IMPORTANT UPDATE: If the speech output of "non-native-english" airlines like Lufthansa, Alitalia etc. sounds strange, please make sure you have all needed languages (French, German, Italian) installed: Settings -> Language & Input -> Text-to-Speech Output -> Settings -> Install voice data
IMPORTANT: This app may be incompatible with the app "Launcher Pro". If it should crash after using "Launcher Pro", try starting RadarContact from the normal Android home screen.
This is more a simulation than an arcade game. However, you will find every information required in the help section so you can try being an air traffic controller even without previous aviation knowledge!
Important Note: This application is optimized for tablets! It should run on any screen size and resolution. On small screens however, usability may be restricted.
- Control arrival and departure traffic (40 different airlines) at one fictional airport (eight in the full version)
- Assign headings, altitudes and speeds
- Clear Direct-To and into holdings
- Use RNAV transitions at selected airports - FULL VERSION ONLY
- Lead aircraft onto the instrument landing system
- Independent parallel approaches on some airports - FULL VERSION ONLY
- Handle occasional missed approaches

- Guide departures to their exit waypoint

- Close and open your sector to handle heavy traffic

For speech to work, at least the language English (US) has to be installed. For more pilot accents, additionally English (UK), German, French and Italian may be installed. As a controller on VATSIM I've seen quite a few APP controllers on duty. I've had 2 game overs to this point while following real life procedure. (1) Accept a handoff asap. Tower sent me a low plane, which I accepted and sent up to FL140, HDG090. Game over. (2) Missed approach, climb FL030, HDG260 ('Maintain runway heading'), SPD250. Game over.

Nice simulation, but I would like to report a few glitches. 1) sometimes after reloading a saved game, the transmission text uses a larger font which annoyingly covers too much screen. Not sure how to reproduce, seems random. 2) if a label goes off the screen, there's no way to recover it especially if this happens right after reloading a saved game (e.g. if you have some milno departures flying along the bottom of the screen) 3) sometimes flights will go in flight avoidance mode for clouds that are too far away to be relevant. Happens also for flights on holding patterns well away from weather. 4) sometimes flights go in "stupid mode" and don't report clear from weather anymore. I *think* this happens when you give a "direct to" order to a flight that is avoiding weather. In a real situation, one would be able to talk to the pilot and ask where the hell he think he's going :-) Version 6.0 (trial) on HTC 816, Android 4.4.2

Started a game with default settings (1/10 dep, 1/10 arr, clear weather). Told tower to release the departure, accepted the handoff when it showed up, cleared it Fl150. GAME OVER... Departing aircraft need a 'grace period' before they're counted as too low... Either that or TWR shouldn't send a H/O request until it's at the proper altitude, as done IRL.

After selecting "Start New" in the main menu, the picture when opening the application is shown, then it takes me to the main menu again. It keeps doing the same thing when I press "Start New". In addition, I bought the full version and I had to refund it because it gave me the same problem. Please fix this issue. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with Android 4.4

As a RL pilot and a huge fan of the old TRACON game, I love this app. It's challenging and playable on my phone. My earlier comments about excessive battery drain were incorrect.
