Rex is a young prince living with his cousin ever since his parents were murdered six years ago. The story begins with them returning to their hometown after having lived in hiding until the assassins were caught. Rex will discover that the town now holds a dark secret called the Scarlet Nightfall which will change his life forever. Could that somehow be related to the death of his parents or is it a completely unrelated phenomenon?
Despite having to worry about the mysteries in the town, Rex will also have time to just relax and be a normal teenager. As Rex goes through his days at his new school, he will make many new friends and perhaps even get himself a girlfriend if you make the right choices. Every so often Rex will get asked a question which you, the player, can choose a response. Different choices will get different reactions from the supporting characters and may even branch out to alternate events in some cases.

I am paying for this. At the very least I expect an options menu, a way to go back to previous messages and save when you get a choice. Neither is possible here. Storywise a borderline 5. Some "childish" lines, more than one would expect from 16-year-olds. Maybe from translation? Get a proper interface for this, and it would be a 5. Not an immediate fan of the art style, much prefer the one on the CGs during the game. But that I knew when I bought it.

I was diffenently surprised of how well this one was. They do fair amount of explaining of what's going on how things operate. Storyline was done better than I thought and a good, diverse set of characters. The only problems I had were: 1. The two big battles felt very unclimactic. 2.(girl endings)I only felt satisfied with 1 of the endings, 3 were okay, and the other I just didn't like. One last thing, for anyone wondering how long this is, for me I got around 6:00, but probably a bit more than 5 hours.

I had my doubts at first but decided to buy this game anyway bcs of the glowing user reviews and since i dont have any visual novel game in my phone library. I was surprised with the great script and story, cute and likable characters, and the way they do it so it looks and feels like we r playing an anime game. I just wish that its a longer game, better last boss battle, and more choices or options for answers and the girls...
