I tried the free version. the controls work well. I like tilting for direction. As an old quarter- pumping arcade game player who struggles with 2-joystick, 4-button games, these controls are clear and responsive, and the look is vintage!

Controls not documented and neither way works right. Graphics are a little goofy.

Still a long way from playable though. Only managed to figure out controls through trial & error. Opponents are constantly flying at the top of the screen & automatically defeat you unless you manage to catch them mid-flap. Not quite up to par with the arcade, but good start. Keep working on it.

Controls Suck

Did you know that the old game of Pitfall is available as an app with incredible updated graphics and music and movement that syncs perfectly on touchscreen devices? After that discovery, I went looking for my all-time favorite Joust. This pitiful thing is such a disappointment! Please go get with the maker of Pitfall and learn how to do it.

Directional flight is difficult to control. Graphics and sound aren't as good as expected if you're a fan of the original game. 5 minutes of game play was enough for me.

Taking for ever to download

Could be a great five star game if only we could joust against other live human beings who are online why not where u could name your character change its look with more options and play against friends in battle chose by host on which level how many allowed in lobby and let people join in at any time like a poker table and a feature to look up people by name or see if friends are currently on it would show you and give you option to join... Hope this helps like this idea of old Atari type joust could be a really fun game!!!!

Awkward controlling

I love the arcade game Joust so tried this out. There's nothing to recommend it. Lazy implementation that doesn't attempt to mimic the original game. Poor controls. Poor collision detection. No concept of scoring or multiple lines.

Tapping does nothing, tilting, you cannot see the screen. I was so disappointed. This was a great arcade game. I have a nexus tablet, there isn't any joystick for tablets. Instructions would be nice . what kind of multi-tapping. He will not even come off his pedestal.

Not familiar with original game but seems pretty pointless, awful controls as well.

I was looking specifically for an android version of Joust and found this. Nice work. Keep tweaking the graphics and work a little on the left-right controls and I'll drop the buck for the full version!

I was recently introduced to this game and I really love the classic simplicity of the game. Great app!!!!
