but there are only three builds you can play with (they are quite crappy btw) :( Please add at least one custom-builds slot and I will give stars

I played Stratego as a youngster many decades ago. I still have it the urge to win. Most enjoyable. Keep adding more complexities and achievements.. I am Somebody! Thanks Raymond R.

Just like real Stratego, but you don't have to pay$6.00! Not having online multi-player is a small price to pay.

Best Stratego game on Android. Love the pass and play. One glitch I found though, if you go into settings and back out, you reveal most of your opponents pieces. Just wanted to pass that along.

Great game....if only it had multiplayer

It's better. However, there's room for improvement. When I get a new achievement, it stops and I have no choice but coming back to main menu and start a new game.

Okay I can move my pieces from 1-8 just like my #9 scout however when I do this and move them more than 1 space it locks them into the space I move them too and weirdly the computer can go over top of them and oddly if they pass and my piece is a lower number the computer loses its piece, also this makes me unable to move any of my other pieces in the pathway I sent my initial piece in the first place so it limits my play on the board.......is this a glitch???

Game is fun. It's just like the board game, staff does a good job updating issues. Only wish the AI was a little more competitive, but overall a great game!

Good game just like the real thing. The AI isn't that smart, tho. And, it sucks your battery dead quickly.

Purchased extra content for $1.49 but didnt work. Stuck with the 3 basic set ups. Please fix the problem or refund my money. Still no fix and my review isnt showing up.

need a little smarter ai

Love it! My family and friends wont play stratego with me (i always win lol). This is the best free version. Some ideas: 1) Im working on the last ????(victory 500) so a few more acheivments would be nice! For instance i beat the cpu on general lvl in about 32 moves! That is probably my best acheivment . 2) the stats could give more info like best time and leadt moves ;) 3) need a "marshal or spy difficulty level! Insane difficulty option please! 4) at sum more music tracks! Have it cycle seemless randomly or something ;) 5) option to be blue ? Thanx for a great game ! No time for games in my life except for this one!

The game is very user friendly and allows you to save set ups for quick play. Only downside is the AI is kinda weak.

Everything is exactly what I need in a Stratego game. Simple, straight to the mechanics, just like the classic board game, the ads aren't even so bad. I just hope that the ui stays this simple without the unnecessary overlays like in other Stratego apps. Only thing that it leaves me craving is 2 player mode. A must have for this game, really. If everything else remains the same, 2 player is added (via WiFi or Bluetooth or simply on the same device) and those occasional ads are removed, I would be entirely willing to pay $2 or so for the game.

I very, very rarely review any app simply because there are so many reviews to begin with. So for me to post one, it has to really be something special. This Stratego game, in my opinion, has to be, without question, the very best I have played ever. The AI is on par with or better than the best PC game or actual Stratego app. The gameplay is quick and moves along very quickly. The only suggestion that I could even stretch to make is for the computer to put up an even tougher fight.

Enjoy the game. After working my way up to top score after 400 games, my total games was reduced to 96. Ranking system means nothing to me any more.

Great! Cuts through the extras and gets to the essence of the original game. Minor critiques: You might consider adding a "take back last move" icon and/or a screen zoom feature. Game play is prone to unintentional moves just because the screen is so small. Also, the leader board and ranking system is a bit puzzling. I can't readily see the relation between my individual statistics (bombs defused, games won/lost, streaks, etc) and the leader board ranking and score (e.g. 73101.) A remedy could be displaying a player's score and ranking in the stats, regardless of their ranking - to give an idea of where a player might stack up in relation to the Top 1000. Overall, great job.

It seems to be a fun strategic game. Desperately needs multiplayer. Like right now! It is good enough

Good display of stratego. Missing a star because you can't save a game. If you exit for anything and come back in you have to start over.

I noticed a Stratego set in Sheldon and Leonard's place (Big Bang Theory) so I started playing again. Really glad I did it is fun, Not as heavy as chess but a cleaver game all the same.

Good game. Opposing computer player is lame needs work on advanced level. Over all excellent game.

Best version of this game I've played by far. One question....is it possible to be the blue side sometimes instead of the red all the time?

I accidentally move the last person i had highlighted. Make it so i have to select a piece every turn. Also make it harder ex: the 1 will never attack if theres a potentoal spy behind it unless its like a 2 or 3. A 2 wont go after a 9 if it knows a 1 is behind it. Too easy, never lost once. But still really good game
