Recently got a ZTE 7 and Daydream to try VR and this is one of my favorites so far. It's mostly what I show to people wanting to try mobile VR. The controls and graphics (for mobile game) are great. One minor thing is the variety in enemies / levels / gameplay isn't very big but it's still a must have after getting Daydream.

Am I missing something here. This game got excellent reviews, but I could get past the second level because I got frustrated by the camera. You are playing looking right for far too much of the time, and then got to a section where I was walking toward myself, going backwards. How can a fight an enemy behind me. A simple control to swing the camera 90 can't be that hard. I tried click hold drag, fast swipe left or right, nothing. My neck hurts from all the looking extreme right. Could we get some camera controls added please Devs?

Brilliantly done. Surreptitiously addictive offering hours of entertainment. Minor glitch in character getting stuck, unable to move (had this happen near the portal on the final raid level).

The art is great. I dislike the point of view being third person. The game would work much better if it were first person so you didn't have to have your controller upside down when running toward the camera. The level up system is fun. The voice-over acting is sorta stupid after the 500th time. And I also flew off the edge of the world in the third map raid zone and had to force quit the game, wasting a chunk of time. The levels are also a bit too long for me (is it over yet? No..still not over yet, meaning you have to set aside 25-30 min to advance, it seems.). Be nice for a portal to take you back to the main pathway if you take a side route rather than having to run all the way back.

Amazing. Can't ask for too much in the r realm but this hits the peak , maybe besides what one guy said about gear and harder enemies . Still best for daydream ,hands down.

Great looking graphics. Very immersive. Mediocre gameplay at best. Confusing controls and camera angles. Not very diverse gameplay. This game mostly about graphics.

A staple of daydream and a must have. One complaint would be combat consist only moving your head and isn't all that envolving

Q70%
by Q####:

One of my favorite daydream titles. Levels are gorgeous, and game-play is simple, but addicting. Would like to see more variety in game-items and more maps, but otherwise an outstanding job. Gameplay is similar to the orthogonal view of Diablo -- but in three dimensions. (This actually looks a lot cooler than it sounds -- you have to try it to see what I mean).

The controls and graphic are great with great gameplay, but it gets repetitive and boring quickly as they just reuse level sections with different enemies. Worth a couple bucks tho.

Fun game. Just do yourself a favor and recent your controls every break in the action.

Great game play (I recommend using your left hand with the daydream controller and use gaze for shooting). Easy to pick up.

I enjoy it, but the drifting and constant re-centering really destroys the game play for me.

I want more of this! (1) simple dungeon crawler (2) old-school 3rd person view expertly done with VR in mind (3) cheap

Cool control scheme. A little slow travelling. Sequel could use sprint and jump.

Fun, plays kind of like a basic Diablo game. Good graphics, 3rd person controls.

Best game on VR I have ever played, it's so epically awesome. It is also a very addictive and challenging game.

You need a unstuck button. Twice I've gone through the raid and got stuck on the last platform with the portal and got stuck in a corner. That's a lot of time to just be wasted because you have no continue progress set up either. You have to quit to get unstuck. That's not cool. I will return to the game when that feature has been added. I'm not going to continuing get stuck in parts of the map trying to avoid enemies.

I really like this, but the lack of new tiles/locations and the lack of challenge kinda spoils the broth. Any fight can beat by running in a circle and shooting. Maybe if some enemies flanked? Something more complex than following. Maybe even a new enemy to do something more. The locations are cool but the repeated layouts kinda kill it.

Love this game but it's needs better enemies and more dungeon crawling and looting. I really dislike the enemies in this game. They are not really scary, cool looking or hard to kill. Please continue updates with this game and add new content. This is the closest thing to Diablo on the daydream VR that we have so far.

This is a fun game to showcase the Daydream! Nice graphics and fluid gameplay. My only complaint is that it's a bit shallow and can get boring. Add some depth and you've got a 5 star game!

This is one of my favorite games for Daydream because of the perspective. You're about chest height parallel to the level and it builds and deconstructs around your character. You move with the touchpad like a virtual joystick (very accurate) and can aim with the controller or with your head. I haven't made it very far, but I would like to see some kind of gear or equipment added to the game. You unlock and upgrade different abilities both passive and active, but I would really like if I could "earn" rings or armor with stats. I don't expect that as it would be a change to the core gameplay, but I can dream. There are raids and multiplayer, so bonus points to replayability and it seems like higher levels have "hidden" areas off of branching paths that allow you to tweak your personal difficulty experience. This game is definitely a top 10 pick for Daydream!

Excellent production value, but the gameplay is a little thin. This is a really clever use of VR, and the game looks very cool, but the action is plodding and repetitive. Power ups don't make the game more fun or interesting, and all of the levels look and feel the same. I would be happy paying $1.99, but I don't think I got $4.99 worth of value.

I've really enjoyed this game, and the devs have been great with constant updates. It's a lot of fun, and, in my opinion, the best daydream game available. My only complaint is that it's a pretty shallow experience at this time. Both characters feel the same with similar weapons, and combat is very basic. I'd love to see an update that adds some depth to each of these aspects along with new playable characters. Overall it's a good game with potential to be great.

The one thing i would like to make you developers think about is web based gameplay. The subscription of most providers are getting cheaper and bigger in data packages. The access points for wifi and 4/5G network are growing rapidly all over the world.a fully native game is just to much. Make a hybrid

It's a very fun simple Diablo type game. This game definitely sets the bar for Daydreams release. I haven't played RuneScape for about 12 years, but now I want a RuneScape type VR game...

I don't normally review apps, but having a game this fun available with the launch of a platform is incredibly rare. It's not incredibly difficult before finishing the game and unlocking campaign mode, but the visuals, controls, and gameplay are all fantastic.

No, this isn't likely to be the game everyone is talking about for Daydream a year from now, but for an initial release it is exceptional and very encouraging for the quality of what is to come. Graphics are great, no stuttering or lag, targeting/movement systems are pretty easy to learn and effective. While it does tax the battery a bit, on a full charge one will actually run the controller dry on battery before the phone, which never overheated. Worth the $.

The game has you looking down on your character, Diablo (or Gauntlet) style, and it works marvelously in VR. It's actually probably my favorite use of VR so far. Go through fun (but repetitive) levels, blasting enemies with magical attacks, I'm sold. Only problem is that the levels all feel pretty much the same. I'm also hoping for more loot!
