SUMOTORI DE CHU

The game SUMOTORI DE CHU is inspired by SUMO sport. Sumo is a competitive full-contact sport where a wrestler attempts to force another wrestler out of a circular ring.

The originality of SUMOTORI DE CHU is that it is a minimalistic network game for two players. Each player plays with its own mobile device. The motion of the wrestlers are controlled through tilting of the mobile devices and movement of the players itself.

The positions of the wrestlers, score and sounds are synchronized through WiFi in a local network. Player can score only after having hit the opponent and when an heart is displayed. A heart is display for about 2 second after the opponent have been hit The player score when the opponent hit the ring.

The motion of the wrestlers are controled through the gyroscope (tilting) and accelerometer of the mobile devices. The players can control the motions by tilting the mobile devices. They can also give an impulse by making a step to the left, to the right, forward or backward.
