Fronius Virtual Welducation

Want interesting welding information explained on your smartphone or tablet? Do you want an interactive experience of product information? Fronius enables this using the new App Virtual Welducation Basic. This App, available free of charge, combines a playful approach to the topic using a gaming and quiz application with an augmented reality tool for Fronius Virtual Welding, called Magic Folder.

The game
The welding game allows the user to gain initial experience of welding itself. Through several levels, the user has to successfully complete different welding tasks in order to achieve a score as high as possible. This score will be displayed within an (online) ranking list.

The quiz
With the quiz application, the user playfully develops basic know-how on welding. After successfully answering 10 multiple choice questions on welding through different levels the achieved score will be integrated within an (online) ranking list.

The Magic Folder
Using the Magic Folder is very easy and works in combination with the new Virtual Welding leaflet: Every page within the leaflet has “markers” which are pictures. In order to retrieve additional information, the user tracks the markers using the camera on his smartphone or tablet. Thus he / she will get videos on Virtual Welding, 3D simulations of welding processes, as well as descriptions of the main benefits of virtual welding training
