Planar Conquest - 4X strategy for Android
I was looking through all the strategy games for exactly a game like this. I payed 4$ for the base game and 5$ for all the dlc. 9$ is well worth the amount of customization that makes each match different. The depth of strategic gameplay packed in with an approachable UI is commendable. The different planes and summoning creatures are implementations more from Masters of Magic but seeing how the stacks, combat, items and heroes work are much more similar to HOMM. I'd rather play this than Civ Rev 2 any day.
Game is great even with bugs. Tooltips need to be improved and corrected to give better ideal what the spell or item does. Long hold doesn't always trigger the tooltip to appear. Some bugs include graphic not animating properly. Also summoner hero has raise zombie spell broken and summons only 1/4 of the figures. Please balance the Circle of Protection. It is broken how powerful it is. Or raise its tier. Fix bug where it needs to be cast on a unit to gain any effect. Moving onto tile doesn't buff at all.
Planar Conquest follows the lines of Master of Magic or Age of wonders, but this time on Android. The game is filling with what could be great ideas (the titans, undead blight, flying units treatment...), but the sub-par user interface (moving multiple units around is a chore) and numerous bugs seriously impair the gaming experience. In game information is also minimal, so the player needs to dig in the pdf manual to get basic information (eg: how to build a siphon on a node)
-2⭐ for not allowing setting savings. Each time we start a new game we have to redo all our favorite settings.Fix this for a 5 stars rating fix.
its a mixture between the old Lords of Magic and Civ games. 10 hours in and still glued to my seat
SUPERB! JUST what I was looking for. TY 4X!
It's a game great game with a bit of learning curve. Took me awhile to learn the game but enjoyed every moment of it. The only problem is... I never reached the end of the game because when you save a game, the next time you load it you get stuck and can never continue. It's a real shame other wise it is a really good game that I will be playing for a long time. Please fix the save and load bugs.
Wonderful execution. Well worth the cash. It's a shame that an Android market accustomed to not paying for quality will largely pass this by. I for one will continue supporting such efforts and hope the paradigm shifts soon
It is the type of game that I've been waiting for a long time to be on a mobile device. Far exceeds games like CivRev in depth and scope. Wonderful. Some minor bugs but no deal breakers.
Planar Conquest captures that Masters of Magic feel we all search for. Let me be honest this is not your typical Mobile device game. This has all the mechanics of computer 4x game but with a UI that works on mobile devices. This is the most complex, robust, turn-based strategy game I have ever seen on a mobile device. This is essentially a fully fledged computer game that works on a tablet. They have seriously done a great job and I suggest any fans of Sid Meier’s Civilization, Master of Magic, Age of Wond
I've been looking for a game like this on my phone forever....finally! Love the game, very deep gameplay, so worth every penny! You can fully play and enjoy w/o IAPs, they just add more to an insanely good core game. Fantasy civ at your fingertips! Easy 5 stars.
Classic 4X Fantasy strategy game. I own on the PC thru Steam. Love the tactical battles & the UI is well laid out. Runs like a champ on my 8" Asus ZenPad (4GB model) No problems with freezing, drop outs etc. As one poster mentioned, the AI is just OK. If you crank it up it can become very hard as it's cheats. How can't anyone embrace this game? If you love turn-based strategy gaming, then for $6.99 it's a steal. Kept me busy for hours on end @ the airport. If you played Age of Wonders, Master of Magic, then PC is for you. Thumbs Up!
I'll start by stating I'm a huge 4x fan and huge MoM fan, I want to love this game but it is just impossible. The AI is probably the worst I've seen, a gross lack of intelligence made up by an enormous advantage in units. Pull up diplomacy and scroll through the unit counts of your adversaries. Could you amass 100 units by turn 75? It's really a load of crap. I've read in other comments that the computer mows down sites with small armies, I've seen that as well. Oh yeah, and now it won't load at all.
A full 4x-experience well adapted for mobile. If you like games like Civilization then this is the game for you. Furthermore, you can expand the game with more races per dlc if you want the definitive 4x-experience. I can strongly recommend this game.
All the enemys just seem to team up on you, i notice as well that no matter what is in there team the enemys are able to take down any of the creatures that guard the buildings even if its 2 guys vs a mini boss and 10 others the computers just automatically wins every time which is dumb. The diplomatic part dose not make sense how do you make freinds with the other teams? I just randomly try to send alliances and some times they say yes and most of the time thay say no. Good game with flaws
Why? Well as a game it is nearly perfect and has only one flaw. Sadly however that flaw is a gamekiller. It is just way to hard even on easy. Expect to be mowed down by the neutrals on a regular basis after about 25-50 rounds into the game. That is usually long before you even meet your main oponent and aeons before your are even close to building somthing resembling a robust capital or let alone a second or third city. Planar jumping is never an option. After about 10-15 tries you tire of this, dry your tears of fustration :) and start thinking about uninstalling. Yes, l m whining mainly because this game has it all - that is all except actuall playibility on a causuall lvl. This is the one game Ive been looking for on Playstore all along, and now that I finally stumble across it I find that it cant be played due to weak game ballance. In order to sell this game in quantum you need to lower the difficulty bar rather a lot I suspect . Most People willing to spend this much on a game are actually causuall gamers. True story!
Overall good content. The game does have a few bugs to fix like freezing after turn 200 and not being able to load a saved game.
Folks this looks like the kind of game I have been looking for. Unfortunately I can't even play the game due to all of the crashes, especially when entering combat. Using an LG Tab with android 5.0.2. Please look into this, don't let this game die on the vine before its ripe. Would love to see a response from the Dev's.
Refund now i cannot play the game it constantly force closes on me disallowing me to play the game
It is really great game! It so cool! It has some bugs, I hope soon you will solve it!
Doesn't start on Nvidia Shield tablet with 6.0.1 installed
Not perfect but quite good
Amazing version of the classic. Worth every cent.
Planar Conquest
Awesome port. AWESOME
It's a great game no doubt. There's only one problem it's crashes quite frequently especially when i use all the planes of existence. I don't know if it's my phone but it happens in my tablet as well. Please Verify This, Thank You.
Unlike the original MoM, this game works. More of everything you liked, including unbalanced strats, overpowered units, heroes and AI, and excess of goodies. You can tone it down or amp it up as desired. A great game that really lives up to and surpasses the original.
I love this game for PC and decided to get it for my phone. It started up and ran just fine, but then I noticed such a tragic thing. The planes aren't all available, you have to purchase them!!!! Terrible form, you're already making money off a mobile game more than most and you make us pay to get ALL the content after buying the game?! Well excuse me, but that's bullshit and I got my refund thank you very much!
Was looking so forward to this game but got all set to play and It doesn't have mouse support for playing on tablets. Not a big deal to most but that's a feature I really like and thought for sure this game would have it. Would be so much easier to play. But it does look like a awesome game. Maybe it'll have mouse support someday and if it does I'll buy it again and all the iap's.
This is the best tablet game I have played. This is better than a lot of PC games that I have played. $12.99 + $19.99 for this game plus the extra content means you are stealing this game from them. I have payed twice this much for games that were half as good.
Currently unequaled by anything on google play, the content, depth, atmosphere, implementation is off the charts, but make no mistake, the learning curve is large but soooo worth it.
I've been wanting a game like this for ages. Definitely worth having. Having to fork out for all the extra content is a pain but understandable. Multi player and hot seat options would be a massive improvement. Random landmasses when starting a game would also be an improvement
20$ of cut content after a 13$ app price is a tough sell, especially with this many crashes - it took me 5 tries just to get thru the short tutorial, with 2 phone reboots in there (s7 edge.) I'd buy it anyways but game has no personality- city screens are just charts, summons just appear with no fanfare, etc - nothing feels special. Will see what happens with patches but dev abandoned pc version from what I can tell so... tldr: so far, DosBox Turbo and master of magic will do you better for way less $
The level of depth to this game is on par with many PC 4X games. What is most amazing to me is how this game FEELS like it was actually made for mobile. The UI is wonderful. Yes, the game costs $13, and to unlock the FULL version, the in app $20 bundle is the cheapest way to go. I will tell you though, after playing for about 10 minutes and discovering the staggering amount of depth, I immediately purchased everything. For a PC game of this quality you would easily pay more than $33. 10/5 stars.
I have a Note 5 and this game works great on it. Can run without being a huge battery hog and can even go in the background and not close. Buy it now!

This is essentially a fully fledged computer game that works on a tablet. They have seriously done a great job and I suggest any fans of Sid Meier’s Civilization, Master of Magic, Age of Wonders or Elemental: Fallen Enchantress give this a try. Especially if you are like me and loved Master of Magic! It is a great blend of Master of Magic using a d20 system and has over 300 spells and a couple monster manuals worth of monsters in here. This is mobile 4X fantasy done right. :)
Planar Conquest is a turn-based 4X that puts you in the role of a Sorcerer, who is in command of a city on one of the planets (planes) in the galaxy. Explore, expand by building tech, new buildings, increasing your population and armies, starting new cities, hiring heroes, and researching spells and magic. Conquer various resources and wonders on your home world, crush or befriend other Sorcerers. Become strong enough to force all other Sorcerers to be under your command, or just wipe everyone out. Great, deep gameplay to satisfy anyone with a love for 4X games, unlimited game choices, procedural generation, epic battles, world building, transporting to multiple planes, and did I mention firing fireballs or lightning strikes? How about conjuring up an giant dragon to lay waste to your enemies army? Well, I’m going to fire up the game again and do just that. Buy this game, it really is that good.

There are bugs, like, there are bugs that ruin the whole gameplay that makes a game frustrating. Here you have a great game but some bugs, like, frustrating. But the game is awesome. Just wished they'd make an update to fix these small problems that makes this awesome game, like, frustrating. That's all folks.
