Squawk - A space odyssey

A bit boring. Could use a little touch that really makes it this game. Something unique.

I think its a pretty cool game. My phone is kinda hard to roll with but ita worth it

Make it so there's like a ship that you can watch to get to just customize your own ship and like you get parts

Ok. Nothing great. Another game where you play over and over to build up bonuses. I'm kind of tired of them.

The game promises space is a dangerous place and the game certainly delivers on that. The problem is space being dangerous in this case means a cluttering of randomly generated planets and black holes that require quick precise dodging with a lackluster control system lest you die and suffer another annoying, albeit it, quickly skippable​ advertisement. Oddly named squawk (why the hell is it named squawk?? [Answered by the devs]) this game excels at being very... Mediocre. At its core its a charming little game about bouncing a rocket around dangers whilst trying to get collectables to buy upgrades for these collectables so that one day you might finally be able to buy a new space craft. The problem is anybody who has ever played a doodle jump-esque game of this nature to death before will be immediately bored by it before they've even picked it up. Control wise it feels ever so slightly uncontrollable at times which speaks highly of the games physics when bouncing off the line you draw. Its very accurate but annoyingly so. The obstacles you dodge (planets and black holes) come at you fast and in high quantities as you fly up the screen. Though the game gives you forewarnings for their sudden appearance it can quickly become slightly too clustered and i found myself on more than one occasion in positions where i seemingly had no choice but to die (and enjoy another bloody advert). The other game modes that you get brief windows to play in (as they come in the form of upgradeable collectables) are much funner than the default controls and leads me to ask as to why they're not permanent game play styles that can be toggled between as the default? Maybe its a personal issue but i find bouncing off a drawn line both frustrating and boring and id much rather play in the game's snakemode or shootmode. The graphics for the game reek of mediocrity too. Pixel art can be beautiful if done right and whilst the games art is alright, its very boring and gets repetitive real quick. I wanted a new space ship and more colours in the game by like my 5th go. Overall id recommend the game for a short half hour waste but its a game that plays its full hand within the first couple of goes and it quickly becomes apparent that the game is actually rather dull. Not bad. Just dull. ...oh and dial it back on the ads a little bit. I had one between every go at one point. Edit+ Thanks to the developers for the reply, especially about what a squawk is; you learn something new everyday! I'll be keeping my eye on this game as its rare to see developers taking criticism so well and enthusiastically, so kudos to them.

Fun timewaster,has the same gameplay as Jrump,although a spaceship makes more sense than the 45th president of the united states.overall,its fine

I love the simple graphics and the gameplay itself is really fun and addicting, the game shows a lot of potential!
