VR Fantasy for Android
Out of all the RPG style VR or Google cardboard games I've tried, this is one of the best. The only issue i encountered was the view would start to become tilted every few minutes, but it can be fixed by tilting your head in the opposite direction. The game is short with only 1 level and 1 boss, but I hope the dev's will continue to expand it. I would gladly pay a dollar or two at the most to see it fully developed into a larger game! Keep up the good work!
So far the game seems good but my character just moves so slow having to look down at the feet to get it moving and using the action button on my vr headset to fight is a pain.. I have a one handed blu tooth controller with joystick that came with my headset but does not work for anything in this game.. Can someone recommend a good controller that actually does work? Please help. It would make this game a 5 star game easily if I could know what controller actually works. Thanks
Samsung Galaxy S7 - It could be better if you put in some higher resolution textures... I'm waiting for the new Gear VR wireless controller/remote support, then I'll give it another shot. ;) And can you please make something about the image, NOT TO WAVE, when turning around?! It makes me sick and my head hurts...! What, it's 30fps or what?? :(((
The first time and until I beat it. But there's not much to it. I loved the game, but I wish there was more to it. It says "frequent updates" but how frequent? Once every some odd months? That's not frequent. EDIT: It hasn't updated in over a year. Nothing has changed since my last review. You guys had something good, and completely dropped it.
I don't want to have to stand and play this so I can turn. Maybe it's my controller or phone but I could get any sort of options menu or any information of any sort. I was just dropped into the game with no explanation of any thing. If there was a way to recenter the screen so I don't have to stand to turn a full 360 I would enjoy it better. Maybe all games are like that idk this was my first VR game. It looks great but I have no clue how to play it...
Came back to this game and it's still so stunning! It stands out from so many of the other VR games. The graphics are cartoony yet amazingly detailed. The gameplay is great as well. Not the most satisfying sword motions but good enough. The controls are alright but I definitely recommend you use a gamepad. Over all, this game is amazing and you should download it!
Best vr rpg experience! Loading the arrows was difficult at first but I got the hang of it. Combat needs some tuning, and it would be cool if we had the option to toggle between run/walk . I used a ps4 controller for a smoother gameplay, which was more enjoyable than clicking with the botton for Google cardboard. For a demo, this was fantastic.! Thank-you for a great experience!
I know it's still growing.. But still. My only single complaint was, when playing without a controller, looking down.. It was hard because I would accidentally go over the icon to walk once or twice. And it was difficult to change my weapon because everytime I'd look down I'd stop/start walking when I didn't want to. My advice would be to, when you look down, go left for the weapon and right for the walking. I'm not sure. Either way, it was fun while it lasted, and I hope more things get added quickly.
I really enjoyed it. Only problem is there isnt more! This has so much potential. One bug I encountered was I couldnt pick up the arrows at the end to load the balista so i had to go up and stab it. 10 out of 10 PLEASE MAKE MORE best vr game out there.
One of the best virtual reality supported game! Although the dragon fight was a bit glitchy as I could not insert the arrows in the bow no matter what button I pressed(after taking all arrows from boxes) but still I would give a 5 star. ????
Well i think over all it was good it wasnt perfect but i wasn't expecting to to be. Virtual reality just begun.. and this is probably the most advance vr game ive played. The only thing is i cant figure out how to collolect the arrows on the dragon fight. This makes me excited to see where virtual reality is going.
My very first experience with VR. And it was EXACTLY what I wanted. Please, I BEG YOU, make this a full game. Theres nothing else like it, and you could easily charge like 5 bucks for a full game and make a killing. Thsre is absolutely a market for this, crying out and you have the answer. This is my plea to the developer, make this a full game!
I'd rate this higher if the controls actually worked. I've tried using a View Master VR and Hype Cynoculars headsets, but neither worked. None of my Bluetooth controllers worked, and the View Masters trigger that presses the screen doesn't work. I love the graphics. It's a good concept, if it actually worked.
Looks great! Key mapping for BT controllers seems necessary and something to let you know where your hitting and/or enemy health indicators maybe. The overall interface for health / magic could use some tweaking. Couldn't load the crossbow due to lack of proper key mapping (nothing would pick up the arrows). - Stock Nexus 6p + Moga Pro HID mode. -
The setting and ambiance are immediately appealing and the visuals are reminiscent of old school dungeon crawlers. I didn't get very far though because it made me feel a little ill. I have used Google Cardboard to watch videos and have tried some other games without a problem, but VR Fantasy made me feel ill after only a few minutes. A few other reviewers have complained about this so it could be an issue with graphics or frame-rate or the need to head-swivel a lot to proceed with the game. If developers care to comment, I'm using a Moto X 2nd generation on Cardboard ordered directly from Google.
Wish I could've loaded the arrow gun on the finally dragon boss fight. It wouldn't let me pick the arrows up. That's the only problem I had. Please make these games longer game play. It'd be so fun!!
Great game! The only problem I ran into was with the controls. It didn't respond to my Bluetooth controller for some reason so I had to stick with the cardboard controls. Other than that rather annoying problem I had a lot of fun.
Not good at all. You can't "aim" when trying to attack the green blobs. It decides to actually hit the enemies whenever it wants to so no matter how much you try to hit them, your attack misses 95% of the time.
I own a controller and it is the one displayed in game. The use/action (I'm assuming there is one) doesn't seem to work and it is impossible to get past the first puzzle. However it is still a very nice looking game, and I can't wait to get started on it.
This VR Fantasy is the best VR games that I played so far, but theres a lack of control like picking up arrows and such. Im using Mi Joystick and the game response smoothly, just what I expected. Nonetheless, this game need to be better than now, I'll be waiting for next adventure from you guys!!
Game is fun to play so far, only got through the demo. Could tweak the weapon swings for sure. One thing I'd like to see tried is allowing right stick to control directional change, i would like to be able to walk a straight line without head movement changing the direction. In life you don't move your body with your head every time you look a different direction. Good potential here, 1 of 2 or 3 I didn't uninstall almost immediately.
I have a galaxy s6 and for me the screens were not displaying the same image. On the left screen you could see the sword but not in the right screen. Made it blurry unable to play.
This game has a lot of potential and infinite possibilities. But first let me discuss what i had experienced. When you use bluetooth game pad you have to literally tilt your gamepad 90° to the left so its not confusing to walk but its not comfy, so does handling it by one hand and when you push forward you strife to left. And you can only use that movement in 4 direction, uhh my neck hurts working around movements. Lets move on to combat. I dont know how combat works pleasr add tutorial. Good job devs
I like the gameplay experience however when I make it to the first Dragon the crossbow arrows won't add to my inventory and I can't load the crossbow. I'd like to progress in the game but can't get anywhere. This glitch is the reason for two stars.
The game looks really fun and i really want to play it, however the centers of the 2 split screens are not the same making me see double and unable to play the game please help me. I have a galaxy s6
I have a pc game controller and i can connect it to my phone via otg, movement is working unfortunately fire doesn't seem to work. Can we make it happen?
I loved the game, it really puts you into the game. Very cool graphics. I think combat is difficult if the slimes get right up on you, they're hard to hit. I'd love to see this expanded.
One specifically being that there seems to be some sort of latency/lag issue with the headtracking, giving me motion sickness, which sucks because I wanted to keep playing but had to stop aha
The is very basic but it works very well the enemies later on make for an immersive experience. I would pay for a full version with better combat feedback. It was hard to know if I was making contact with weapons.
The game is a really nice exams of what can be done with vr paired with a controller. However the sword in the game has almost no weight to it and the swinging animation is more like a gentle tap. This makes it really hard to predict what will and won't land a hit on an enemy. The game has potential, and I do recommend it, just not that this flaw makes the combat incredibly clunky.
Sometimes I could not pick up items (potions or the arrows against the dragon) I killed the dragon by standing underneath him and kept hitting him with the sword until he died. also make the flame shooter be able to shoot continuously with a set time in between. Because now you keep pressing in the hope it will fire but it doesn't so you really need to wait some seconds until you can press and actually fire. (Reset timer when actually fired not on the button press) other than that very well done keep it up!
Awesome game! So much fun and exactly what vr should be doing. Using the arrows on the boss is giving me a little grief and the game only takes around half an hour but still 5/5 in my books.
I don't know why but I got nauseated playing this and haven't on any other VR game. Possibly because of the movement. Otherwise it is a great start and attempt at this sort of game. Improvements should include a point of aim, damage feedback, and a little more detailed instructions. I used the scepter to kill the dragon because I couldn't get the ballista to work.
I dont know how many ms of latency there is but i get a bit motion sick because of this latency. I dont think my s7 edge is what is causing this latency since it is one of the most recommended phone for vr.
I really like the mood and look of this game and it really is a nice start. Also would love to pay for an ad-free game. The biggest issue for me is the quite bad headtracking lag. You really notice it after trying the quake (Qvr) or half-life (Xash3D VR) ports that both run real smooth on my Oneplus 3. Any disconnect like that in vision will introduce nausea. Also like many have mentioned, control mapping etc. settings should be configurable.
Unplayable due to mapping. Was really hoping to play this. The screen to select your controller even showed my exact controller, but I can't interact with anything.
Got North VR headset for Christmas. Tried this game first. Played on Motorola Droid using PS4 controller. Very immersive. Completely lost track of which direction my body was facing IRL. Motion sickness began to set in around 10 minutes. Main criticism for this version is I couldn't interact with arrows to load the bow. Otherwise, very cool experience. I would pay a little for a bug free version and a lot for a polished version.
I really enjoyed this games, and I would love to give it 5 stars but a few changes to UI would be fantastic. Looking up to see vitals is super unintuitive, and simply having it in the upper left corner of your vision would be nicer and easier to keep track of. Also, I encountered a bug in the final boss where I couldnt load the crossbow for some reason. All in all, its a great intro to cardboard, and I'm looking forwards to other games you guys make!

It was a lot of fun and the graphics were actually a little impressive. Has a fun system that allows you to look up to see hp and mp which didnt take me very long to figure out. The game was easier to figure out then other games ive played. The only reason I can't give this a 5 is because when I got to the second area I froze and couldn't move my character or use my controller. Very strange!
