TCOS! (Unreleased)

On the distant planet of Flubbergon, the inhabitants are up to their eye balls in trash! While skilled in intergalactic travel, the secrets of sanitation have so far eluded them. The Flubbergonians must find a way to get rid of the trash before their entire planet is overcome with mountains of goop. Their plan is dump all of their excess goop on another planet...Earth! We need your help, citizen, to put an end to their dastardly deeds!

TCOS v0.2.1 ALPHA RELEASE NOTES AND INSTRUCTIONS

This is a prototype build for Project Tango. It uses motion tracking Motion Tracking and Area Learning for pose estimation and precise tracking of the scene. Now, you can run around your house taking down those pesky aliens!

Mesh generation is currently being incorporated so that the game can interact with the environment. An advanced, open loop, distributed control AI system is also being built to respond to the environment in real time.

This is an alpha version and requires some steps to set up before a game can be started.

The current build does not support ADF sharing, so devices must be started from the same point and orientation for multiplayer to function correctly. ADF sharing will be introduced in the next build.

STARTING THE GAME IN SINGLE PLAYER :
1)Start the game
2)Click the ‘Single Player’ button.
3)Follow initialization instructions.

STARTING THE GAME IN MULTIPLAYER :

1) Install the app on two devices.
2) Make sure both devices are connected to the same WiFi network.
3) Start the game on both devices.
4) Tap the ‘Multiplayer’ button on both devices.
5) Tap the ‘Host’ button on one device and the ‘Client’ button on the other.
6) The host device will now show you an IP address.
7) Enter that IP address on the client device. (But don’t click any buttons yet!)
8) Press the ‘Start’ button on the host device.
9) Now place the client device as close as possible to the Host device without obstructing the cameras. Make sure both devices are pointed in the same direction, so that the camera view on both should be nearly identical.
10) Click the ‘Join’ button on the second device.
11) Follow the initialization instructions.

INITIALIZATION INSTRUCTIONS :

1) Hit the fire button to start creating a mesh of the environment.
2) Walk around and map the environment.
3) If there are two players, both players should go around individually and map the environment.
4) After finishing the mesh generation process, hit the fire button.
5) If there are two players, both players need to hit the fire button to move on to the next step.
6) Set a location for an alien spawn portal.
7) The Host player should point at a flat surface and hit the fire button.
8) Then the game will start.
