Rpg Maker MV WebGL Benchmark for Android
I make APK from my MV project via intelXDK as you post in your topic, but when I test on my phone it run in very low fram rate, The big problem is BGM and BGS it very delay sometime it force the app to close. For this Benchmark it can run very smooth on my phone ,frame rate 40-60 and also BGS and BGM run very smooth.
Heh, lagged on my phone but worked on my friends. Great way of seeing if MV games will work properly. Quite handy, saved me the hassle of compiling a game myself :D Edit: Works fine on my new phone.
Using Note 4 from AT&T. Great to see if my projects will work. Everything works, however some screen tearing becomes present when messing with weather effects. Good little app to test important key areas. Will test it on many devices. Thanks.
What I just don't understand is how people *cough*kids*cough* see "Ooo! Free game!" and then leave negative reviews because they don't understand what a "benchmark" is... I cannot be alone in this. ... I code when I want to, and the nasty comments / begging "doesnt work [on so-and-so] plz update" prevent me from wanting to make anything for anyone else. *sigh* At least I do some L4D2 editing that works... when it doesn't crash -.- [EDIT: I'll keep this for at least a day - "refund" thingy XD ]
I got stuck when trying to leave after purchasing items. I have an s4 and the game ran smoothly for the most part. Also had the same problem when fighting the orc and got stuck in the items menu. Outside of that, there were no issues.
That was silly, it's a demo just call it a demo. I wanted to experiment with an rpg maker not to see if my phone sucks. What do I rate, it's not a maker, it's a demo... fine I guess
Well I got the game on pc to make an rpg make but I was hoping it would be better than this when I try to make it a phone game. Let's hope this is just the test and the actual thing is better
Its a pretty good test. I use a amp prime and the overworld goes at about 30fps. Adding heavy weather and stuff makes it go to 10fps. and battles go to 50fps.
Result : few lag in town when map scrolls and character moves. No lag in dungeon or in battle. No problem with weather. Phone : powerful Vivo Max
it works perfect on my meizu mc 5 phone (i hate this phone). no lagging, around 50 fps, great work!
How do you actually MAKE something? From what I can see its just a game demo where you can't really do anything...it's called rpg maker so how does it work?
Performed it's intention perfectly. I now know if my phone can support RPG Maker before spending any money to buy it. This apps only purpose is a demo test and with that in mind it does what it's supposed to perfectly.
Good for benchmark. Btw , how did the bgm play automatically? Mine when deployed to android , the bgm wont run on title screen (perhaps whole game) unless i touch or tap the screen , then the bgm plays. Any tips?
It's no fun to make an rpg only you yourself can enjoy. Lags a bit with the animals on max but wouldn't do that in my own game. Thanks for giving me a positive reason to get rpg maker mv. Looks and runs reasonably well. I'd want to find a menu system not dependant on two finger touch to cancel though. Understand it's the authors job to suit the menu system to his or her own preferences. Thanks!

Love the benchmark's ability to test my phone (LG3) to the limits. I ran around 15 FPS, and thought it was especially funny when the girl said, "Let's destroy your phone". Making the weather settings applied to Insane caused the FPS to drop to around 5 FPS. Overall I found this program incredibly helpful. On a semi-side note; there is an option in the default RPG MV editor to change weather? Where is that located, as I am clearly blind. Also, thankx for this benchmark/program.
I bought RPG Maker MV to make free/commercial plugins and try to bend the software to its limits. Let us see what this thing can really do. And come on, people... this is a BENCHMARK... not the actual software or a game... if you don't know what a benchmark is then even RPG Maker is probably out of your league...
Great proof of concept for RPG Maker. Would give it five stars but hated how he said over and over how this is just a test (5, 6? times) I got it the first time. Also the end game does not work.

For some reason, RM:MV slows down tremendously on both my phone and my computer when lots of water is on screen. Still don't know why that is. But this is a great tester, nicely done.
The reason why the game is laggy because the assets of the the game is very huge to load. if the the game is optimized as a 40mb or less, it will load faster. just my opinion. sorry about my English please dont hate.
Great game lmao JK. Great way to test how will run. Appreciation to who took time to make this app. And sorry for those who rate bad thinking its a game. Ignorance must be bliss. but great job to all who created. Thanks
Its so great.. although there are some minor problem...especially when turning each weather into insane, about 70% of the whole screen, from right side to left, went a little darker, like there is another layer on the image, the rest 30% is clear and no problem.. also when i do normal attack, the whole enemy's image just turn into grey, it happens only when we were targetting the attack... also when walking around the town, there's a 0,000xx seconds lag on each step... Overall is so great...

Seems to work okay on my Sony z5 compact, the only main issue was when there were lots of actions and it would lag. It was difficult to get to the menu etc. And it was hard to get out of the shop screen no matter how many times I pressed the cancel button it wouldn't.
I had a few bugs with animations in transitions, like how it would only go black for 2 thirds of the screen, but the frame rate is phenomenal for an LG Phoenix II.
Tried every one of the people at the top, beat the orc, ran at the most extreme settings, no slow down. Couldn't exit/cancel in the shop or buy anything so got stuck in there.
I donno if this brand just have small processors or something (or just because i spilled coffee in it this morning) but this is how it works for me.... •Walking: 12 to 15 fps but will have this sudden jump of 30 to 50 fps. • Weather(any): Insane: 9 fps to 30 fps • NPC spam(last): 11 and 12 fps. • Shake: heavy, 18 to 26 fps. • Battle: 38 to 50 fps • Pan of camera view: 28 to 38 fps. • Purple maze, 28 to 50 fps... Despite the 50 fps. Crashes every min longest with 4. Took me 7 times of gameplay to gather all.
It was awesome! Even if there is bugs! I don't mind at all it is awesome! The 5 seconds I played was amazing!that's why I give five stars!
Running the Game on my Note 5, i get 60fps all around and never drops below 55fps, controls are bit complicated but with a good tutorial can be easily remembered. My Note was not even using its for 4gbs of ram and when I checked it was at around 1.2 gbs of ram. Over all great run time and with the super Amole screen of the Samsung the colors were bright and vibrant. Great benchmark.
I want to say, you've made an impresive benchmark here. My phone lagged out on the Animations Part, Haha...
Its good but no back button to get out of the item menu in the fight so couldnt fully test it but everything seemed to run very well on my galaxy s 6 good job

All of the graphics seem fine on the Note 4 but I went to buy some items and it wouldn't let me cancel out of the screen or sell. I will post more feedback as I continue.
Good testing demo. Normal - FPS is 60 Max. next added storm + many people (FULL) FPS is 28-42. Next added animation three object FPS is 29-39.
I have the Galaxy S7 and I know this wasn't optimized so overall I think this demo was great! Good job and keep up the good work!
When walking around it was really laggy but then it ran smooth with animations weather and everything else would it also be possible to instead tap every time to move you can hold your finger down and swipe to move . it ran below 30 then 50-60 I got software on laptop on PC so might make PC game instead also it be better if you had one for like pluggin examples.
