About Verisimilitude II
Welcome to Verisimilitude II
This game was created for the Global Archiact Jam by Team TSITAPH.
'Verisimilitude II' is the first known mobile VR application to feature real-world walk/jog detection, without additional hardware. To explore, look in the direction you wish to travel, then gently walk or jog on the spot. Your phone’s accelerometer will detect the up and down vibrations and move forward.
Combining original oil paintings by Pilar Cortés and music by Marcus Dyer, ‘Verisimilitude II’ begins by presenting nine paintings in a virtual gallery, before immersing the user in a world created from that work. Featuring a Myst-inspired adventure element, ‘Verisimilitude II’ functions as both art installation and experiential game.
Can you find your way off the island?
Instructions:
A follow up to iOS VR app ‘Verisimilitude I’, this second application presents an entirely new experience, this time for Android.
After a small period of time to allow you to fit your VR equipment, your phone’s accelerometer will detect the up and down vibrations created when you walk, allowing you to move forward. To explore, look in the direction you wish to travel, then gently walk or jog on the spot.
Sensitivity threshold and walk speed can be adjusted to taste in the settings menu. Beware that too sensitive a setting, may result in unwanted movement being detected and too high a threshold may result in no movement at all.
It is possible to interact with some objects within ‘Verisimilitude II’. To do so, look directly at the object for several seconds, while keeping still. If the object can be picked up or used, it will glow and slowly increase in size. Keep looking directly at it until the item disappears or action is triggered.
Google Cardboard, Durovis Dive or other compatible stereoscopic viewer required for VR mode. 2D mode also available. Headphones highly recommended. Performance will be limited on older lower spec devices.
Safety warning:
Use of this application is strictly at user’s own risk, with the understanding developer is not liable for any injury or damages.
Please take extra care not to lose balance while using this application. Consider holding on to a chair to keep balance and using in a space with soft furnishings. May cause motion sickness. Not recommended for young children.

This app seems so promising but it crashes every time that I "walk into the water". Please fix this! OnePlus One. CM 12.1. 3GB of RAM. When I "walk into water", it loads for about 20 seconds, then goes to my home screen. No app dialog though.
