Mr. Octopus has a problem - he's an aquaphobic and cannot live in the ocean anymore. So he decided to see what's above the water. Sadly, it's a rainy day out there. The only thing that keeps him dry is a little hat.

Rainy Days Game is a 2015 mobile game, created, developed and published by Lithuanian-based designers and developers collaboration team. The player controls the hand of Mr. Octopus, which holding a little hat and attempts to catch as many raindrops as possible without losing any life points. The developers created the game over several days, using “Rainy days” gif which was designed by Lithuanian animator Martynas Puodžiūnas in 2015.

Its very cute and addicting game. However sometimes there are 2 drops being dropped on to you at the same time in different sides, which makes it impossible to protect against. Also, wish the hat was more responsive to touch.

I came to know of this animation and game from Imgur. Politically, I support you in this whole mess. BUT. The original gamemaker did a far better job in making the game - I liked his version better, and its justified difficulty made it even more addicting. As another reviewer put it: the controls seem kinda unresponsive. Or delayed. So, please, increase that sensitivity.

Who did you want to be growing up? An astronaut? President? In this game you are an embodyment of a little octopus. Sad in his demeanor, life hasn't been the very best for this little guy. The same could be said about our own lives. Dreams don't always come true. Sometimes life gives you only a small hat to protect yourself from the ill fates brought to you by the winds of change. A riveting story about a life that's very close to the heart. A reminder of the sisyphean nature of our world.
