About Starlink

Starlink is a tactical real-time strategy game about galactic domination. You start by controlling a star in a procedurally generated galaxy, and each star you control produces ships. You can direct ships to other nearby stars that happen to be connected via hyperspace routes in order to capture them, but beware other hostile factions trying to do the same. Don't let your guard down, or you will quickly find your stars overrun with enemy ships.

If the AI proves to be too much of a challenge, invite a friend (or five) to play with you, and share control of the galaxy with them, or join opposing teams and compete against each other -- it's all up to you.

To make the flow of the game even less predictable, each player can choose from a large list of abilities to take with them into each match that can drastically change the way the game plays. Some abilities are defensive in nature, some offensive, and others are a mix of the two. There are even abilities that let you reshape the galaxy to your advantage, collapsing or creating new hyperspace routes between stars.

And if that's not enough, certain abilities can be used in a sequence for even more devastating effects.

Can your galactic empire prevail and rise up above others? There is only one way to find out...

I've got nothing bad to tell. About a quarter of the game is free at the start and then later on after a few games you level up and can do even crazier game modes with new abilities and fight more AI or players. Overall it's the best game (of this style) out there. I play it all the time when I'm waiting for something or when I'm on a family road trip and I have nothing to do. (I'm not the driver)

Similar to a game I used to play on PC called Pax Galaxia.. Well done game, with no BS ads every 2 minutes, and YES, it IS a FREE game.. While it isn't stopping me from playing, the only thing I'd like to see added would be an infinite ranking system. As of now you stop seeing your rank after you unlock everything. All in all, Great Job on this one.. Thanks! EDIT: Scratch some of that... Got the new update...

Nothing bad to say. About quarter of the game is free and I can easily play it without having to spend a single cent on it. It is really good and the AI is really challenging on higher difficulty. It's a time sink and if time sink is what you want - this is a great option. Bug: when the enemy is using stealth and I use bribe and take over a star, that one star never comes out of stealth mode. Only the one, I have captured with the bribe skill.

its kind of annoying when you defeat an enemy in like 2 mins and don't get rewarded much but other than that great game. no problems or bugs

I don't understand how people think the ai cheat I play on the hardest level with 5 ai players. It's a challenge at the start but once you've gained a front line it's easy. I can understand the players who find this game hard as online players are terrible and most of the time need kicking out of my games.

X70%
by X####:

I don't understand. Your tutorial is kind of useless. How do I use my abilities? Why does my first game playing this I get dominated by the computer? It looks like it might be a good game but YOU NEED TO INCLUDE SOME BASIC STRATEGY HINTS FOR NEW PLAYERS.

X70%
by X####:

It's a competent entry into this genre. But the thing is, I find it very annoying the way they show conflict. I have no idea what is going on when two colours are going to a planet. Sometimes there are numbers of enemy units and then friendly units but it's relatively by chance which way the fighting goes. The fact that this key aspect of the game is unexplained and confusing makes me not want to come back to it

X70%
by X####:

Harder levels seem impossible at first, especially once AI can use specials, but just keep practicing. Only wish is that scoreboard would not come up right away when game ends. I want the opportunity to look at map first, before scores cover it.

J70%
by J####:

Yea. The ai is beefed up way to strong. No strategy in this game. Just the devs trying to beat you for all the money your willing to spend. Real strategy games give you the tools you need to defeat your enemies. Not lock them behind iap's

K70%
by K####:

Ai is an issue, just because other games use cheating ai does not mean the lowest ai setting should use it here. Controls limit battlefield vision. Skills locked behind full game. Worth trying I suppose...

X70%
by X####:

Great game, very addictive, many options, bonuses. For those who says that AI is too powerful, try to rethink your strategy or bonuses. Or maybe just to stupid to win.

X70%
by X####:

This is stupid I've played this on my tablet for 6 years and I want to get it on my phone for more mobility but I can't because it needs me to pay. I don't mess around with the AI because it spawns twice as many ships as you do. Still great graphics.

X70%
by X####:

Garbage game, I have some experience with RTSs and node capture games and this is impossible. It may have been balanced at some point, but I'm not gonna pay money just to stand a chance when is supposed to be playable free.

U70%
by U####:

Good game. Easy to learn, hard to master. Had a few impossible games when playing a desolate map where there were no links between game halves and no way to bring the opposition to battle, but otherwise a game that can be as short or long as you want. Shame it got nerfed - lost all of my level bonuses after a phone failure and can't get them back since this new version limits player advancement unless you pay.

X70%
by X####:

The gameplay was great. When I first started playing I found it was a great time waster with the short 5 minute matches. The 1-star rating is because the developer got greedy, and actively REMOVED features from the game and made them premium only (I was poorly surprised after a recent update and found that game options were no longer available for me). If I didn't know any better I would have thought EA had taken over the development!

F70%
by F####:

A really big problem with this game are the IAPs. All of the more powerful abilities require a purchase, and more ability points can be purchased, making the game pretty much "pay to win". Most of the features are also behind an IAP, however, this is usual for such games. The AI is waaaay too hard even on the beginner level, especially when the player isn't that good with managing his/her ships yet. It usually appears to send *exactly* 25 ships to capture stars, letting it capture stars a lot more efficiently than a normal player can. The game itself is nice, however, especially the concept.

I would love it if you could allow us to buy more ability points from the beginning of the game to use the higher rank abilities. It's a real pest to start from scratch when I just wants to use the other abilities right away.Or be able to buy and unlock all abilities that would be great.

Q70%
by Q####:

The game mechanics are neither explained nor intuitive and generally lacking a good playing experience. Stars stop making ships for no apparent reason, no explanation as to how many ships are required to take a star, no online play unless you get the premium version, can't speed up the game, etc.

Very simple game. Easy to play if you know even the slightest bit about strategy. I play with one hand and still mange to win. Good game guys!

X70%

Looked fun. Wasnt. Cant even control more than a couple stars in beginner mode and on easy. Could be a good game if it wasnt so hard.

I70%

It's fun for a while but then quickly gets dull. If you go up in difficulty it then becomes impossible.

X70%
by X####:

It seems like a good idea, but not a great game.

X70%
by X####:

It's an okay idle game. I spend a lot of time on it since it's a great way to spend five minutes on your phone. A few complaints though. First, the AI plainly has complete information while you still experience a fog of war. This is obvious when the computer reactively sends fleets down the link to your planet when you've exhausted you're fleets in orbit, even though you have no idea of another players fleets without your own in orbit of their planet. Second, increasing difficulty levels make the computer fleets more effective without making the AI any smarter. The computer will slug away at a bottleneck planet and eventually win at Commander difficulty so the game gets away from you within the first to minutes which is more than a little soul-killing. Last, and less a flaw than a gripe of mine, the game immediately plays the soundtrack on starting for the first few seconds even with the sound off. This makes it difficulty to start the game discreetly without turning off the phone's sounds altogether. This should not detract from the total experience which is generally great. This game is okay at least.

I could never find a better game than this one. Its my favorite game ever played

This game has been in my library for years. It's the only game that's lasted that long. No pay to win, no stupid waiting for energy. Just a real game!

X70%

Can't create games for free. Yes, I know that you want to earn money. But not letting people play is quite a bad way to do that

C70%

Game is good. Needs some work but it's good. Most reviews are 1 star complaining about ai cheating. As if ai doesn't cheat in other games? Higher difficulty usually means more bonuses for the ai. That's the damn point of it. So many retards living on this planed these days....

C70%
by C####:

I've played a lot of games of this type and Starlink is by far my favorite of them all. The game is easy and approachable which can fool you if you're not careful. This game is actually difficult to master and requires a lot more attention to detail and the AI than other games of this type. I've actually been able to expand as fast and sometimes faster than the AI. As long as you send 10+ ships to a star you can redirect to another star and capture 2 stars almost simultaneously.

G70%
by G####:

Very fun at first.AI cheats till caught.AI will out produce you on avg 5 stars to 2 within 2min on higher lvls but that's ok. AI will ignore your special abilities or spam it's own ignoring cool downs. NOT OK. AI will walk right over you or barely do anything. Good matches make it fun but they are rarely in a row. The IAP is worth it. Really needs an update. Most abilities go unused and could use a swap with new ones. Made it into top 10 adm lvl. AI reviews 100% true. AI is god or stupid.

C70%

This game is heavily weighted against the player, AI captures stars much faster than the player, and the whole thing is unfair to the point of not being fun. It didn't used to be this horribly unbalanced, but they must've released an update that effectively broke it in order to force people to iap's. I'm done with this game and you should be too.

To anyone who has a hard time beating the AI at the most difficult levels, all I can say is that back door is your last resort.

C70%

Short games. Neat concept. Play aggressively. I produce far fewer ships than the ai usually but still end up winning. Dont try to box the ai in. Attack them directly asap.

T70%
by T####:

As other reviews say, this game is heavily weighted against the player. The AI makes more ships quicker with fewer resources, I've owned the entire map except three planets and it was an even fight. Just take over as many planets asap. My main problem is the interface, the flashy graphics make it hard to see whether you own a planet or it's neutral, and you can't zoom out to see the whole map to plan properly. If you want a good version of this sort of gameplay, look at Little Stars For Little Wars 2.

At first I was fumbling around since I didn't know anything about the game, but eventually I managed to defeat the AI one on one in admiral mode. Great game!

I beat AI's almost every time, (in Admiral or higher) even if they capture stars faster than me, Also the experience thing annoys me.

C70%

You will lose this game 2/3 of the time or more at any difficulty level. The AI is almost superhumanly powerful.

Tapped the "x" in the top right corner with my ring finger accidentally.. Instant defeat.
