Neon FM™ — Arcade Rhythm Game

this is a pretty fun game with a great amount of settings and adjustment! but even with the graphics settings turned down fully, it still has some laggy moments on my Nexus 6P (a 1 generation old top-end phone!). I assume that's because my phone is throttling because the CPU is getting too hot, but I can't say for sure. even with the slight fps issue I still enjoy playing this game a lot, though! it's absolutely one of the best rhythm games on Android. I didn't like the recent change to remove the back button on the top left, but the developer responded explaining the change, so I removed that section from my review. I really apreciate that the developers are so active with this game :D

As a big fan of rhythm games, I've been looking for a good one here on mobile. There are some good ones, but this one takes the cake. This one is the best. Download it NOW.

It's like Tap Tap's older brother who likes to party alot and goes wild. Recommended for those who prefer upbeat EDM music for insane party-themed rhythm tapping goodness.

Overall a great rhythmic game. Has some actually decent songs including Virtual Riot and Monstercat. However, nothing beats Cytus in my book.

Perfect Android version of original arcade version, also has good songs, fascinating visual effects, even online matching with arcade player! PERFECT.

My favorite phone game. Smooth game play, great songs, an the calibration is great. I may like it more than the arcade. I do think should be a better way to get tokens for tracks besides level ups and the ads. I would also like to see the free tracks rotate. That being said I already bought some track packs. I would though like to see the price of track packs to be cheaper. I found a bug related to bluetooth. It will stutter the audio. Sounds like looping back on itself playing the same buffered audio like 4 times until it loads the next audio into the buffer. Really strange, took a video. All in all, this is a solid game already. Very happy with it. I love the cross multiplayer and hope to see more people using it.

This is one if the most fun experiences I've had on mobile in a long time. I play Stepmania on PC and it was nice bo have nothing like that on my phone. The Monstercat tracks were great, too. But it crashes sometimes in the middle of tracks and wastes my tokens, and when I'm playing offline, it will randomly change languages. A huge problem is that it BURNS through my battery, and needs a saver mode. Other than that, great game.

The game is cool but, the onboarding experience is like it was in 2010. Login with Fb, Google, etc. In the beginning your game sais i have to choose a free track but i have no idea which is free, no visual indicator. About gameplay: the song is playing in the background but there is no feedback when i hit the notes. If i do a mistake song stays the same. It seems they are not linked. Good luck. Ps. Plays much like the arcade version, except doubles and triples are hard to hit on joypad mode. Edit- Swiping access chords help will help lot, and the arcade controller in the works sounds very exciting!

Extremely faithful to the arcade, for better or for worse. Trying to wrap my head around the coin system. Not really sure what I'm paying for when I buy something. But other than that, gameplay is just as fun. Can't wait to get really good before the next MAGfest.

So, loving this game so far. Controls are tight. I needed something new to get into rhythm wise and this was it. Beats a lot of games in its originality, its something new and a welcome change (mind the fact that difficulty increases, and 5 button play is da best) ayt. Thats that. A must download tbh.

Everything is flawless so far. Is there a quit/exit button on the game? Because I cant find it, so I have to force close the game everytime Im done playing. Thanks.

One of the best rhythm games I played so far. The graphics and controls were great. There's an auto-calibration so it's hassle-free, you don't have to waste your time on calibration.

Has a bunch of my favorite songs by virtual riot, Rogue, Hellberg, etc. Plz add more. I love this

I love the game it reminds me of ddr but the joypad is sooooo confusing I like it don't get me wrong the joypad is the only thing a have against this game other than that great songs and gameplay

Get your graphocs dialed in right and you will have a blast. This is the arcade game minus the arcade cabinet and controller itself. Sync feature works perfectly. Excellent app.

This game truly reminds me Dance Dance Revolution. But on a smart phone. On top of that, if you find a song you like, you can buy it!

For what it's worth, I've never played this game before, or even heard of it. But the look on my face when I saw classic tracks from Monstercat, "Elisium+", and even FREEZE POP, I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming! Though I'll have constant anxiety of running out of play tokens to play the tracks I want without paying - I hope there will be more added ways of earning silver tokens outside of leveling up (if it be either more than 3 free tracks a rotation or whatever). Friends list would be cool to add for mobile feature as well (Facebook connectivity, twitter, etc). But this is a really great app. As for paying for songs/packs - the prices seem a little steep? $12 a pack is certainly pricy and can add up if you wanna own everything. Maybe the songs you unlock can also remain free instead of having to use tokens? I like the idea of unlocking even further tracks through challenges of %'s on certain difficulties. I had a little trouble with the video/audio sync feature - I even tested out the "sync as you play" option and had even less luck. But it's a matter of trial and error since all mobile phones are different. Luckily I found a good medium in the end. Though it does make me question what the "offset" stands for at the result screen and if I should be learning from it or not? The note charts are fun and exciting for both 3 and 5 buttons - the variety between the two is just awesome. Though the lack of tutorial or explanation of "slide" or "spin" notes left me a little puzzled - but it's a game that just came out so I won't judge! Clearly the dev's have worked hard on this came to bring it to mobile and they've done an amazing job. From the extra effects like the screen shake and color changes, to the roster of songs, everything is great. I'd love to even beta test this app some time for future features as well. This is a game I'll play and support for a long time!

Why does it request permissions for phone calls?

This game is fun, but a lot of games are fun. This game goes above and beyond with the depth. Control calibration, modes, speeds, songs are all vatiables that make the depth of the game second to none. Take that, and then do it all in reverse. It's endless fun, and I'm really enjoying it. Kudos!

This is the rhythm game I've been looking for gameplay is fun graphics r great and the amount of optimization for controls that suits anyone's preference and the wide variety of songs and still updating with more content keep up the good work and hopefully add more synthwave like carpenter brut

Neon FM is a mobile rhythm game that improves every day, and will always improve until it can reach its maximum potential. A amazing game overall, and I would highly recommend you download this game, especially if you're music-lover.

It's OK. It's a little tough to get credits to but the songs you want unless you buy the credits other than that it's fine. It's not DDR, GH, or RB.

There's a neon fm arcade machine at a mall near me, but I'm glad im now able to play it here in my phone and free songs are on a rotation right?
