Prune for Android
An excellent example of mobile game development. A deceptively simple core mechanic is used with surprising variety to create a challenging and intriguing puzzle game with a unique asthetic. My only gripe is the lack of any real explanation of the later growth mechanics. They're mostly straightforward enough that you can figure them out, but it can be annoying.
Great concept. Controls are lacking however. Moving your field of view with two fingers and zooming in and out all while trying to keep up with pruning is a challenge, especially on later levels when there is no room for error. Maybe on a screen greater than 5 inches it would be more enjoyable. $3.99 seems a bit high.
This makes me want to prune trees in real life! Although there would be a lot more waiting involved... I love that this game makes me think but doesn't make me frustrated when things don't go my way. I'm happy to just try again. Highly recommend! If only there more levels!
I like this game it has a lot of potential. But, it's over priced, payed $4 for an app that I beat in less than a day. The camera keeps moving and zooming in as you're playing which is very annoying and aggravating, if i zoom out it will zoom back in. ADD MORE LEVELS! It's an amazing game but $4 is outrageous for a very short and simple game I feel like i waisted money.
Enjoyable and relaxing. At least at first. It loses a star for the aggravation that comes later. I'm all for increased difficulty but it's out now place this game. The intensity wouldn't be so bad if the slightest pruning adjustment didn't disproportionately change growth patterns from on attempt to the next.
This app is an artwork as well as a game. Original idea, flawless implementation, breathtaking audio-visual experience. I wish there would be more games like this, but the masses want mainstream rubbish. Looking forward to your next project!
I have always been someone who clung on to things even if they had a tiny bit of value to me. I found it hard believing that giving up things could lead to better things. I am very insecure of loosing relationships and try so hard to keep them close but i am still so unhappy. My dating relationship was not going well and it recently ended. I find that I feel more free everyday even tho it hurts. I know I am that tree who's finally cut away a big branch and growing towards the light :') thank you. :)
Beautiful, simple but challenging, and completely relaxing. This game takes me to a space where I don't worry about any grievances; I just focus on growing my tree in the right direction, and I pick myself up and try again when I have failed (forward).
Really enjoyed the game while it lasted. I'm older, not tech savvy and I finished this game in two days. Can't believe I paid for it! Fyi - I prune in real life and wanted these trees to look nice, but alas, that's not the real goal here.
Had a ton of fun with this environmental puzzle game. You grow a tree in the direction of sunlight to make it blossom. Cutting branches of the tree makes it grow more in the remaining branches. The growth is sort of randomized which means two people will have very different solutions to each growth puzzle. I really liked this game, I usually lose interest in mobile games quickly, but this one had me hooked, I completed 100% of the game in just a few days, and wish there was more now!
It's an amazing game, perfectly built with a mellow tone and simplistic graphics, however the shortness of it gave me only a few hours of play time before I finished it, and has little replay value. That being said I would still definitely recommend it.
This game is well worth the dollar I spent to purchase it. The idea of the game is to go through each level, growing a tree and trimming it to specifications to allow passage to the next level. The game is simple, but gets challenging at times. Unfortunately, the game can be beat in under 2 hours (this includes blue star levels). If the developer were to add some sort of fun mode or unlimited Zen mode for trimming, this game would be perfect!
Everything is great... Except the audio has this awful Bluetooth glitch. And I mean awful. Everytime I'm connected to Bluetooth speakers or headphones, it sounds so bad I have to quit the app or shut off Bluetooth.
This is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played! Sound was calm and relaxing. Really short game, It took me only a few hours , I guess less than 2 hours , to complete it. Developer should be appreciated
I loved it and played from start to finish, This was only 45 mins. Wish it were longer to give it the 5 stars it deserves. Really relaxing game but again it is just not long enough.
A truly beautiful game. Very atmospheric, excellent gameplay, completely intuitive, and no particular faults. The blue flowers can be quite hard to reach, but the relaxing tone took away all the pressure. I also really like the hidden narrative.
Very nice game, but desperately needs better optimization. My phone may not be the greatest (Alcatel Idol 3) but the framerate for such simple graphics should not be so low. It really interferes with the feel of the game. Other than that, the game is superb.
Great game! Beautiful to look at & very relaxing as well. Once you start playing, it's hard to put it down. The only reason it's not 5 stars is it's short and leaves you wanting more.
Fam library, achievements, save game, sign-in optional, choose acct, no in-app purchases, all that besides a great CALM game. Worth buying! (make more lol n thanks for the sale)
Great game, At first I thought it was too short, I finished all the levels in few hours. I realized that you can go through the game again trying to get the blue flowers (on certain levels). It is possible to do the first time through, but they are hidden, after you complete the game the blue flower locations are revealed. It's much harder and more satisfying the second time through. Still hope to see more original levels in the future for this paid game.
Absolutely the best designed game I've played in a long time. With an app store filled with uninspired remixes of the same stupid game, Prune is a breathe of fresh air. A few levels a night before falling asleep puts you in a great mood, trimming away the the stresses of the day.
The point of the game is clear. Problem is the tree growth fps is lower than i expected, it feels choppy
Meditative, nice gameplay, good music. Overall relaxing experience. Just a bit sad you can't turn off the auto zoom. Makes things harder to control
Really great app. The controls can be a little tricky at times but an overall very enjoyable experience. One thing that would make it better would be a sandbox mode for making wallpapers. I love the aesthetic!
3/21/17- obviously the developers are not monitoring the site. Slide 2-9, info please? Or how do you move to the next plate. Still don't get it. Definitely not relaxing. Really ticked I wasnt the dollar. 3/20/20 I am a diehard and i seriously have always trusted KK. So, plate 2.9 is impossible. Once you hit the red, it kills the tree. Theres no option here. There are some light flashes at the rootbase. Are those meaningful? Enquiring minds want to know. Please help, Grasshopper. 3/17/17 I must be missing something. I've always trusted Kim Kommando, but I think I just wasted 99 cents. Next I think I'll try the "paint drying" app by this developer.
Small master peice ending was a little confusing but i dont think it was worth 5$ still good game overall
Great game, but I didn't find it quite as relaxing as so many reviewers said because there is time pressure. But it's definitely a cut above the rest.
Beautiful aesthetically, challenging but not so much that it takes away the serene feeling you get from this game. Lovely ambient music. If for no other reason I recommend Prune for how unique it is.
Very pretty, but not quite a game. More of a "media experience". I was finished in an hour, so a bit overpriced.
I just downloaded the game amd have yet to play, but the customer service is already a 10/10 because Some thing went wrong with play store and it took my money but i didnt get the game, so i emailed the company and they helped me fix the problem and offered a refund
My favorite app! It's nearly perfect. Only wish there was an option for speed or perhaps a normal "game mode" and a much slower "bonsai mode". I'm not complaining though, I LOVE this app!
The game is such a pleasant experience. The concept is simple yet engaging and stressful at times but thats what makes this game so enjoyable and the art style is extremely beautiful and mesmerizing. So cool they added a feature for you to take a pic of your "work!"
The game is awesome and I'd give it 5 stars except that it appears to be impossible to get the blue flower/diamond on level 5-4?
My only regret is that it doesn't have a creative garden mode where I can have multiple trees (or infinite). I got really into the puzzles in the game and beat it fairly quickly (about 3 hours). Now I really don't know what to do with it as the final creative level is sort of a build and delete on repeat with no sense of fulfillment. Cheers to the makers though. This is one of the most beautiful game experiences on mobile.
Beautiful minimalistic visuals, and simple addictive gameplay.
One of my new all time favorites.
But needs more levels! And what's with the white sapling?!
Not your typical game. Deserves the five stars.
Awesome game needs more levels

Such a calm and relaxing game that still manages to put you on your toes! Can be tricky but the graphics and soothing sounds really keep you relaxed! I tried to challenge myself to see how tall I could grow my tree with pruning and omg. It can go on for a long time with the right cuts! Challenging and beautiful! Just what I look for in my games and this one is definitely both on point!
