Reed for Android
I don't have baby fingers. The button placement is absolutely atrocious. It's too close to the corners so about half the time my fingers have shifted to a more natural position and don't hit anything at all. You can imagine how infuriating this is. What would be a fun game is ruined just because I can't move the buttons to suit my hands.
Pretty addictive gameplay with a cool graphical style, but I really disliked the controls. The left/right controls are a little too "floaty" meaning it is often easy to overshoot platforms or die to obstacles because there's some inertia to your character's movement. It got really frustrating on numerous occasions when letting go of the left/right on screen button doesn't mean that you stop on a dime.
I really liked the concept, trying to help a computer fight glitches. The graphics are very cute with this kind of 8-bit style! Every level is designed precisely, and in a way that makes the game not too easy and not too hard. The gameplay is challenging enough to not be boring, but also not addictive in a bad way. As for the music... I'm truly speechless. I just feel like there should be more levels. Apart from that, the game was absolutely stunning, and It was a great experience playing it. Definitely worth the money!
Somebody said there was a double jump well I'll be damned if I can do one. It's a case of repetitively jumping into a pit of spikes until rage quitting. EDIT: latest update brings better controls and graphics hence the extra stars! Also, second the request for controller and TV support!
Solid graphics, smooth frame rate, and relatively good controls. I wish that I could give this game a solid 5 stars. However, the gameplay itself is rather bland and insipid. The mechanics and level design become redundant quickly. Furthermore, everything is overused and underwhelming.
The jump button sometimes doesn't work. And the gama bugged when I jumped on a platform and died on it and the game was doing nothing so I had to close the game. When I lift my finger off of the button is still walking a bit and because of that I die! 1 star! I want to give more stars but I can't! ve
Great game, challenging but not impossible, cool art style, and amazing music. This developer is really talented. I regret getting this while it was free because I want to give them my money. Only real downside is that it's relatively short. I definitely recommend this.
The camera is off centre and changes perspective evenever you change direction. It's nauseating. There should be an option to centre the camera to remove this effect. And the text is unreadable it's not even funny for a game called Reed. It would be easy for this game to fix issues and be worth 4 or 5 stars.
A fun little platform meets puzzler game. It's pretty short and you'll have it beat fairly quick. There's a short story here; nothing groundbreaking but enough to keep you entertained for a while. The gameplay is solid. Again nothing revolutionary but it plays smoothly. There's plenty to poke and prod at as well, and you can play it at more or less whatever pace you like so it's fairly accommodating for all.
Very fun. My only problem is that some of the pixel font makes the text hard to read, I didn't know what the supercomputer was saying!
Excellent platformer for mobile. Zipped through the levels, but it was very fun! Difficulty is ok for this type of controls. If it had been more difficult, it would have been frustrating. Keep up the good work!
Great little platformer. Don't expect a ton of content buying this game. The only issue I had is that the character feels a bit unresponsive for a split-second after respawning at the level start (maybe it's because you spawn slightly above the ground??). Can be frustrating when you are trying to get back to where you were fast.
I really like this game for its beautiful sprite work and gameplay. However I often find myself putting the game down early due to unresponsive controls. The platforming becomes very hard because of two things: 1. When you let go of the run button your character slides a bit before stopping. This has been the most annoying thing ever, probably costing me half of my deaths. 2. The double jump not working. It just simply stops, very frequently too. Well all in all it is an enjoyable game and I would say it's worth the money.
Very rare that I find a game to enjoy. Mobile games usually su*k a**. Great controls, nice visuals, music and sound. I am a bit annoyed by the font art. It's unreadable. But maybe there is a reason? Story makes me want to play more.
This is a really fun game! Good work! I would like to know how to get the 5 secret levels though. The words are hard to read, you might have to fix that.
Amazing game! Picked it up for free during the sale, so I can't complain, however like the other reviews say, it's far too short. Finished it in less than an hour.
Where do I begin? It states off nice, only for you to be majorly disappointed. Seems cool, but thr controls are mostly unresponsive half the time, and you move really quickly. This may sound good, but combined with the unresponsive jump, it's terrible.
This game was okay, the concept and sound and cube collecting seem to remknd me of another called Fez. This was way to short and the story was lame. Sorry guys better luck next time.
I went crazy a few times over this game! It's a challenging platformer for sure! I found all the secret levels.
This game has great art, great platforming, overall amazing framework and presentation. The font is nice, although not very legible at times. I have played several levels, and I enjoy the difficulty in them.
I don't get why this is described as a classical platformer. The levels are extremely short. It's more similar to Super Meat Boy than to any classical platformers I have played.
Well designed. You don't play these for enjoyment. Fight human limits and find Nirvana? More accessible than Oo, so I'm pushing through.
I would like the game, but the dialogue is unreadable, and controls are a mix of floaty and not. I couldn't get past a very early part of the game because I couldn't see that there were obstacles there, and the spikes kill from the side, even though they look like they do not.
Dude, make the game more forgiving. It's really not fun having to memorize the freaking level.
I just finished the game and I've never felt prouder to have beaten a mobile phone game. This was very difficult and i had to take a break to keep my sanity. I recommend this.
I Don't understand what any of those cats say or whatever they are. I Don't know what I'm suppose to do so had to delete it. Make their words understandable
Please make fonts a little bit readable while retaining its aesthetics. It messes up my head and sometimes gives me a headache.
A pretty well done challenging game that's capable to warm up your finger controls, yet there should be some further, advenced levels to provide the player some valuable challenge for either pre or post ending. Otherwise looks nice except the font itself seems busy (unless it's intended direction) though.
The controls aren't the most responsive and a bit clunky. Otherwise very nice game.
Fun platformer. I'm not a big fan of platformers but I've been enjoying this one. Only issue is if you die on a moving platform you have to close and reopen the app.
Thanks for the reply. Reinstalled! Lousy controls fixed!! I'm still having a hard time reading some text. Change your font. it's uglier than comic sans
Very fun game, it's worth the money. But there are a couple problems. 1. Way too short I managed to beat the game within 2 hours. 2. The secrets are pretty easy, didn't need to repeat any levels at all. unless there are more then 3 secrets, then I didn't find them all. A good thing about the game on the other hand is that every single level you can play slow and steady or just rush through the level really quickly, I like that.
This is a great game. The art style is gorgeous, the gameplay is difficult - But in a good way! The controls are pretty hard but after 20 levels you get the hang of it. Overall this game is definitely one of my top 5 mobile games I've played... and I don't play many puzzle games! Not to mention the secret levels were a good touch! ????????????????????
Edit: controls are so good now. Love the game :) Old review: Finished the game and enjoyed it. Like everyone said before, controls are not that great and double jumping is really hard; but you'll get the hang of it around level 30 and after that the game becomes easy. Another thing is about text, I couldn't read any because the font was horrible and the dialogues were too fast to pass. And at last, I've finished the game and there are still 5 achievements locked which are secret and I don't know how to get them. Some help or explanation would be nice.
This is a great game, I've got about 10 levels in so far, and it's incredibly fun and challenging in a good way. :) I agree about the slide after jumps making the game tricky, but it's possible to compensate by jumping earlier than necessary. The controls feel lovely to play and the levels look so unique. It's rare I have a game installed for any length of time, but this one I'll keep! :)
Very good game. But I want a better history, or a prequel. I feel like the computer is evil. Spoiler ahead. *Spoiler Alert* Secret room levels: 8;19;*;40;47 (the last one idk, but it's between 20~39)
I enjoyed the 2 hour "speed run," and agree with everyone here. The controls are too floaty. May i suggest going raycast rather than a velocity based system. It will make it much more responsive. Good game, bad controls. 3/10
Nice one. The controls can be frustrating because the character keeps moving horizontally for a few instants after lifting the finger. I also wish there was any indicator of which levels contain secret exits. I've replayed them all several times, and I'm still missing one secret achievement.
A really enjoyable little platformer that can be infuriating, you know you can beat a level next time!! My only complaint would be it's all over far too soon, I'd have happily played through twice as many levels. Short but sweet.

Got a response from the developer so gave it another try. Controls are significantly better but still are inconsistently responsive. This wouldn't be a big issue except that the game is very twitchy and some jumps will depend on measures smaller than the 8-bit graphics pixels.
