Tower Defense: Geometry War for Android
Firstly and mostly, towers dont prioritize enemies that are closest to the end, they target the enemy closest to the tower. Secondly gold towers are more efficiently spammed as opposed to saving and upgrading them. Thirdly there is only 3 types of offensive tower attack types: Area, direct and slowing. Lastly, upgrading towers between maps is more efficiently done by using free spins to get the currency, completing levels doesnt reward enough.
Best TD game out there. This retro look makes the game nice to look at and also very clear. Sometimes there are overlaping of the controls and i accidently use bomb instead of unit purchase or when i click on a empty slot right option is off screen but it is not a big issue. But buttons could be more smart and addaptable to game screen. Please make more endless maps or more special game mods. 5 stars from me
This game just forces you to literally pay to win. If you're curious as to why I'm giving this game 4 thumbs down and just 1 star for every aspect, look at all the negative reviews. They're all true.. This game is a waste of your time unless you want to spend 60 bucks or of you're seriously fine with grinding for 50 gold over and over and over again
Its impossible to win this game without large amounts of either grinding or spending money and paying to win. Its set up to appear challenging but without significant time/money investment your towers eventually can't kill a single unit towards the later part of the game. Additionally the game is very simple. Just a few towers which can each be upgraded two times vs enemies that have more health every round.
I found this game to be very fun and addictive, everything I look for in a tower defense game. The ads aren't too bad, you can watch them for money in the game. The problem is the only way you will get enough money to beat higher levels is by paying your own money. You could literally spend the rest of your life watching ads and you still won't have enough money to buy the upgrades you need to win. I have paid for games before and have no problem doing it but this one wants more than its worth!!!
It gets impossible fast. Level 9 is ridiculous, and you would think it was the final level. Enemy health are a little high. Bosses move way too fast and almost always squeeze by with 30%+ health. Only 1 tower is worth using. Finally, the controls are quite unrefined. There's much better TD games.
The game play is good, the graphics are good but as a lot of people have said your basically trapped really early into waiting for days to get an upgrade or part with lots of cash. The rewards you get for completing a level are very small and the 'free stars' mechanic is laughable, for each spin you get a couple of stars / points with an advert after each two. Mid level upgrades are a thousand or so points. It's just not worth the time which is a shame . If it was well balanced I'd happily pay a few quid but not with the deck this stacked against you.
The targeting formula is not perfect, but this game is fantastic looking and addicting. The thing that pisses me off is that EVERY enemy is only worth a dollar. Regardless of how insanely difficult it is to kill them. Upgrading the towers to FULL power would take literal months of playing the same levels over and over again to actually beat the game. It's a money grab. Bought the add free thing, never worked. But they DID take my money...
DEVELOPERS! UPGRADE THIS GAME! Please please please wrote a line of code that knows when you've chosen to turn the music off, and KEEPS IT OFF! Doesn't seem a difficult function to include. I know it's definitely a #firstworldproblem but man, it's driving me nuts having to turn it off every single time. Sort it OUT!
Simple but good TD. Good art style. Some of the difficulty scaling is little bit off/skewed too hard. The ads are unintrusive. Some of the English isn't perfect. If the creators are reading this, I'd be happy to correspond with them and help correct the English errors. Edit: Lowered my rating because the difficulty scaling is way off. Level 8 is just impossible without massive upgrades, which is only accessible through either grinding or micro transactions. Disappointing.
This game is a ton of fun if your looking for a tower defense game! The only thing I would change is how long it takes to upgrade your towers. Not in game - but permanently make them better. You hit a wall eventually.. Still great tho.
Where has my prize chest gone? It has vanished. I keep getting notifications telling me it's full, but it isn't there any more.
Way too hard to level up which makes it unplayable. I tried grinding but realized it would take forever. I don't want to click a free spin 2x to get a 30 second ad to gain 3-6 coins when I need 1,500 coins to upgrade 1 item. There are much better tower games out there
Loved this game until it stopped rewarding me with upgrade points. I enjoyed the game and paid developer 10$ to get upgrade points however soon after I stopped receiving upgrade points that previously I was earning with gameplay. Now Im stuck at a level I think is impossible without further upgrade yet I would have to pay at least another 10 maybe 20 dollars just for the needed upgrade. I would likely have stuck with this game, occasionally paying for points but now I will likely move on. Unless not getting points is a bug and can be fixed. Level 25 may be my last.
Its a great tower defense game. Though advancing through the levels is extreamly difficult without substantial upgrades that cost a fortune compared to how much you earn from levels
Pretty good tower defense but I don't like having to upgrade my weapons basically outside the game. Game should come with the weapons you can get and not force you to do extra work to get 3 stars. The selection of tower placement and upgrades is a little clunky. Otherwise I like the concept.
A solid tower defense game. Good graphics and gameplay. My only complaint is that the sound is tuned very loud, and it won't save your settings. I have to change it every time so that I can hear my podcasts over the game audio. In addition, you can't even change the volume until you have started a game.
Pretty good. The only real problem I had with it was the rate at which you earn in-game curency. It's too slow, which forces you to either grind for money, or buy it. Other than that, it's a great game.
Good game. My big issue right now is I'm getting a notification that my gift is full collet now every half hour....and there is nothing to collect even after sitting overnight
One tower is better than the rest... but level 11 is way more difficult than anything before it..... just isn't balanced...all the towers suck to use but the one explosive one
It's fairly simple to play, but unless your going to spend serious time it's a waste if time after level 10. You need lots of upgrading or pay to progress. It's just advert greed
The game is fairly good overall and has plenty more potential, adding new game mechanics such as, how turrets ai works (target weakest, target strongest, last, etc...) And adding more upgrades or special upgrades after maxing the tower would be interesting. There are typos and grammitical errors, the next lvl button says "next lv" also other small general issues with grammar, and or typos.
Visually epic! Controls more than doable. Gameplay seems fun but that's just you being extracted by the visually simple like eye-candy and decent controls. Game feels/is trying to keep you at just enough fun to think it'll get better when you progress and then those few bugs you spent for that bit extra don't seem to matter because it'll get more fun.. soon.
Decent game but now I have been waiting for my gift box that continually charges up, to reappear. It has been missing for a week now, and I haven't been collecting money because of it. Fix!
In app puchases. Im fairly decent at td games. I imagine most are. Game is set at a difficulty to almost force in app purchases to upgrade equipment. Its a good game but ugh.
Since they've taken the free daily cash away the game is essentially pointless without... surprise surprise spending MONEY. You will get to a point and get stuck. It is not possible to finish the game without upgrades and its not possible to get upgrades without spending loads of money. Nothing but another PAY to win game now.
The game looks good, has ok controls, but comes to a halt quickly as it forces you to farm early levels or pay to win on order to progress. If the repeated gameplay was tolerable I would not complain... but playing the first level repeatedly because it has the highest return on resources per time spent is rediculous. As a side note I was ok with this monotony until my client bugged (intentionally by the developer or not) and I was no longer receiving the daily bonus. To put into perspective you receive about 600 resources a day, the maximum level of most items will cost you 12000, being that there are 6 weapons with several attributes to level, the total time that you would need to level all attributes to maximum would be roughly 8 months, as you can see it is a big money sink. Somewhat fun but not worth the time
Pay to win ultimately. It gets hard fast, and rewards for completing missions is far too low to make buying upgrades viable. Shame as it would be quite fun otherwise.
I'm going to tell you an extremely frustrating flaw in this game. This happens so far on levels 16 and 18 and I foresee it happening in the future. When those purple bosses come out, I could be maxed out in every position and kill them fast... then the little orange guy comes out and SLIPS RIGHT BY even though I know it will only take a few shots to kill him. I have many upgrades active, I have overbearing firepower and I can't tell you how frustrating it is to watch my towers IGNORE the leading enemy when it is the orange guy and instead shoot at something halfway back on the path, ruining my perfect score and wasting all that time.
It's hard enough to get upgrades when some of them cost 10,000 points and you only get like 50 for beating a level. But now the "free cash" thing is broken, so I can't even spend my day sitting through 30 second ads for extra points. It just says "Internet checking, please wait..." and stays there forever. My internet is fine. I checked it and doubled checked it. Restarted my phone, twice. Tried using data. I even waited 15 minutes for it to "check" my internet connection and it never did. It can load an ad just fine when I exit a level, so there's really no reason it shouldn't be able to work other than the devs broke something and overlooked it. Your QA team sucks, devs.
One of the best tower defense games available on the market. I wish it would save your settings. I dont want to have to turn off the music every time I play
3.5 stars if I could. I leaned right on this one because I like TD games in general. A solid game, but great.
Fun game. Cool graphics. Mechanics of game play are a little clunky. Never got to try "infinite mode" as the game always crashed when I tried.
I keep getting a push notification that my free gift is full but when I open the game nothing is there.
I don't like how the tower AI doesn't prioritize the first enemy, it prioritizes the closest to the tower. Other than that, it's good.
Imposible to beat without spending money. Free money...yeah, right, 2...5 or 10 cash...and you have to watch 30 sec commercial. Developers are so greedy nowadays
They removed the large free cash everyday for a very small free cash upgrade scheme. Now upgrades take way to long. Stay away from grame
Gets boring fast. Making money for upgrades is incredibly slow. I'm guessing so you'll pay for it. Wouldn't be worth it. Fixed tower placement and few tower choices.
I've always liked TD games. This one is pretty good

If you are looking to burn some time then this is the game for you. If you are looking to get rewarded for the time you burned then don't expect much. For example... Lasted to wave 107 [endless mode] and was only awarded $267 credits. Look at the average price for upgrades and you do the math... There are other tower defense games that reward appropriately, which leads to fun...
