About Rap-a-Tic-Tac-Toe!
Haven't you always gotten bored with Tic-Tac-Toe ending in a tie most of the time? Wouldn't it be nice to play with the same old 3x3 board and end up with more winning combinations? Look no further! Here is the game that you have been waiting for - the most unique & innovative Tic-Tac-Toe app among the tons of Tic-Tac-Toe's out there!
Just like in classical Tic-Tac-Toe, you place your icons only within the 3x3 board. The twist here is that Rap-a-Tic-Tac-Toe wraps (folds) the 4 edges of the board in the horizontal and vertical directions, resulting in cells in the edges showing up in more than one location (screenshot 1). Before you realize, your opponent has used the wrapping property and won the game!
In fact the basic version of the game results in a player always winning! The real power of the game is harnessed by exploring the rich set of options (screenshot 7):
* Choice on playing with device or human (and assign player names).
* Control number of wrapping sides (screenshots 2, 3, 4 and 5 as samples).
* The innovative wildcard option which lets the second player tear off first player's cell (screenshot 6). This helps second player break scenarios when first player has a definite win situation (causing frustration to the first player!).
* Choose to play blind and not display icons on folded sides. This makes the game more challenging since you have to imagine where wrapped icons would show up during the course of the game!
* As a fun twist you can play with 8 cells instead of 9 cells.
* By the way, the original 3x3 Tic-Tac-Toe game is part of the options (screenshot 3), so you can play the game the age-old way if you wish!
Not to forget, you can mix and match these options - anyone for playing blind with wildcard turned on and 8 cells with 3 folding sides??

Wrapping seems to be a cool idea. Wonder why other Tic tac toes didn't think of this! Could probably use this idea in other board games too. Would have preferred options also to be free :) but will try the upgrade anyway!

A nice extension to the classical tic-tac-toe with the cool wrapping design idea. You can continuously play for a long time without getting bored. One suggestion is to allow the change of background colors. The red blocks and green borders are a bit too vivid to my eyes that I have to take a break after some time and then continue. The game is fun overall.

My 9 years old is enjoying the new challenge of the game. He was trying to use different options offered. But, menu button on the nexus 7 is not that obvious and he needed help.

Nice App. Have lost a few times so far until I started using the wildcard. As claimed mixing the different options does make the game pretty interesting and challenging. My daughter loves it and hasn't been able to keep the phone down since I got this!

Found this game looking for tic tac toe, glad I did. The w(rap) around the edges provides several fun variations to the classic Tic Tac Toe game.

This is a clever twist to Tic Tac Toe. Takes a while to get used to the wrapping ways of winning! My 7 year old loves this game and finds it pretty challenging. As an elementary school teacher I think this is worth recommending as a stimulating app for the kids. Haven't tried out the options app yet but plan to do so once my kid has mastered the basics.
