About Spaceships
Spaceships is a unique, turn based, pass and play game. The objective is to destroy all of your opponent's ships or to infiltrate their space station and destroy all of their power generators. This is done by launching ships from your space station and moving/attacking using a unique, challenging control scheme.
Most players who try this crash their first few ships, often times in comical fashion. Don't be discouraged! There's a practice mode to get a hang of the controls.
Games can be completed in under 20 minutes, and is easy to pick up, making it a great activity for lunch time colleagues.
Features:
- Turn based pass and play game that you play with your friends!
- Practice mode so that you can impress your friends with trick shots and so that you quit crashing your ship in comical fashion.
- Realistic sound processing, which means there's no sound in space! Impress your friends with your "pew" (attacking), "brrrrerrrrh" (moving), and "Kablewghghg!!!!" (exploding) sounds as you take your turn!
- Toddler mode, which is enabled in the main menu settings. This is a practice mode with simplified controls to entertain your toddler by blowing up spaceships, or if you need to convince yourself why simpler controls would be too easy.
- Non-interactive tutorial feature words, words, and more words!
Notes:
- Challenge mode is grayed out because it's not implemented yet.
- When the game starts, it has to generate some procedural textures, which may result in slow down if you jump straight into practice mode.
- People used to iPhones keep tapping below the individual ships, for some reason... You may need to tell them to stop doing that.
- Pinch to zoom in and out.
Limitations:
- Currently there is no game state save. If your phone kills the process you will lose your current game.
- The movement and attacking is completely deterministic, however if your phone hitches for any reason (i.e. because of a background task) while you draw your line then it may create some inconsistency.
Future goals:
- Interactive tutorial
- Wireless / internet play
- Challenge/puzzle mode (single player)
- Single player
- Additional game types (such as HORSE, upgraded ships)
- Better graphics
- More weapon types (proximity mines, torpedoes)
- Premium version
- Sound
Permissions:
- No permissions needed
